You are not beyond God's reach."But He needed to go through Samaria." Jn 4:4 NKJVThe Bible says that Jesus "left Judea and departed again to Galilee. But He needed to go through Samaria" (vv. 3-4 NKJV). In case you may not be aware of it, Samaria was not on the way to Galilee. Actually, it was miles out of the way. Yet, the Bible says Jesus "needed to go." Think about it: It was a long journey, and He was on foot. It was hot. As a Jew, He wouldn't be welcomed there because of a long-standing animosity between Jews and Samaritans. As for the woman at the well that He went to meet, women in that culture were forbidden to talk to men outside of their own family. Furthermore, this woman was the talk of the town because she had been through five divorces. So, why did Jesus feel like He "needed to go"? Because He saw this woman as a diamond in the rough. While those around her talked about her past and her problems, Jesus saw her potential for His kingdom. "Many of the Samaritans... believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified" (v. 39 NKJV). To reach Galilee on God's schedule, Jesus had to throw man's schedule out the window. But the schedule didn't control Him. What did? The will of God and the unmet needs of hurting people. And He was willing to go out of His way, turn tradition on its head, and break new ground in order to do it. How about you? Can God interrupt your plans? If He can, then He can use you. All of us know someone we might consider to be "beyond God's reach." It's the family member who obstinately REFUSES to have anything to do with "organized religion" and who claims to be more "enlightened" than the rest of the family. It's the co-worker who grew up in church but is the first one to name the hypocrisy and politicization of church as a reason to "stay clear." Is it possible to be too far gone for God's compassion and mercy? Can any of us get to a point where it's no longer possible to hear God's voice? In this message, Max Vanderpool walks us through Joshua 2 - and the story of Rahab and how faith and fear are common reactions to when God is at work.

"To the Lord, our God belongs mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him." Daniel 9:9 Do you ever feel like you are beyond God's mercy and grace? Have you reached a point where the intensity of your sins has become too much to handle? Do not despair; instead, take comfort in knowing God's unconditional love is strong enough to reach even the unreachable. God's grace and mercy know no bounds. His forgiveness is available to all who come to Him. No matter how deep into sin we have gone or how far away from God we may seem, He still loves us and desires for us to turn back to Him. We can never get too far away for Him not to be able to forgive us when we ask for it. This truth can be difficult to accept when we are caught up in our sin and regret. We may feel as though we are too far gone for God to forgive us. But the Bible tells us that God's mercy is greater than our sin ( Ephesians 2:4). In other words, we can take comfort in knowing that God is always willing to forgive us and that His mercy is never beyond reach. We can approach Him confidently, knowing He will always welcome us back with open arms. Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Even though our sins can seem overwhelming, there is a way out through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Also, remember that God's mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). No matter what we have done or how we have failed, God's mercy is always waiting for us. We don't have to try to deserve God's mercy; we must accept it with open arms (Matthew 21:22)." In addition to this beautiful promise, Hebrews also teaches that God's Word is living and active. This means that the Bible is not just a dusty old book; it is a powerful guide that can help us to understand and experience God's mercy. So, I encourage you to read and study the Bible and learn more about God's character and how to apply his teachings to your lives. The truth from God's word will set you free from the bondage of error, failure, shame, and how people label you. As Christians, we are called to live a life that is pleasing to God. To do this requires understanding who God is and how His character shapes our lives. So, let's take advantage of this gift by reading and studying the Bible and asking God to help us understand his love and grace because no one is beyond God's mercy. If we repent and turn to Him, He will forgive us. Amen. Acts 8:22 says, "Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray to the Lord. Perhaps He will forgive you for the intent of your heart." Amen. Prayer: 1. Oh Lord, I confess and forsake every sin that separates me from God's mercy and my divine protection. 2. Oh Lord, by your mercy, restore me to the place of your glory and Will, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. How many times will God forgive me and take me back again? I'm a Christian, but my walk with the Lord has been an on-and-off thing for a number of years. There have been many occasions when I've walked away from the Lord only to return to Him again after falling on my face and realizing the error of my ways. This is a recurring pattern in my life. At first I didn't think much about it, but lately I've been wondering: is it possible that I've used up my allotted "quota" of forgiveness? Have I worn out God's patience? Is this something I need to be worried about?

Today I am going to read you guys a story I read recently that deeply touched me. It's by John Moriarty, and it's called A Hut at the Edge of the Village.

The shepherds here are taking shifts, watching over their flock at night, as they normally would that time of year. As they diligently tend to their business, night suddenly turns to day as the glory of the Lord falls around them and angels arrive to deliver a message.
