The scandal that continues to unfold at Penn State is unlike any other event in the history of sports. Josh and the crew give this ongoing saga some attention after hitting the requisite news of the day, joined by a former SID officer (Pierce) and alumnus of the school (Victor). Aaron Perlut chairs the American Mustache Institute with a velvet fist, having just presented 2011's Mustached American of the Year award...to a Canadian. He also runs Elasticity, a public relations shop making its way in the digital space. Aaron discusses the importance of facial hair in supporting men's causes, how advertisers still fear the digital space, and his thoughts on the latest Muppets movie. Gregg was in St. Louis waiting for the rain to stop and the World Series to resume, and found the time to talk about his Achilles heel regarding podcasting, why the media is rooting against Tim Tebow, and pro football's "Bad Guy, Non-Criminal Division". Ryan told us about his strategy for finishing the year on schedule, the reaction from his friends and family, and what he might have in store for 2012. Matt Miller has been following the NFL Draft for years, but like a lot of online writers, had trouble finding an audience. Today, he's one of the leading prospectors of the NFL draft, and a fellow lead writer of Zerkle's at Bleacher Report. Miller discussed his start in football scouting and who he's watching for the 2012 draft. And Miller deserves enormous credit for stepping into the dojo and playing "Draft Pick...or Registered Sex Offender?" against the HOUSE OF PUNTE crew. Vikings punter Chris Kluwe stopped in the dōjō last night; it was the first time we've had an NFL starter "live" for a podcast recording. Kluwe has been outspoken on recent NFL policies and the recent CBA negotiations, and we asked him about that and a few other things. We also spoke with HOUSE OF PUNTE legal analyst Matt DeTura, who discusses the NFL CBA and gives some great-if-a-bit-dated insight into the Roger Clemens mistrial and Casey Anthony verdict.
