Has “grace” lost its wonder? In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef challenges the modern misconceptions that have watered grace down into mere politeness—or made it unnecessary in an age of self-sufficiency and “rights.” The Truth is far more stunning: we are sinners who could never earn our way back to God. Only Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and His righteousness credited to us can justify us before the Father (see John 3:16).Dr. Youssef then brings this Gospel reality into your everyday battles. When trials hit, anxiety rises, or temptation threatens your fellowship with God, grace becomes more than a doctrine—it becomes your lifeline. Through prayer, God steadies you with peace and security, goes before you into life's battles, and provides victory that doesn't come from your strength, but from His.If you're facing pressure, fear, or exhaustion, this devotional will lift your eyes to the promise you can cling to today: God's grace is sufficient—and His power is revealed in your weakness.Scripture Focus: Psalm 20:7 The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. If today's devotional stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don't have to walk through it alone.
The finished work of Christ on the Cross was a great achievement providing a perfect basis for our eternal salvation. On the Cross, Christ provided a perfect salvation for all men, so that we might be saved from sin and all its effects. It consists of 3 aspects: Propitiation (the God-ward aspect), Reconciliation (the man-ward aspect), and Redemption (the sin-ward aspect). We study these 3 aspects in detail, and point out that they are all accomplished in Christ, through His Blood, and only become effectual for us, when we receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour, for only then are we put (baptised) into Christ, where these truths become reality. Explore the significance of being made righteous through faith and how it enables us to walk in the fullness of God's grace.
Texts: Genesis 25:19-34; Romans 9:6-16; Hebrews 12:15-17 God's Miraculous Grace (Gen. 25:19-21) God's promise of continues as He answers Isaac's prayer for children. God's miraculous grace is displayed in giving Isaac and Rebekah children in the midst of years of barrenness. God's Electing Grace (Gen. 25:22-28; Rom. 9:6-16) In this passage, there are two sons with two predetermined destinies. God chooses who will be His own – not based on human merit, but solely by His grace. The doctrine of election eliminates pride, encourages gratitude, and propels evangelism. God's Warning Grace (Gen. 25:29-34; Heb. 12:15-17) Esau sells his birthright for a meal in the backdrop of Jacob's deception. This serves to warn us against trusting our own deceitful desires for the instant gratification of our flesh.

In this message from Gospel People, Paul opens his heart to the Corinthian church and shows us how deeply our relationships with others are shaped by our relationship with God. From integrity and sincerity to love and pastoral care, Paul's words remind us that gospel-centered living transforms how we speak, how we lead, and how we love. To Everything a Season: Lutheran Reflections Through the Church Year
In this episode we discuss the nature and attributes of God's saving grace.
The grace of God is a free gift, not earned by works, that provides forgiveness, spiritual strength, and the opportunity for a relationship with God, extending beyond mere forgiveness to empower believers for holy living. It's God's benevolent action to bless the undeserving, making abundant life and eternal hope possible. In this special commissioning service TJ Bowser preaches on Titus 2:11-14.
The sermon centers on Titus 2:11–15, presenting a profound reversal of Paul's typical doctrinal-ethical structure by beginning with ethical imperatives and grounding them in the divine doctrine of Christ's epiphany—His visible manifestation in grace and future glory. It emphasizes that God's saving grace, which became incarnate in Jesus Christ, not only forgives sin but actively teaches believers to reject ungodliness and worldly desires while cultivating sober, righteous, and godly living in the present age. This transformation is sustained by the believer's hope in Christ's glorious return, which is not merely a future event but a present motivation that shapes daily conduct. The passage affirms Christ's full deity and salvific work, highlighting His self-giving sacrifice to redeem believers from sin and purify them into a holy people zealous for good works. Ultimately, the Christian life is defined by the tension of the 'already and not yet'—living in the present age with the certainty of future redemption, anchored in the triple confession: Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again.
The message begins with recounting the story of a congregant that you were trying help with his own personal issues. He essentially says that he thinks he is smarter than any of the staff and you. This message is a warning about intellectual pride. We are to be cautious to not get puffed up in our own knowledge to "be not wise in your own conceits." The antidote is to work out our salvation in fear and trembling, in humility, to walk humbly with God. It is God that gives us knowledge and wisdom. There's a deep pleasure in the gospel that we don't talk about very much, and it's the pleasure of being surrounded by others in such a safe, fun, and inviting way that we can learn to laugh. Laugh at the world, laugh at ourselves. There's such a relief in being able to say, like Abraham and Sarah, “Oh what a fool I've been! I was so sure I knew how this was all going to shake out. I shaped my whole life around a bunch of assumptions and look where I wound up!” When was the last time you laughed? Like belly laughed? Like laughed so hard it hurt? Maybe you were watching a show or a comedy special and it gave you the giggles, but some of the best laughter we ever share, we share with and because of other people. Karl Barth once noted that laughter is the closest thing to the grace of God. Because when we laugh, we are sitting at that table with the Trinity. When we laugh we laugh at the wild absurdity of it all. That we exist in this world, that we have friends to share it with, that we have light and love and laughter is worth laughing about.
Pastor Ross begins our series on the letters of Peter by preaching from 1 Peter 1:1-2.
What act could be more one-sidedly free and non-negotiated than one person raising another from the dead? This is the meaning of grace.
A spiritual and saving knowledge of God is the greatest need of every human creature. The foundation of all true knowledge of God must be a clear understanding of His attributes as revealed in Holy Scripture. An unknown God cannot be truly trusted, served, nor worshipped. In this book, an effort has been made to describe some of the principal perfections of His divine character. And if we are to truly profit from our perusal of the pages herein, we need to earnestly ask God to bless them to us, to apply His Truth to our conscience and heart, so that, by it, our lives will be transformed. We need something more than a theoretical knowledge of God. God is only truly known in the soul inasmuch as we yield ourselves to Him, submit to His authority, and regulate all the details of our lives by His holy precepts and commandments. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord (Hosea 6:3). If any man will do His will, he shall know (John 7:17). The people that do know their God shall be strong (Daniel 11:32). About the Author Arthur Walkington Pink (1886-1952) was an influential British Christian evangelist and biblical scholar known for his profound writings and teachings on Reformed theology. Born in Nottingham, England, Pink converted to Christianity in his early twenties, and lived a life devoted to the Lord. His passion for Scripture led him to pastorates in the United States and Australia, though he is best remembered for his prolific writing. Pink's works, including The Sovereignty of God and numerous articles in his monthly magazine, Studies in the Scriptures, have had a lasting impact in the body of Christ.

God is not the God of some grace. He is the God of all grace — including the infinite, inexhaustible stores of future grace that we need to endure to the end.
God gives both the sustaining grace we need in times of trouble, and the suffering which makes us depend on his grace.
