Even when God seems silent, He is still working behind the scenes. It's easy to believe God has forgotten you when your circumstances don't make sense, your prayers feel unanswered, or your life isn't going according to plan. Moses was born into oppression, hidden in a basket, raised in a palace, guilty of murder, and eventually living in obscurity in the wilderness. None of it seemed connected. None of it seemed purposeful. Yet God was using every chapter to prepare Moses for what was coming next. God's silence does not mean God's absence. About the Series: Life is full of questions we wish God would answer. Why did the diagnosis come? Why did the relationship end? Why did the opportunity disappear? Why does the waiting continue when we've prayed for so long? Most of us want explanations, but throughout Scripture, God often offers something different. Instead of revealing the entire plan, He invites us to trust Him one step at a time. The life of Moses is a powerful example of that kind of faith. From being born into slavery and raised in a palace to leading God's people through impossible circumstances, Moses repeatedly found himself in situations that didn't make sense. Yet through every season of uncertainty, God was present, faithful, and at work in ways Moses couldn't fully see. In this series, we'll follow Moses' journey and discover what it means to trust God's character when we don't understand His timing, His methods, or His plans. Because faith isn't trusting God when He explains Himself. Faith is trusting God when He doesn't. Join us as we learn that the most important question isn't, "Do I understand what God is doing?" but "Will I trust Him anyway?" Hebrews 13:5–6 offers a powerful reminder that God’s presence is unwavering, even in moments of rejection, fear, or emotional pain. In this devotional, Emily Rose Massey reflects on the deep wounds that come from feeling abandoned or dismissed, and how those experiences can linger long after the moment has passed. Through personal reflection and Scripture, she points readers back to the unchanging truth that God does not forsake His children. Highlights Emotional wounds from rejection can linger and shape how we trust others. Human relationships are imperfect, but God’s presence is constant and unchanging. Hebrews 13:5–6 reassures believers that God will never forsake them. Jesus personally experienced rejection, betrayal, and abandonment. God’s faithfulness provides healing for deep emotional pain. Forgiveness is a pathway to freedom from bitterness and resentment. Our identity is secured in God’s love, not human approval. Drawing near to God brings comfort in seasons of emotional distress. Full Transcript Below: God Doesn’t Reject His Children By: Emily Rose Massey Bible Reading:“…for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5b-6, NASB). I woke up one morning recently crying after having a very vivid, heart-piercing dream. It was almost as if my current heart-struggle was being played out right before me; I could honestly see this dream happening in reality. The words spoken (in the dream) to my husband and me cut to the core, and they hurt so badly that my first reaction was tears so strong they stained my cheeks when I awoke. Being a storyteller allows for intense dream-tales in my mind while I’m supposed to be resting, sleeping. It’s something I have always dealt with since I was a child- I wake up trying to shake the mental visions, telling myself over and over again that it’s not real. Eventually, the emotions fade, and I can go on with the rest of my day. In this recent instance, I had trouble getting past the pain and just began talking to God about it. It was obvious and simple- I was still dealing with rejection, and it still hurt, but I was reminded that there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Although Proverbs 18:24 doesn’t necessarily say that friend is Jesus, I know that He will always be there for me even when everyone else fails me. Scripture tells us that God never leaves us or forsakes us in Deuteronomy 31:6. This truth from the Old Testament about our never-changing God is also stated again as a reminder in Hebrews 13, along with this powerful truth that people will fail us, and people may reject us, but we should not fear, for God is on our side. He is our helper. “…for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5b-6, NASB). Intersecting Life & Faith: When we face rejection from others, we must remember that Jesus understands rejection better than anyone, as He has experienced it firsthand. Many people rejected Jesus (and continue to do so) while He was here on earth, even one of His very own disciples (Judas), rejected Him and betrayed Him. And just a couple of hours later, another one of His closest disciples (Peter) rejected knowing Him. Three times to be exact. Aren’t you so thankful for Jesus’ forgiveness when we turn our backs on Him! He gives us so many opportunities to repent and make things right in our relationship with Him! His mercies towards us are new every single morning… oh, what love! Has the pain of rejection made it difficult for you to trust others? Lay that pain at the foot of the cross, friend. God can bring healing to the wounds of those who have hurt you and empower you to choose to forgive. Instead of allowing bitterness to take root in your heart, perhaps you should ask the Lord to bless those who have hurt you, even if they don’t want you in their life anymore. Jesus was rejected, yet He took the punishment of our sin out of love for those who would put their trust in Him. No matter how much man rejects us, we must remember that Jesus is the friend who sticks by us no