Another year down, another one facing you. You may not like the person you are and you may be concerned about the person you may become. But what if becoming the person you want to be starts well before the moment you make a decision? Before you eat that, or before you yell at them, before you make that move, take that job, or react that way. The decisions to say I Have Pre-Decided... can help you live the life you really want if we look ahead and live by God's ways.

Names are so important. We spend so much time time picking the “perfect” name for children, pets, cars, etc. What's in a name? Just about everything. When we learn someone's name or even have nicknames it conveys that we learn who they really are, not just who we imagine them to be. The Christian life is not just about knowing about God but knowing Him - who He really is. In our series, Hello, My Name is God, we are going to take 7 weeks looking at just a few of the names of God, in order to know Him as He truly is through knowing His names.

In times of uncertainty, it's easy for fear to spread; yet, it is all the more important than ever to trust who God is. When we see, understand and truly know Him, NOT about Him, we can embrace God's promises that we can live a “No Fear” life
In this series we'll look several of the “BIG DOGS” in the Bible, and how they lived in amazing ways, did incredible things for God. What if, in our life's race, we could do on lap around the track with one of these BIG DOGS of faith and what would they say to us that could keep us going.

We focus on it being a genre of a playlist, a type of song, a style of worship (contemporary and traditional). Jesus said that a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth. If that is what God desires, what does it mean to be a true worshiper?

In looking at the many things that Jesus is, he was an amazing teacher and people came from all over to hear Him speak. Jesus was not one who had a goal to make you “feel good.” No, he constantly challenged the status quo and confronted the power structures of his time. This was not only for those in his day, Jesus also challenges us today with teachings that seem to be opposite of the world we live in. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, Blessed are those who mourn…, Blessed are those who are persecuted.” They really don't seem to even make sense in our culture. In this series we will look at one of His most famous teachings in all of history and Jesus' longest recorded sermon: the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount. Over the next several week we will focus on the Beatitudes talk about what it's like to live “Right-side Up in an Upside Down.”

In three years, Jesus accomplished so much in such a short time; yet, he spent so much of it in prayer. Could it be that Jesus thinks about prayer differently than we do? Could it be that he places a higher priority in prayer than we do? The Disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. For many, it's hard to pray. It's not easy. Sometimes you may feel foolish — there you are hands folded, eyes closed, even on your knees, and who are you even talking to? We don't really know what we should pray for. We don't know how to pray. We need Jesus Christ to teach us about prayer. The Lord invites us to pray . . . and even tells us how to do it! The Lord's Prayer is Jesus' way of helping us with an intimate pattern of prayer for a lifetime in relationship with God and it was never meant to be a “special recited prayer.” In the message series, Living on the Prayer, we will journey through the Lord's Prayer along with church-wide small groups (the Prayer Course) we will learn to grow and deepen in our prayer lives.

So often, do you ever feel like you need a fresh start. You realize what you have been doing, really isn't working. Like always, you could continue to do what you've always done and choose what you want now over what you really desire. As Jesus followers, what you must come to realize is there is something better waiting for you than what you usually settle for in life. However, when you stay focused on who God says you are and what He wants for your life without being distracted by the other things, that's when we move toward and eventually come to the True Reward.

As Jesus followers, what you must come to realize is there is something better waiting for you than what you usually settle for in life. However, when you stay focused on who God says you are and what He wants for your life without being distracted by the other things, that's when we move toward and eventually come to the True Reward.
2021 is down; 2022 is getting started. Dare we begin to say, “Well, it's gotta be better than next year.” New year after new year, so many of us try to we make resolutions, set milestones and goals. However, these are far too focused on ourselves, about losing weight, going back to school, getting a new job, saving money, and many more. As we look at this new year we rarely think of actions & practices that benefit others but exist in inherently self-centered practices. When we look at the life that the Lord has for us, we have to embrace seeking the good of others, even if at the expense of own comfort, no matter how difficult and uncomfortable it may be. But when you deny yourself, God can do so much more when you are Selfless.
