Welcome to All New All Different X Is For Comics: An X-Men Podcast! We've traveled through the X-Men in the 70s, 80s, and the greater Marvel Universe; made stops in DC, and even the Amalgam and crossover universes. And after all those stories, we're ready to return home to the place where it all started: the X-Men comics we love! We're going to jump back into regular coverage of classic X-Men stories, starting with the 1998 relaunch and moving into some of our all time favorite runs, like New X-Men by Morrison, X-Treme X-Men by Claremont, X-Statix by Milligan and Allred, and more. We're so excited to share this all with you, and to help you follow along, here's a rundown of our first few weeks: 12/10/25 - Uncanny X-Men 360-365, X-Men 80-84, X-Men Unlimited 21-22, X-Men & Doctor Doom Annual 1998 12/17/25 - Age Of Apocalypse Book 1: X-Men Chronicles 1-2, X-Man #-1 & Annual '96, Tales from The Age of Apocalypse: By the Light & Sinister Bloodlines 12/24/25 - Uncanny X-Men 366-371, X-Men 85-91, The Magneto War 1, Magneto Rex 1-3, X-Men Unlimited 23-24, X-Men Annual 1999 12/31/25 - Age Of Apocalypse Book 2: X-Men: Alpha, Age of Apocalypse: The Chosen, Generation Next 1, Astonishing X-Men 1, X-Calibre 1, Gambit and the X-Ternals 1-2, Weapon X 1-2, Amazing X-Men 1-2, Factor X 1-2, X-Man 1 01/07/26 - Uncanny X-Men 372-375, X-Men 92-95, Astonishing X-Men (v3) 1-3, Wolverine 145, X-Men Unlimited 25 01/14/26 - News, New Titles, Finales, Guests, & More! 01/21/26 - Uncanny X-Men 376-380, X-Men 96-99, Cable 75-77, X-Man 59, Wolverine 146-148, Uncanny X-Men Annual 1999 01/28/26 - Age Of Apocalypse Book 2: X-Calibre 2-3, Astonishing X-Men 2-4, Generation Next 2-3, X-Man 2-3, Factor X 3, Amazing X-Men 3, Weapon X 3, Gambit & the X-Ternals 3, X-Universe 1 It's all this and more on an all new era of X Is For Comics: An X-Men Podcast! Today's poem is Amalgam by Rebecca Foust. The Slowdown is your daily poetry ritual. In this episode, Maggie writes… “I have a hard time not using metaphors and analogies in everyday conversation. My kids sometimes tease me about it: “Look out, the poet has entered the chat!” my son recently laughed. Maybe it is a poet thing, but I think we all naturally use analogies and comparisons when we're trying to explain an experience. Even children do this, because the power of metaphor and analogy — of comparison — is that it helps people understand what you mean. It just clicks.” Celebrate the power of poems with a gift to The Slowdown today. Every donation makes a difference: https://tinyurl.com/rjm4synp

This episode was originally released under Raw Health Rebel and it's one of the most requested conversations I've ever had.So many of you have been messaging me asking, “Where's the episode about amalgam fillings and oral health?” Well, here it is. I'm joined by the brilliant Daniel Sutcliffe — a holistic and biological dentist based in London, whose special interest is safe amalgam removal. Daniel is not only highly skilled but deeply compassionate, with an approach that looks at the whole person, not just their teeth.Daniel was actually the dentist who removed my own amalgams - I'd put it off for years out of fear and yet he removed four fillings in less than an hour. It was painless, effortless and life-changing and my only regret was waiting so long.In this episode we cover the hot topics so many of you ask about:Amalgam fillings and the SMART removal techniqueHow oral health connects with the brain, gut and heartThe oral microbiome and why it matters as much as gut healthFluoride, hydroxyapatite and how to choose the right toothpasteMouth taping, airway health, and why nose breathing is vitalRoot canals, implants, stress-grinding, xylitol and moreThis isn't just about fillings — it's about how your mouth is a gateway to whole-body health, and why looking after it can transform your wellbeing in ways you might not expect.Key Takeaways:Why Daniel refuses to use amalgam and the precautions he takes when removing itThe truth about fluoride, hydroxyapatite and biocompatible alternativesHow gum disease is linked with heart disease, diabetes and even dementiaThe role of the oral microbiome and why we should nourish, not disinfect itSimple daily practices to radically improve your oral healthIf you've ever wondered whether what's in your mouth could be affecting your health, this conversation will give you answers, tools, and a lot of reassurance.Resources Mentioned:Daniel's practice: The Bespoke DentistHomeopathy remedies I used post-amalgam removal: Arnica, Phosphorus, Mercury, X-raySend us a textConnect with Lisa Strbac:
