Maybe you're a bit overwhelmed and struggling on a decision for your business, career or life. Let's get you off the struggle bus and on the road to a new path forward. When you need to create change, you first have to take a long hard look in the mirror and come to terms with your current reality. Is your business failing, are you unhappy in your career, are you overwhelmed by life and the day to day grind? All of that's ok, it happens, but let's figure out how to get you to a better place. Life is full of seasons, and whatever you are experiencing right now, remember…this too shall pass. But, let's get to work to figure out where you are now in your business, career, and life and set up a strategy to design your personal success story; living and loving a life that you can be proud of. If you want a better tomorrow, then stay tuned. Today we start at the beginning and figure out where you are to help you define a new way forward to Create your Ideal Advantage in your business, career, and life. I'm Danielle Moga, success coach, consultant, and business strategist helping high achievers, just like you reach your full potential and optimize your results. Not long ago, I was on the hamster wheel of life, and each day seemed like a rinse and repeat of the day before. After a few strong messages from the Universe, I decided to create a new life that allows me to help others and creates the flexibility to live the life I want. This podcast, Let's get Mogavated, is designed to give you simple, actionable strategies to help you do the same. If you're ambitious and want to be empowered with tips, tricks, and solutions to create your success story, then you, my friend, are in the right place. Let's create order out of chaos to move you toward the success you deserve. Let's get started! Hi There! And thank you for joining me today. Today we are going to talk about the first step in the Ideal Advantage framework: Identify Your Current Reality Understanding and owning your current reality sets high achievers apart from the competition because awareness breeds change. When you understand where you are and that the current reality is not serving you, it opens the opportunity for transformation. Clarity is the first step of clearing the path for a new foundation in the architecture and design of your future. Gaining clarity will lift the weight off your shoulders, clear your mind, and ignite your energy. I just had the great opportunity to work with a company based out of Atlanta, and this framework helped to set the stage for the next chapter in their business. We had large post-it notes all over the wall, talking about everything from core values, innovative solutions, upcoming projects, and strategic plans to grow their business. Whether I'm working with an individual wanting to improve their life or career or a large business, the steps are all the same because you first have to understand your current state, where you want to go, then bridge the gap to get you there. Today I want to talk about a tool I use to help you get focused on the primary dimensions of your life because if you're out of whack (technical term) in your life, it's going to be very difficult to excel in other areas. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daniellemoga/message

Let's create order out of chaos to move you toward the success you deserve. Let's get started! Let me ask you something, have you ever been in a situation, maybe a meeting, a decision point, a conversation where you stopped and asked: "What's the ideal outcome?" "What does success look like?" Often, we go into something without knowing what we really want, but if you pause and think about what would be ideal, it will change your approach. It will allow you to be more strategic, more proactive, and less reactive in any situation. For example, have you ever been in a meeting without an agenda or a clearly defined reason for the meeting? I've been in plenty, and people just talk to talk, the minutes' tick by, and typically you walk away feeling frustrated with the wasted time. How about this situation: a tough conversation with a child, a spouse, an employee a boss? I've had plenty of challenging discussions, and I used to be filled with angst and nervous butterflies until I thought about how the conversation should go to get the desired results. When you begin with the end in mind and your definition for success, you improve your chances of getting what you want because you'll be empowered with the strategies you need to achieve your end goal. The ideal advantage is all about setting you up for success. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daniellemoga/message

Would you like some help? Book your call here. LinkedIn Instagram sba.gov https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/top-priorities/cares-act/assistance-for-small-businesses On top of all the other things you have going on in your life like figuring out how to work from home or work surrounded by your family, homeschool, keep your sanity…you name it… I'm sure that you've not had time to read the 883-page stimulus bill that was passed in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Still, it's a stimulus package that is intended to help us take care of our emergent financial needs and keep the economy moving long enough to get through this pandemic. The total amount of the package is $2 Trillion, and $350 billion of that stimulus package is earmarked for small businesses. You may be wondering how, out of the 883 pages, 'how do I know if this is going to benefit me, how do I get the money if it does, and what do I need to do now to get economic relief?" Again, a reminder, your situation is specific to you, so make sure you consult your financial professional and discuss the details. My goal is to educate you on the opportunities and possibilities available to you and your business with as much clarity as possible. This is valuable information that you can leverage to make an informed decision for you and your business. Business leaders and individuals are asking one question right now: How am I and my business going survive the economic upheaval generated by the COVID-19 crisis? The way to do that is to help the economy keep moving. Now if you’re a business owner the way to do that is to keep providing value to your customers. Now more than ever is the time to pivot, innovate, and leverage every ounce of your creativity to survive and thrive as a company. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daniellemoga/message

