What led the Holy Prophet Elijah to wish for death? How did God respond to his request? You may have reached the end of your strength in life and like the prophet your enemies may be pursuing you. There is help in God always. When we bring our stories, fears, hurts, and frustrations to God, we receive divine help and food for the journey. There is help always for those who do not turn in on themselves, but rather turn to God in all things.
In this heartfelt devotion, we reflect on God's blessings and the importance of seeking His plan for our lives. Drawing inspiration from the hymn 'Take My Life and Let It Be,' and the transformative journey of the Apostle Paul in Acts 9, we are reminded to ask God, 'What will You have me to do?' Through scripture passages, including Ephesians 2:10 and Psalms, we explore how our steps are ordered by the Lord and the joy and occasional sorrow that accompany fulfilling His will. Join us as we pray for clarity, purpose, and the willingness to follow His path. God bless you.

This evening on Africa at A Glance we talk about a new investigation by BBC Africa Eye, for BBC World Service, that has uncovered cases of elderly people being murdered and attacked after being falsely accused of witchcraft along Kenya's Kilifi coast. Violent attacks on supposed witches occur across paths of Africa and beyond, but the estimated 70 deaths reported here every year are about much more than fear of the supernatural. Meeting victims, relatives and even perpetrators, #BBCAfricaEye investigates the real motives fuelling these brutal incidents and the impunity that often enables them, revealing that many elderly victims are targeted not by strangers, but the very people who should be protecting them - their own families. Joining us for this discussion is Julius Wanyama, who works at human rights organisation called Haki Yetu. Julius is featured in the film and his organisation published an extensive report on witchcraft accusations of the elderly in Kenya, and Nicola ‘Nicky' Milne, is the Executive Producer and Director of this film. The film is produced by ‘BBC World Service / BBC Africa Eye: and it's called ‘Cry Witch: Take My Land, Take My Life'.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In a coastal region of eastern Kenya at least one elderly person is being killed every week – in the name of witchcraft. There are violent attacks on people accused of being witches across much of Africa. But, according to human rights groups, the seventy or so murders every year in Kilifi County are about more than fear of the supernatural. For Assignment, Njeri Nwangi from BBC Africa Eye investigates the real motives behind these brutal attacks and the impunity that enables them. She meets victims, relatives and perpetrators. Listeners might find some of the details in this programme upsetting. Archive: ‘Witches' Burnt in Kenya, NTD News

And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. #alwaysaway #slulead #strackcenter #takemylife Concorde travelled at twice the speed of sound-some would say that Graham Lacey did the same. Graham relentlessly pushed the limits, until he went too far...and he got a phone call which changed his life forever. In his new book, Take My Life, Graham Lacey shares his very personal story of how God saved him from himself and gave him peace of mind-a peace that is available to us all. Having read the manuscript, his life-long friend Dr. R.T. Kendall remarked, "I could not put this book down and I don't think you will want to either." Born in England in 1948, he commenced business on his own account at age fifteen. He has served on the boards of twenty seven publicly listed companies in five countries. Dr. Lacey has now dedicated himself to activities that have eternal spiritual dimension. Dr. Lacey was the executive producer of the award-winning “A Worldwide Christmas Celebration” and is the executive producer of “The Millennium Chorus”. He produced a television special on Mother Theresa. He also compiled the book entitled, My Favorite Hymn. A confidant of many leading evangelist and lay preacher alike, he has been and active enabler for the cause of Christ in numerous countries around the world. Lacey holds an honorary Doctorate in International Law, which was conferred on him in 1986. Dr. Lacey is married to Susan, and they have two sons – Luke and James. They reside in the Isle of Man in the British Isles. “In my lifetime, I have met leaders from every area: politics, military, religion, sports, business, and the arts. Graham Lacey is the giant essential leader. No one individual has made the impact on my life and vision as has my dear friend Graham Lacey. I have learned more from him than any other man. He has done more than anyone else to make SLU 301, London a reality.” — Dr. Jay Strack

To call Stephen Fry a national treasure would be underselling him. One of the hardest working names in British media, you name it and Stephen has done it; writer, actor, director and comedian. The size of his contribution to British culture in over four decades as a public figure is staggering. However, behind this mountain of work and out of the spotlight is a side of Stephen Fry that many people will be completely unaware of, from a childhood of crime and loneliness, to severe mental health struggles and attempts at suicide. In this honest and revealing conversation Stephen discusses the scars he carries within him and which affect him to this day. But despite this he is constantly reinventing himself and striving to find joy in the smaller things in life, all the while spreading happiness and wonder with his work.
