Your Best Life is ... Later. The false teachers in Ephesus were preaching a "Your Best Life Now" gospel. We likewise are bombarded by this message all the time. But if you want to Fight the Good Fight all the way until the final bell rings, you have to Fight for your Best Life Later, in the resurrection. FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT // In our first episode of the new year, Mace is joined by faithbridger Rich Forrest to discuss what it mean to "fight the good fight" and truly be transformed by the gospel.
In week one of our first Timothy study, we discover that the apostle Paul is writing to his protégé Timothy because false teachers are trying to preach a false gospel in the church at Ephesus. Paul encourages Timothy to fight the good fight, to believe the true Gospel and be transformed by the gospel. We likewise need to keep fighting the good fight as we are bombarded with the false gospels of our day.
Our Fight the Good Fight season kickoff comes from our spring 2022 Shop Talk event. In this episode, planting and lead pastor of Seven Mile Road Houston, Jeremiah Morris, gives us 2 tools for our tool box that will help us persevere in the fight and be able to say at the end of our lives that we have fought the good fight.
