The new year is a time to reflect and plan, to reset and renew things in our life. But no matter how hard we try, what we call or try as "new" fails in comparison to when Jesus makes someone new. In this podcast, we discuss the ultimate renewal of our life that only comes through Jesus.

What happens when God gives you what you wanted, but not what you expected? In this discussion about the book of Jonah, we will discuss how Jonah's revolt and rebellion from God's command led him to an unexpected place.  

What happens when you find the waves of life are crashing down on you?  Does the storm cause you to run toward God or to run away from Him?  And why does God allow these storms to come anyway? We continue our discussion through the Book of Jonah asking these and other important questions.  We will see how characters respond to the storm. Enjoy!

As a prophet of God, Jonah says and believes the right things about God, but his behavior and actions communicate something different. In this podcast, we continue our discussion of Jonah 1 and consider how God is not only interested in what we say we believe, but how our lives ought to be an accurate expression of that faith. The question is: How will Jonah respond? How will we respond?

What happens when we try to avoid the will or command of God for our lives?  What happens when we try to run from God? In this podcast, we continue our discussion of Jonah 1 and consider the actions of Jonah as he attempts to run from the command of God to preach to the Ninevites.

Our discussion in Jonah chapter 1 continues as we consider the mentality of Jonah as he tried to "check out" of life. Jonah's self centered attituded contrasts with that of the Gentile sailors who are more willing to call out on God than Jonah. Enjoy!

In this episode, we consider the relentless pursuit of God.  Jonah runs, but God pursues after him and does not give on his prophet.  In the same way, God relentlessly pursues us, even if we run from Him. Enjoy!  

Jonah is told by God to preach a message but instead of obeying, Jonah decided to run the opposite direction. In this episode, we discuss how we, like Jonah, often run from what God has told us to do or say. We pray that God blesses you as you listen. Enjoy!
