Jesus' words, "Blessed are the meek," are a counter voice to the growing number of angry alpha pseudo-religious. They are an invitation... They are a challenge... They are healing...“We may say as a general rule for life that it is never right to be angry for any insult or injury done to ourselves – that is something that no Christian must ever resent – but that it is often right to be angry at injuries done to other people.  Selfish anger is always a sin; selfless anger can be one of the great moral dynamics of the world.” William Barclay

In this teaching, we explore what Jesus really meant when he said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Rather than describing personality traits like being quiet or gentle, Jesus is pointing to a specific group in the biblical story—the aniy—the poor, powerless, and overlooked who refused both violent revolt and cultural assimilation, choosing instead to wait on God for justice and restoration. This message challenges us to stop reshaping Jesus into a guide for achieving our version of the good life, and instead invites us to see, listen to, and serve those on the margins, while learning from their posture of dependence, hope, and faithful waiting. Ultimately, the Beatitude points us to Jesus himself, who embodied this way of life and invites us into a kingdom built not through power or comfort, but through trust, sacrifice, and renewal. What if the most significant UFO event in American history didn't happen at Roswell, but at a massive granite boulder in California? Chad Meek joins the show to discuss the legacy of Giant Rock, a site known for intense Extraterrestrial Contact. For years, thousands of people gathered here to hear the messages of the Space Brothers, yet today, the mainstream media treats it as a mere desert oddity. Why the silence? Chad argues that the Government has spent decades scrubbing the "Contactee" era from our collective memory because it suggests a benevolent Alien Encounter rather than a threat-based narrative. As a direct descendant of the George Van Tassel legacy, Chad provides an insider's view of what really happened during those midnight meetings at the rock. We explore the UFO Disclosure files that remain classified and the physical evidence of Interdimensional activity in the area. Chad describes his own journey as an Alien Abductee and how his family was "tagged" for observation by non-human intelligences. Is there a genetic component to being an Experiencer? This episode challenges the current UAP narrative being pushed by the Pentagon, suggesting that the true nature of Aliens is far more spiritual and transformative than we are led to believe. From the underground rooms of Giant Rock to the high-tech sensors of modern UFO research, we bridge the gap between old-school contact and new-age disclosure. Prepare to enter the portal with Chad Meek and discover why the Mojave Desert remains a hotbed for Extraterrestrial activity.✨ Download Our FREE Throne Room Meditation✨ ➡️ https://www.truthseekah.com ➡️Join our online community at https://www.truthseekah.com ➡️ Support on Patreon! https://patreon.com/join/truthseekah✅ Get access to 40+ video lessons + Weekly LIVE calls!✅ Worldwide Online Community!✅ Courses, Monthly Webinars, Prayer, Meditation, Discussion✅ TruthSeekah's Meditation Library

This video reflects on the readings for the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, focusing on the virtues of humility and meekness (0:00).Humility as a foundational virtue (0:39):It counteracts pride, which is seen as the root of all sin.Growing in humility helps individuals grow in other virtues, such as patience.Patience involves bearing wrongs joyfully, without sorrow (1:05-1:20).Meekness as a quiet strength (1:20):It helps to temper anger and resentment, leading to a disposition of peace and calmness (1:30-2:10).Meekness is not weakness but "quiet strength," allowing a peaceful disposition even amidst turmoil (2:14-2:22).The speaker connects this to the idea of faith calming the storm, emphasizing trust in Jesus' presence (2:30-3:52).Two aspects of humility (3:55):Humility of the will: Bearing wrongs patiently and not letting humiliations stir the soul, which goes hand-in-hand with meekness to temper passions (3:58-5:21).Humility of the intellect: Being aware of one's weaknesses without self-condemnation, and instead trusting in God's mercy and depending on Him for strength (5:31-6:17).The video concludes by highlighting how sharing one's brokenness can glorify God, minister to others, and provide hope, emphasizing God's unchanging and infinite love (6:42-7:47). The speaker encourages viewers to invite Jesus to help them grow in meekness and humility to cultivate other virtues like patience and ultimately achieve union with God (7:51-8:20).

Notes Matthew 5:1-12 Micah 6:1-8 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Summary In this episode of the Pulpit Fiction Podcast, hosts Eric Fistler and Robb McCoy explore the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew, Micah 6's call for justice and humility, and the message of the cross in 1 Corinthians. They discuss the importance of community relationships in ministry, the depth of the Beatitudes, and the implications of Micah's message for contemporary faith practice. The conversation emphasizes the need for justice, mercy, and humility in the Christian life, while also addressing the foolishness of worldly wisdom in light of God's truth. Takeaways The Beatitudes highlight the values of the Kingdom of God. Building relationships with other Christian communities is essential for support during crises. Micah 6 emphasizes justice, mercy, and humility as core requirements from God. The message of the cross challenges worldly wisdom and power structures. Preachers should focus on the heart of the Beatitudes rather than just the text. Community support is vital for those mourning or in need. The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom. God chooses the lowly and foolish to confound the wise. The Beatitudes can be explored in depth, offering rich material for sermons. Understanding the context of scripture enhances its application in today's world. Send us a text In this episode of BuddyWalk with Jesus, we slow down over Matthew 5:5: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” In a tribalized world shaped by algorithms, outrage, and echo chambers, Jesus calls His disciples into a strength that doesn't need to dominate. We unpack what “meek” (praeis) really means—gentleness with backbone, power under control—and why Jesus links it to the promise of inheritance rather than conquest. You'll hear how this Beatitude echoes Psalm 37, why meekness is a form of resistance against online manipulation, and what it looks like to live with conviction without contempt. We'll end with simple practices to help you train meekness in your speech, your reactions, and your digital life. Support the show If you have any questions about the subjects covered in today's episode you can find us on Facebook at the links below or you can shoot me an email at joe@buddywalkwithjesus.com One Stop Shop for all the links Linktr.ee/happydeamedia

This weekend in our Beatitudes series, we'll lean into Jesus' promise in Matthew 5:5: “Blessed are the meek…” Meekness isn't weakness—it's strength under control, a life that chooses surrender over self-protection and God's purposes over personal power. Jesus shows us what it looks like to carry real authority with real humility, serving others instead of demanding our own way. Come discover how meekness reshapes everyday life—how we can serve instead of striving, release the need for recognition or control, and trust God to fight the […] The post Meek appeared first on Pine Lake Covenant Church.

Dean Karayanis — New York Sun columnist, host of the History Author Show, and former Rush Limbaugh staffer — brings the Yuletide cheer for Derek. A story in Politico alleging that the "How the far right stole Christmas" prompts a discussion of the birth of Jesus Christ being turned into a generic, secular holiday. Plus, what happened to the little girl who wrote letter that led to the most reprinted editorial in the English language, 1897's "Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus," in the New York Sun. The stories of "It's a Wonderful Life," "A Charlie Brown Christmas," and of Luxembourg's "American St. Nick" from a tradition begun by GI's in the middle of World War 2. Dean also notes that Christmas marked the 101st birthday of Rod Serling, who's enduring gift is The Twilight Zone's "Night of the Meek," starring Art Carney as a Skid Row Santa Claus.
