Gio wonders what's worse, decaf coffee or non-alcoholic beer. We took a lot of calls from people who drink decaf and want to fight Gio about it. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders to improve to 2-0. Jim Harbaugh talked about it being a ‘blue collar game'. Aaron Glenn met the media and compared the season to Legos. He also said a season is not ‘instant coffee'. In the past Robert Saleh called the NFL an ‘instant coffee' world. The Yankees were shutout in Minnesota, 7-0. The Phillies clinched the NL East. The Moment of The Day: Adam Schein on the Chicago Bears: Amateur hour. In the final segment of the show, we talked about the upcoming final games of the regular season for the Mets. 8-4 in the last 12 will guarantee them a spot. Gio thinks they will go 6-6 and still make it.
It should piss the Mets off that they were leading the division earlier in the year and last night the Phillies were celebrating the NL East title yet again. I guess it's possible for the Mets to catch fire the rest of the season and into the playoffs. A caller thinks Brian Daboll's approach to the media will get him fired. We also talked about the resurgence of Daniel Jones in Indianapolis. Gio wonders how Boomer thinks Carson Wentz will play this week for the Vikings. Jim Irsay's daughter has been on the sidelines with a headset on and a clipboard. Gio wonders what's on her clipboard. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders. Pete Carroll was asked about Tom Brady's involvement with the Raiders coaches. The Bucs came back to beat the Texans in the final seconds of the game. Todd Bowles talked about the Bucs run game. Aaron Glenn met the media and talked about the ‘outside noise' and said this isn't ‘instant coffee' and that things take time. Adam Schein talked about how bad the Bears are, considering he thought they would be good this year. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer did change out the coffee in the back and then he told us Robert Redford and Eddie Giacomin passed away.
Gio has no idea what to expect from the Mets the rest of the season. The good news is they're still in a playoff position. A woman calls in to see if Boomer is going to the Bengals Ring of Honor game, as she has tickets. Boomer said he thinks he is going. Jerry returns for an update, but first we got to watch some of the footage from Skratch from our match at Pebble Beach. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders as Geno Smith was picked 3 times. Jim Harbaugh talked about having ‘multiple guys open' on every down. The Bucs came back to beat the Texans. Aaron Glenn met the media after watching the tape and talked about the loss to Buffalo. Brian Daboll was asked about the soft defensive coverage that let Dallas score to tie the game with seconds to play. JJ McCarthy is out this week and it could be 2-4 weeks. The Yankees were shutout in Minnesota, 7-0. The Phillies clinched the N.L. East. In the final segment of the hour, the Dolphins are a 12 point underdog against the Bills and it's only week 3. If they get whooped in Buffalo, Gio thinks they could fire Mike McDaniel. We talked more about Tom Brady being in the Raider's coach's booth last night. He's doing the Bears/Cowboys game this week and then the Bears play the Raiders. Boomer said Ben Johnson shouldn't talk to him.
We started with love for Baker Mayfield and the disbelief of what the Browns did when they got rid of him for Deshaun Watson. Boomer loves him some Tom Brady, but him sitting up in the Raider's coach's booth with headsets on is ‘B.S.' Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders. We heard from Jim Harbaugh after the game. The Bucs beat the Texans in the early game. Aaron Glenn talked to the media and compared the Jets to building Legos. Brian Daboll talked about having to be better all around. The Yankees were shutout in Minnesota, 7-0. The Mets host the Padres tonight. In the final segment this hour, we talked about the injury to Joe Burrow and rumored quarterbacks for them.

In this episode Fireman Ed shares his thoughts on the Jets season so far and reacts to the team's embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The best reactions to the Jets' 30-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills from Boomer & Gio, Brandon Tierney & Sal Licata, and Evan & Tiki.
