Pastor Ken teaches from Genesis 32.
There is something truly amazing about the God we serve. Unlike other religions that adhere to a mindset or the teachings of someone who remains dead, we follow Jesus Christ…the Word of God made flesh. He died for our sins on the cross and rose again three days later. So if you've been hesitant to learn more about Jesus, Pastor Ken invites you to reach out to Jesus. Ask God to make Himself known in your life, and without a doubt, He will reveal Himself to you. So, what are you waiting for?
When we look at the New Testament, we often focus on the life of Jesus and sometimes overlook the fact that He was a true man of strength. Jesus had a mission and purpose behind every action He took. In today's message, Pastor Ken reminds us that the God we serve is not weak or frail, nor is He someone who remains dead. Instead, the God of the universe came down to earth as a man, gave up His life for you and me, and conquered death on the cross. His name is Jesus, and He wants you to follow Him.
Pastor Ken teaches through Acts 13:1-3
Do you remember the early days of your relationship with your spouse? That feeling of excitement when you see each other and the special connection you had during those moments together is almost indescribable… That's the kind of relationship God desires to have with you. Many people think of God as a distant man in clouds, but in reality, He simply wants to be with you. That's why He gave the world His Son, Jesus. Today, Pastor Ken wants you to know that the God of the universe wants a personal relationship with you.
Sometimes, when we feel the presence of God convict us, we can try to deflect that feeling. But no matter how much we try, when we know the truth, it doesn't go away… the question is, what will you do with the knowledge of Jesus Christ? Will you go back to your old ways, or will you take a leap of faith with Jesus? In today's message, Pastor Ken encourages you to give your life to Jesus Christ and to live a life of obedience not just to Him, but to His Word, His truth…the only truth, the Holy Bible.
Have you ever had one of those days when you feel completely drained? Not just physical fatigue, but emotional or spiritual exhaustion? Everyone experiences off days when they feel disconnected, and it's often during these times that we are most vulnerable. That's when the enemy takes advantage of your weakened state, presenting opportunities that lead you to ignore your better judgment. Today, Pastor Ken urges you to turn to God and allow Him to renew your strength when you feel spiritually weak.
Living as a Christian in this world can feel like walking through a dark room with a lit lantern. The light exposes things others would rather keep hidden, and not everyone welcomes it. Jesus said the world would hate us because we are not of it. We live by a different standard, guided by a different King. Pastor Ken will declare today how your choices, your values, and your hope stand in contrast to the culture around you, but God still calls you to shine the light of Christ even when the darkness pushes back.
The Old Testament isn't just a collection of ancient stories; it's a tapestry, woven with threads that all point to Jesus. From the Passover lamb in Exodus to the bronze serpent in the wilderness, from Jonah's three days in the fish to David's victory over Goliath, these moments foreshadow the Savior who was to come. They're not random events; they're divine signposts, guiding us toward the Messiah. Today, Pastor Ken explains to you how these stories reveal Jesus as the centerpiece all along.

Our memories can be like footprints in the sand, clear for a moment, but soon blurred by the tide of time and life's distractions. That's why keeping a journal can be so powerful. It's a way of pressing those footprints into stone, preserving the story of how God has shown up in our lives. Pastor Ken will encourage you today to write down answered prayers, blessings, and moments of God's faithfulness in your life. Then you will have a record you can return to when doubts creep in.

