Is meekness weakness? In this message, we explore what Jesus really meant when He said the meek will inherit the earth. Meekness isn't weakness—it's strength surrendered to God, power under control, and a life shaped by humility, service, and trust in Christ. Part 3 of "The Upside Down Kingdom"
A Christian's meekness comes not from a certain disposition but from the Holy Spirit — the same Spirit who sometimes moves us to rebuke.

Twilight Zone (Stacey Keach) || (05) The Night of the Meek | 2002Series release: October 2002 – 2012On Christmas Eve, Corwin arrives for his seasonal job as a department-store Santa an hour late and obviously drunk. When customers complain, Dundee, the manager, fires him and orders him off the premises. Corwin says that he drinks because he lives in a rooming house with the poor, for whom he is incapable of fulfilling his role as Santa. He declares that if he had just one wish granted him on Christmas Eve, he'd "like to see the meek inherit the earth.": : : : :You can donate to show your support for my podcast and the time I put into creating and posting every week. “When I go to the grocery store, that's part of the songwriting process. When I work on my truck, that's part of my songwriting process. Every aspect of our life feeds into our creativity. The more present I can be, the better the songs,” says Buck Meek. Meek, the guitarist in Big Thief, is the first songwriter to discuss how “fluid dynamics” impact his songwriting. The ocean—with its waves, shifting sand, temperature fluctuation, and changing tides—inspires him because these shifting elements mirror his creative process. And when Meek towels off, getting started is usually easy because he doesn't believe in writer's block, calling it "a privileged idea that comes from a pursuit of excellence or even perfection. I start my process with as little preciousness as possible by allowing myself to be trite, silly, childish, or playful, for example. I'm much more likely to experiment when I start in these states.” Buck Meek's latest album is The Mirror. Here's the link to my 2017 transcribed interview with Big Thief's Adrianne Lenker.

The Anti Whiteness, Anti Christian, Pro Zionism argument is laid out. Whichever side you align with is quickly becoming the most important value of your life.Israel First, not America First, seems to be the direction that all the money and powerful elites as well as Politicians and Celebrities are going. To be a White Straight Christian Conservative Man is now considered to be an insult and lowest source of humanity War is supposedly imminent, all in the name of Israel and the Jewish Zionist Elitism. Nothing good will come out of it for the US, and we'll also get the pleasure of paying the bill for it with taxpayer money. Fuck This ShitUntil Next Time…

We're 29 days out from Round 1… and that means one thing for Essendon fans: Selection season has officially begun. On this special episode of Don The Stat, Jono and Ian are joined by former Essendon premiership architect and two-time senior AFL coach Robert Shaw, who steps into the role of Chairman of Selectors. The task? Pick the Essendon side best placed to take on Hawthorn in Round 1. This isn't a “Best 23” debate. It's about matchups. Structure. Game style. And how the Bombers should approach a Hawks side missing key midfield pieces. We cover:
Jesus' words, "Blessed are the meek," are a counter voice to the growing number of angry alpha pseudo-religious. They are an invitation... They are a challenge... They are healing...“We may say as a general rule for life that it is never right to be angry for any insult or injury done to ourselves – that is something that no Christian must ever resent – but that it is often right to be angry at injuries done to other people. Selfish anger is always a sin; selfless anger can be one of the great moral dynamics of the world.” William Barclay

This video reflects on the readings for the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, focusing on the virtues of humility and meekness (0:00).Humility as a foundational virtue (0:39):It counteracts pride, which is seen as the root of all sin.Growing in humility helps individuals grow in other virtues, such as patience.Patience involves bearing wrongs joyfully, without sorrow (1:05-1:20).Meekness as a quiet strength (1:20):It helps to temper anger and resentment, leading to a disposition of peace and calmness (1:30-2:10).Meekness is not weakness but "quiet strength," allowing a peaceful disposition even amidst turmoil (2:14-2:22).The speaker connects this to the idea of faith calming the storm, emphasizing trust in Jesus' presence (2:30-3:52).Two aspects of humility (3:55):Humility of the will: Bearing wrongs patiently and not letting humiliations stir the soul, which goes hand-in-hand with meekness to temper passions (3:58-5:21).Humility of the intellect: Being aware of one's weaknesses without self-condemnation, and instead trusting in God's mercy and depending on Him for strength (5:31-6:17).The video concludes by highlighting how sharing one's brokenness can glorify God, minister to others, and provide hope, emphasizing God's unchanging and infinite love (6:42-7:47). The speaker encourages viewers to invite Jesus to help them grow in meekness and humility to cultivate other virtues like patience and ultimately achieve union with God (7:51-8:20).

Notes Matthew 5:1-12 Micah 6:1-8 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Summary In this episode of the Pulpit Fiction Podcast, hosts Eric Fistler and Robb McCoy explore the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew, Micah 6's call for justice and humility, and the message of the cross in 1 Corinthians. They discuss the importance of community relationships in ministry, the depth of the Beatitudes, and the implications of Micah's message for contemporary faith practice. The conversation emphasizes the need for justice, mercy, and humility in the Christian life, while also addressing the foolishness of worldly wisdom in light of God's truth. Takeaways The Beatitudes highlight the values of the Kingdom of God. Building relationships with other Christian communities is essential for support during crises. Micah 6 emphasizes justice, mercy, and humility as core requirements from God. The message of the cross challenges worldly wisdom and power structures. Preachers should focus on the heart of the Beatitudes rather than just the text. Community support is vital for those mourning or in need. The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom. God chooses the lowly and foolish to confound the wise. The Beatitudes can be explored in depth, offering rich material for sermons. Understanding the context of scripture enhances its application in today's world.