Sal and Brendan Tierney, in their "Bald Faced Lie, Bald Faced Truth" segment, debated the Mets' chances of making the playoffs. The discussion, sparked by a fan's statement that the Mets will make the playoffs while the Yankees will win the division, turned into a fiery argument. Sal expressed his doubts, calling the Mets' recent walk-off win a fluke and questioning if they've truly turned a corner, pointing to their history of collapses. Brendan, on the other hand, believes the Mets will get in, citing the weakness of the teams chasing them. The two hosts argued over the Mets' final twelve games, with Sal's co-host predicting a poor finish and the Mets missing the playoffs, while Sal was more optimistic but still cautious about their chances.
In a fiery segment, BT and Sal bring on NFL analyst Brian Baldinger to break down the disastrous Week 2 losses for both the Giants and Jets. Baldinger doesn't hold back, criticizing the Giants for their inability to run the football and the defense's shockingly soft coverage in a key moment. He also rips into the Jets for their penalties and the abysmal tackling by their secondary, arguing that both teams are plagued by a lack of accountability and foundational issues. The conversation is a brutal but honest assessment of New York's two struggling teams, as Baldy highlights the fundamental problems holding them back from being contenders.
This "Call of the Day" features a fiery segment with NFL analyst Brian Baldinger, as he breaks down the New York Giants' recent performance. Baldinger praises the play of Giants' rookie left tackle Marcus Bow, who he says "pitched a shutout" and reminds him of an elite player like Dion Dawkins. This glowing review of Bow's performance is a counterpoint to the Giants' overall struggles. The segment highlights the disconnect between a few standout individual performances and the team's frustrating results, a theme that runs through the show as BT and Sal and their callers lament the state of both the Giants and the Jets.

A unique and unparalleled look into the nature and relationship of two of the pillars of the NFL's greatest dynasty, the 2001-2018 New England PatriotsThere can be doubt, the greatest dynasty in NFL history stood on two pillars: Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. That is indisputable. Together they forged a working relationship that provided thrilling results that would change the game forever and provide a two-decade-long winning culture not likely to ever be repeated. In those twenty years they helped New England to nine Super Bowls, winning six. But who is/was most responsible? The greatest coach/GM in NFL history? The greatest quarterback (perhaps, greatest player regardless of position) in NFL history? New York Times bestselling author Gary Myers takes the deepest dive yet into a debate that rages to this day in his new book, BRADY vs. BELICHICK: The Dynasty Debate (St. Martin's Press, On Sale September 16, 2025, $31.00).What was the nature of their amazing relationship? Mentor and mentee? Superstar and mad scientist? Phenom and master tactician? Or were they equals? In this fascinating book, veteran NFL insider Gary Myers will draw on the incredible access he has to both subjects as well as scores of players, coaches and management officials. Myers has new interviews with Belichick, Devon McCourty, Rodney Harrison, Julian Edelman, Joe Montana, Tom Brady Sr., and scores more. There is also new material from coaching greats Bill Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, Tony Dungy, and former Pats assistant coaches Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel, and executives like Ernie Accorsi and Bill Polian. One of the more revealing and compelling chapters in the book is about New York Jets linebacker Mo Lewis, whose sideline hit on then star New England quarterback Drew Bledsoe in 2001 elevated Tom Brady to starting quarterback.and the rest is history. To this day, many fans and haters of New England's success blame Lewis' hit on starting the Patriots dynasty, and Lewis, in the book, doesn't hide his bitter feelings about being tagged with that.In BRADY vs. BELICHICK, Myers goes well into the numbers, analyzing the psychology and sociology of this partnership using his unique perspective to illuminate the greatest duo that ever graced the sport. And who is the most responsible? There is a surprise ending as the reader will discover.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Chris, Beau and Nate react to the NFL's week 2 slate and the action around the league. The Philadelphia Eagles knock off Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead. Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley weren't perfect but didn't need to be as the Eagles defense stood tall and delivered Mahomes his 3 straight loss dating back to last season. Joe Burrow went down against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will be out for a couple months with a turf toe injury so the Bengals will turn to Jake Browning. The Detroit Lions are back with a dominant win over Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams. The New England Patriots got Mike Vrabel his first victory as Patriots HC, the Cowboys beat the Giants in a shootout, the Colts are a damn good football team and the Seahawks jumped Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers to get back to .500. Were the Jets actually one play away from a different game Sunday?
