Here's a short, odd...uh, thingie I recorded with my recent guitars. Not sure yet if I want to develop this one further or just leave it as a songlet. Download Song
Here's a new little songlet that came about from messing around with various world instruments. Yes, I know it's repetitive, but hey it's only a songlet. :PSilly Song 2
And now for something completely different. Ok, I really didn't set out to write something like this tonight. It started innocently enough. I just wanted to go through sampling Logic's various software instruments. So I slapped in an ascending/descending A harmonic minor scale (I do love me some harmonic minor), set it to loop, and went around changing instruments for a while. Well, in the process of doing that, I ran across several texture/fx/noise instruments that sounded interesting. So this little songlet is made almost entirely of that simple loop copied and layered several times using different software instruments. And the sound at the very end is sheep baahing pitch shifted down an octave. There's definitely a reason I named it "Weird Song 1." Don't say I didn't warn you. :P But I kept it short. I figured ~1 minute would be the most anyone could stand of it. :PWeird Song 1 in A Minor
Download SongJust a silly little song that came about from messing around on the keyboard with Logic's instrument sampler template.
Download SongMore fun with iPad Garageband. This time with the built in loops for most everything. Except for the piano which is the smart piano on autoplay, and the drum kit which I tapped out myself
Download SongA little test song I put together in iPad Garageband this evening in a few hours. No premade loops were used. I used nothing other than GB's built in software instruments. Good fun for only $5.
Download SongA cover of my favorite Damageplan song, "New Found Power." RIP Dime.
Download SongCover of Megadeth's "Rust in Peace...Polaris."
Download SongA little songlet I did to practice drums along to.

Download SongWhat if every string on your guitar could be a different instrument?Ok, so I really wouldn't even call this a songlet. It's more of a test. One of the cool things about hexaphonic pickups and at least thisparticular guitar->midi interface is that it has the ability to sendstring data on different MIDI channels for each string. This means thatyou can split each string onto it's own track that has its owninstrument and other settings. So after a lot of mucking around, Ifinally figured out how to do this in Logic (it's neither obvious norautomatic). So here's the results of the little test I did. Note thatthese were not tracks recorded separately. This was all a couple of onepass recordings. No overdubbing, only some small post-recordingtouchups. Except for the drums. They're just a loop. And yes, I knowthe first part sounds a lot like Megadeth's Diadems.
Download SongAn songlet experiment with looops and musical typing in GarageBand.