matter what. He will never leave you nor turn His back on you. The Lord understands our pain regarding rejection, and His arms are open wide, so let us be quick to draw near to Him. Lo, He is always with you…even to the end of the age! Most of us don't pray honestly. Not because we're trying to be fake, but because we're not sure God can handle the real version. So we edit. We soften. We bring the composed version and hope it's enough.Psalm 13 blows that up. David shows up with accusations, exhaustion, and zero filter...and God didn't redact a word of it. He put it in the Bible. This message is about what makes that kind of honesty possible. It's about a love that was decided before you woke up this morning, that doesn't flinch at your anger or your doubt or your 2AM spiral. And it's about why the cross changes everything about how we pray in a "how long" season.Talk It Over:1. David prays with zero filter, accusation, exhaustion, raw honesty. When you pray, which version of yourself usually shows up? Why do you think that is?2. Observation #1 is about naming the gap between what God promised and what life actually feels like. What's a gap you've been afraid to name out loud, even to God?3. We talked about the 2AM spiral, where we're running scenarios, mapping outcomes, trying to think your way out of something thinking can't fix. What does your version of that look like, and have you ever brought it to God unfiltered?4. The pivot in verse 5 happens before anything changes. What would it look like for you to say "but I trust" right now…not because circumstances improved, but because 'hesed' doesn't change?5. David had a promise. We have the cross. How does knowing what 'hesed' actually cost change the way you pray in a "how long" season?+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL

EXODUS LESSON 73 PART 2 I strongly urge you to listen to Lesson 73 part 1 before listening to part 2. You'll see how important it is to make sure you do this to get a better understanding of the questions and issues in these verses. Here's the link for part 1 - https://lightofmenorah.podbean.com/e/exodus-73-part-1-exod-3210-18-god-cant-change-his-mind/ One major problem we'll deal with is the way the translators of the New American Standard Bible 1995 translated the Hebrew in Exod. 32:14 to come up with the phrase, “God changed His mind.” In part 1 it is so clear that God does not change and never changes His mind. This is a major issue and one wonders how this could've happened since again and again the very words of God show the truth that God does not change and never changes His mind. Below check out the chart. You'll see that the NASB is the only Bible version that uses the phrase “God changed His mind.” The King James (KJV) and the Amplified Bible (AMP) and the Jewish Publication Society (JPS) translations are probably the most accurate. The Lord repented or turned away from one thing to turn to another. Repent in Hebrew comes from the Hebrew verb LaShuv לָשׁוּב meaning to turn around or to go back. The Strong's number H7725. It is the verb that forms the Hebrew word for repentance of Teshuvah תְּשׁוּבָה. It is not just connected to doing repentance from sin. It could be one wants to give up smoking. So one would turn from smoking and to turn to something else. In other words one is doing Teshuvah תְּשׁוּבָה from smoking. That is how the Bible uses the word and not just related to sin. Thus, God is turning from one thing to do another. I wrote an article on trying to get at this in a more understandable way. Here's the article below. Does God change His mind? How can this be? We have two verses that contradict each other. Consider ... Exodus 32:14 So the LORD changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people. (Exo 32:14) Malachi 3:6 "For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed." (Mal 3:6) Which is it? If God does not change then how did Moses have God change His mind and yet God says He will not. This is not like God. This is nuts. I thought the Bible was in full agreement!! Can this be explained?? Also, one reads in the very words of God that certain people will be restricted from the Assembly of God. Deu 23:1-8 "No one who is emasculated or has his male organ cut off shall enter the assembly of the LORD. (2) "No one of illegitimate birth shall enter the assembly of the LORD; none of his descendants, even to the tenth generation, shall enter the assembly of the LORD. (3) "No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD; none of their descendants, even to the tenth generation, shall ever enter the assembly of the LORD, (4) because they did not meet you with food and water on the way when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. (5) "Nevertheless, the LORD your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD your God loves you. (6) "You shall never seek their peace or their prosperity all your days. (7) "You shall not detest an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not detest an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land. (8) "The sons of the third generation who are born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD. It says that all Moabites are so restricted and yet Ruth gets in. Why? How? (Listen to part 1 carefully regarding the Moabites. No Moabite will be allowed in to the Assembly of Israel up to an including the 10th generation by God's own words. Wait till you see how Ruth is probably of the 11th generation when one studies the Bible in its historical context. So, she can get in and she did!) It says that a MUMZER will not enter and Timothy is a mumzer - his mom was Jewish and his dad a pagan (Hebrew for one of