Instant Coffee is a term used too much by Jets coaches
Joe Beningo joins us after the horrific loss to the Bills
The first number of Jets lottery hit last week, the 2nd number this week wasn't even close with Justin Fields.
A caller said Tony Romo did a great job of calling out the Jets defense during the broadcast. A Cowboys fan calls in to call the Giants the ‘g-strings'. Boomer told him his defense stinks, so stop crowing. A caller wonders how it feels to have to talk Giants and Jets every day.
Hour 1 Here we are again, 2 weeks into the NFL season and the Giants and Jets are both 0-2. The Giants played prevent defense which didn't make any sense with the Cowboys having one of the best kickers in the league. Cowboys fans should be concerned that they gave up all that offense to a Giants team that normally can't seem to score. Gio wonders why they put Jaxson Dart in for a few plays when Russell Wilson was having a career game. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and we heard the TD from Wilson to Nabers with :25 seconds to play. We also heard the call of the Cowboys game winning FG. We then heard the sounds of the Jets losing to the Bills as they couldn't stop James Cook. We heard Joe Burrow go down with a serious turf toe injury. Aaron Judge homered again, but the Yankees lost to the Red Sox. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer has a stat-pack stat regarding Daniel Jones and the Colts. Gio thought the Browns and Bears would cover this weekend and both got blown out. Hour 2 Gio called the Jets performance, ‘embarrassing'. So much for Aaron Glenn and the accountability. Yesterday we watched the Justin Fields that struggled in Chicago and got benched in Pittsburgh. This was probably his worst game in the NFL. We talked about Aaron Glenn as a rookie head coach. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Russell Wilson interception in overtime. Brian Daboll sounded disappointed after the game. Aaron Glenn had a message to the team after the loss. The Colts beat the Broncos on a FG after a penalty on the previous FG that was no good. The Mets finally won a game as we heard Pete Alonso's 3-run HR in the bottom of the tenth. In the final segment of the hour, there may be an LIRR strike during the Ryder Cup. James Hudson of the Giants was flagged on four plays in one drive to start the game. Boomer said there were a lot of great throws and catches for the Giants yesterday. Hour 3 JJ McCarthy struggled last night but Boomer loved the performance by Bijan Robinson of the Falcons. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the game winning kick as the Cowboys beat the Giants in OT. The Giants had over 500 yards of offense. Brian Daboll said they have to move on to next week. Malik Nabers talked about all the penalties they had. We heard Nantz & Romo on the call as the Jets lost to the Bills. Aaron Glenn talked about beating themselves. We got breaking news that Joe Burrow will need toe surgery. The Lions blew out the Bears and Ben Johnson. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is going to see Dua Lipa on Thursday at MSG. Hour 4 Yesterday was one of the more entertaining Giants games in a long time. Justin Fields is in concussion protocol and it looks like Tyrod Taylor is going to start this week for the Jets. Gio is taking an early look at the spreads for this week's games. Joe Burrow is getting surgery so Jake Browning will be their QB and we remembered his girlfriend wearing a skintight dress at a game once. Maybe the Bengals will want to trade for Jameis Winston. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Gio tells us his wife was bit by a spider. We heard post game sound from the Giants players after their OT loss to the Cowboys. Aaron Glenn talked about the Jets loss. Donald Trump doesn't like the new NFL kickoffs and called it ‘sissy football'. Ben Johnson was asked about the Lions running up the score on the Bears. The Moment of The Day: Gio's Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco impression. In the final segment of the day, we have two Monday night games tonight.