This is definitely a challenging time but I do feel it’s also a massive opportunity for us to examine our lives our current situations and look for ways that we can positively make changes to propel us forward to living a more authentic and fulfilling life. Like you, I often feel that my days blur into the next and that the day is not my own rather controlled by the myriad of responsibilities we have like our job, family, kids or other circumstances. None of those things are bad but when we feel out of control, like our life is not our own, that’s when frustration and hopelessness set in and we feel like we are living our life just going through the motions. There are different times in our lives when we feel this way. I know for me and many of my coaching client this is a common feeling when you’re at the midpoint of their career and the kids are at the age when they are demanding a lot of attention. Others feel this when they are being swallowed up by the pressures of a career or starting a business and they’ve lost their passion and focus. The problem is that most of us are overwhelmed, overworked, tired and just trying to get through the day with the little time we have. As a result, there is never enough focus to create the momentum and ultimately the change we need to architect the life we want and feel the energy that comes from living and working authentically. This is a loss of control and there are a few things you can do today to gain back control and start taking step to stop going through the motions and start living a life by your design. Number 1 - identify what has taken control away from you? And (2) what does control mean to you? The definition of control is the power to influence or direct people's behavior or the course of events. So, I’ll ask what is influencing your day, your actions and your behaviors? When you can identify the what you can either accept the why or begin to identify opportunities for change. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daniellemoga/message

Do You need a change, a pivot in your career? - Interview with Dina Schmid Etiquette and Public Speaking Coach

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 24, 2020 21:55

To learn more about your host, Danielle Moga, bit.ly/DANIELLEMOGA Dina Schmid is a certified etiquette consultant and public speaking coach who owns Queen City Etiquette. She works with students and adults so that they can present themselves with confidence in any situation. She has been spreading etiquette throughout Cincinnati for over two years, with appearances on local TV Shows, radio and in the newspaper. More recently, she has begun broadening her reach by offering public speaking and interview coaching over the internet. Her technical background as an engineer, combined with etiquette training provide a unique set of skills that have helped students gain confidence in their personal and professional lives. My story is how I have transformed from engineer, to SAHM, to etiquette instructor and public speaking coach who owns her own business (with a stop as a 43 year old intern along the way). It took me many years to get to where I am today, which is where I believe I belong. Dina began her career as a chemical engineer with Procter & Gamble over 25 years ago, but ended up a SAHM after she and her husband started pursing adoption of a third child. While it was a surprise to her college friends that she'd stopped working, in some ways it was a relief for Dina, as she had never really enjoyed engineering. She ended up homeschooling her children, leading Girl Scout troops for 10 years and teaching science programs in schools and a homeschool coop, which nurtured a love for teaching. When she stopped homeschooling her youngest 3.5 years ago, she decided it was time to re-enter the workforce. She initially looked at going back into engineering, but found herself in a strange limbo of being simultaneously over and under qualified for available jobs - that she wasn't even interested in! In an effort to build up a resume and add other skills, she became a 43 year old intern on a political campaign. Dina had always been good at helping people with resumes and interviewing, and when she added in her knowledge of how people learn she was successfully able to help the candidate prepare for a televised political debate. Around the same time, her sister and a friend in another state had their children enrolled in etiquette classes, but she was unable to find classes locally for her own children. That set the ball rolling as she realized that this was where business opportunity was going to intersect with her skills and passion, and Queen City Etiquette was born. This former engineer has had to learn a lot about marketing and running a business, but it has all been worth it. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daniellemoga/message