Money is like fire; it can warm a home, cook a meal, and light the darkness, but if it's left unchecked, it can burn everything to the ground. The Bible treats money the same way: it can be a blessing from God, a tool for good, but the love of it, the desire that consumes, can destroy lives. Today, Pastor Ken will explain how scripture doesn't condemn having money; it warns you not to let the flames of greed take over your heart. Learn how to use money for God's purposes while keeping your devotion fixed on Him alone.
The Church is called to be salt and light—a beacon of truth and grace in a world drifting from God. Yet too often, we find ourselves shaped more by the culture around us than by the Word of God. It's like a boat meant to carry people safely across the water, but instead, it lets the tide carry it wherever it pleases. Pastor Ken will warn you today in his message that when you allow the values, priorities, and patterns of the world to steer you, you lose the very influence you're called to have.
We're in the middle of a battle, not one fought with swords or bullets, but a spiritual war that rages in our hearts, minds, and the world around us. The Bible tells us that our enemy is real, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. Today, Pastor Ken will remind you of the truth that changes everything: the outcome has already been decided. Through the cross and the resurrection, Jesus has defeated the powers of darkness once and for all. You don't fight for victory, you fight from a place of victory.
Last week we began a 2-part series with Pastor Ken as he looks back on the years of life and ministry. Come along with Pastor Ken as he delivers some "Milestone Musings."
Pastor Ken teaches topically from Matthew 10.
Pastor Ken preaches on Romans 7:1-6.
In this sermon, Pastor Ken emphasizes the active presence and role of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers, urging them to recognize and respond to His guidance. Drawing from the book of Acts, the message highlights how the Holy Spirit empowers Christians to share the Gospel, often leading to revival despite persecution. We're challenged to awaken from spiritual complacency and embrace their calling to testify to God's grace, inspired by Paul's example of dedication and courage. The sermon concludes with an encouragement to rely on the Holy Spirit for power, love, and self-discipline in spreading the message of hope. It's tempting to camp out in the familiar parts of Scripture, reading about Jesus in the Gospels, and maybe dipping into Genesis and Exodus. But when we skip the rest, we miss the beauty of God's story unfolding over centuries. Today, Pastor Ken will show you how the prophecy of Amos fulfilled prophecy from Genesis. The prophets, the psalms, the histories—all of it points forward to Jesus and shows how God keeps His promises, often hundreds of years after they were spoken.
Pastor Ken continues through the book of Acts in chapter 11
In a world obsessed with power, influence, and control, it's easy for the Church to get swept up in the idea of taking dominion and shaping the world to fit our vision. But Jesus didn't commission us to seize thrones or legislate kingdoms. He called us to something far deeper: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Today, Pastor Ken will explain that your mission isn't to rule the world, but to reach it—with the gospel, with love, and with truth. You are called to conquer hearts, not conquer territories.
Some people treat God like a private well—something they own, control, and draw from whenever they need refreshment. But God doesn't belong to us as a possession; we belong to Him as His creation, His children, His redeemed people. When we flip that perspective, everything changes—our priorities, our obedience, and our worship. Pastor Ken will explore with you today how surrendering to God's rightful ownership frees you to live fully for Him, and that's the best place you could ever be.
In the last several weeks, our nation has seen tragedies that have shaken us to the core. Pastor Ken offered the FBC family these words to begin his sermon this past Sunday and we're including them here as a way to express pastoral care for our listeners.
What if God's main purpose wasn't to make us comfortable, but to make us holy? Many approach Him like a personal assistant, expecting Him to meet every need, fulfill every dream, and keep life running smoothly. Today, Pastor Ken will show you how Scripture turns that thinking upside down. You were created for His glory, not the other way around. Your deepest purpose isn't to get everything you want, but to please the One who made you. How can you live in a way that delights God's heart and honors His name?
Some Christians tend to treat the Bible like a buffet. They pick the verses they like and leave the ones that challenge them, but this is a dangerous way to approach God's Word. Scripture isn't a menu we customize; it's the full, nourishing meal the Chef has prepared for our souls. Pastor Ken will warn you today not to twist the Bible's meaning to fit your desires or push aside truths that make you uncomfortable. If you do, you'll be in danger of starving yourself of the life-giving wisdom and correction you need.
We normally move verse-by-verse through books of the Bible but sometimes, when we're in between such studies, we'll take the time to address some topic or topics biblically. Today, we'll join Pastor Ken for some "Milestone Musings."
Having everything we want can feel like the ultimate blessing, but it can also be a quiet danger. When every desire is met, we start to believe we can sustain ourselves, forgetting the One who gives every good gift. Self-sufficiency can sneak in, replacing dependence on God with trust in our own strength. This is a real problem. Today, Pastor Ken will share with you about how abundance can sometimes dull your need for God, and why true life is found only when you remain fully dependent on Him.
Pastor Ken teaches through 2 Corinthians 5:1-8
As we conclude our series in the book of Joel today, Pastor Ken will remind us of the overall picture this book paints. It gives us a glimpse of what's to come when God carries out His plan of redemption. Because of mankind's rebellion against Him, led by the deception of Satan, there must first be a judgment. In that event, God will bring justice to the earth in a way our hearts long for, but the wicked dread. Once sin has been removed completely, we can experience existence as He intended it to be.

Salvation is for everyone. This presented an obstacle for many of the Jews who were confronted by the early Church. They understood God and their faith to be only for the Jews. But as Pastor Ken continues our study in the book of Joel today, we'll be reminded that Jesus came so that all men, no matter their race, ethnicity, nationality, or religious background, could have the opportunity to come and be saved and enter into a restored relationship with God.

Welcome to the Sunday Morning Worship Service of New Covenant Christian Ministries with Pastor Bill and Dr. D'Ann Johnson. Our mission is “Transforming all people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.” In today's sermon, Pastor Ken shares on the power of one right decision.
We tend to take our access to the Holy Spirit for granted, but as we'll be reminded in today's message from Pastor Ken, the Holy Spirit has not always dwelt with God's Children in the same way He does now. Because of Jesus' death on the cross, providing atonement for our souls, we can be made clean and become a welcome place for His Spirit to reside. Every believer has this amazing privilege – it's not just for a select few – and yet we often ignore His presence and guiding voice in our hearts.

The quintessential Thanksgiving decor piece is the Cornucopia, better known as the Horn of Plenty. If you're unfamiliar, it's the basket shaped like a bugle chip, with fruit and veggies pouring out of it. It is a symbol of abundance, originating from the days of ancient Greece. God is no stranger to providing above and beyond, and Pastor Ken speaks today on the abundance and blessing that God is planning to pour out upon His people. God desires to bless in abundance – are you prepared to receive it?
Pastor Ken finishes Acts 9 and reads through Acts 10:1-8
Thinking about World War I and the millions who perished during that massive conflict is a horrible thing to think about. The lives lost, the blood that was shed, and the resources destroyed throughout were a travesty, a testament to the craven depravity of war. While war may never change, we can trust that God will always provide for His people. In today's message, Pastor Ken takes us through some of the possibilities surrounding future conflicts that will occur and how God will protect His people.