illegitimate birth)!! Timothy!! He became a leader of the assembly of Messiah in Ephesus. We say as Gentiles we are grafted in but the Torah says NO!! God says it loud and clear. What is going on? How can both be true? Oh sure. One is the church and one is the synagogue. Right?? It can't be. This is a conundrum!! Let's check the Hebrew of Exod. 32:14 and Mal. 3:6. Exo 32:14 וינחם H5162 יהוה H3068 על H5921 הרעה H7451 אשׁר H834 דבר H1696 לעשׂות H6213 לעמו׃ H5971 Mal 3:6 כי H3588 אני H589 יהוה H3068 לא H3808 שׁניתי H8138 ואתם H859 בני H1121 יעקב H3290 לא H3808 כליתם׃ H3615 In English we are reading the word “change” (as to change one's mind in Ex 32:14 - word # 5162) and change (as to someone not changing as in Mal 3:6 - word #8138). In Exod 32:14 God "racham's" - it does NOT say He changes His mind!! The word racham is the word that is translated as "He changed His mind." That phrase is not even there. A better way to say this is that God repents; God turns from one thing to another. He REPENTS. Moses did NOT change HIS mind. What happened is God has set in place either punishment or a curse on those who are unrighteous. That is His intention. However, equally part of HIS intention is God's other option to forgive and erase the punishment if there is true repentance. Both options exist for God. It is one or the other - this is His simultaneous intention and purpose. Moses intervened for Israel and God did not change His mind. He can't. What God did was to turn, to repent, and allowed the other option. Both options are in play, both are His intentions. God has laid out those two options as part of His intentions. Thus, He did not change at all. In Mal 3:6 the word is "shanaw." This has the picture of "folding" one side on another. It has the implication of duplicating. God stays constant. He is ONE and will remain ONE. He is the Lord and HE does not go from one intention to another. Like with Moses God had either punishment or forgiveness. Both exist at once as God's intentions. In the case of sin this is God - both exist. He will turn from one to the other, from punishment to forgiveness if there is true teshuvah, repentance from the sin, and will not do option 1 but option 2. God is like that. He is always like that. God has it all covered and these options are already in place with HIM as His intentions. He will not do anything that is not already a part of HIMSELF. Thus, we study Torah to know HIM deeply and intimately and to begin to understand His ways. Finally, Moses was the greatest prophet of the Hebrew Scriptures (Deut. 34:10). God tells Moses the following … “I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.” (Deu 18:18) This is the Lord's prediction of the future coming of His Son, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah. So, Jesus is a prophet like Moses; for us as disciples of Jesus we'd say Jesus is the Greatest Prophet ever. But, we are to be disciples of Jesus or talmidim תַּלְמִידִים. A talmid is one who is a student of a rabbi and who lives to be like his rabbi. Check out the article entitled "Rabbi and Talmidim" at this link ... https://www.thattheworldmayknow.com/rabbi-and-talmidim Jesus says this quite clearly … “A pupil (from the Greek to the Hebrew is TALMID) is not above his teacher (from the Greek to the Hebrew is RAV or master. We say RABBI); but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.” (Luk 6:40) Thus, if we are real talmidim we are to be like Jesus. He was given the words of His Father to proclaim and thus Jesus is a prophet. But we are given the words of Jesus to go and proclaim. So, we are prophets as well in that Jesus sends us to bring the word to the Ends of the Earth. And as Moses offers prayers of intercession for Israel so Jesus offers prayers of intercession for His talmidim and the church, His Bride. Thus, if we are truly living to be a true disciple then we to must be ones who offer prayers of intercession for the ones we meet as well. We are to be like Him and follow Paul's teaching when he taught that we are to be like Paul since he is like his master, his RAV, Jesus (1Cor. 11:1). Rev. Ferret - who is this guy? Big Idea: God doesn't change problems; he changes people.Esther 9:1-17 I. God moves at the perfect momentEsther 9:1-5The king's command and law went into effect on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar. On the day when the Jews' enemies had hoped to overpower them, just the opposite happened. The Jews overpowered those who hated them. In each of King Ahasuerus's provinces the Jews assembled in their cities to attack those who intended to harm them. Not a single person could withstand them; fear of them fell on every nationality. All the officials of the provinces, the satraps, the governors, and the royal civil administrators aided the Jews because they feared Mordecai. For Mordecai exercised great power in the palace, and his fame spread throughout the provinces as he became more and more powerful. The Jews put all their enemies to the sword, killing and destroying them. They did what they pleased to those who hated them. II. Only God can turn the tidesEsther 9:6-10In the fortress of Susa the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men, including Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha, Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha, Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vaizatha. They killed these ten sons of Haman son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews. However, they did not seize any plunder.III. God is the only warrior that mattersEsther 9:11-17On that day the number of people killed in the fortress of Susa was reported to the king. The king said to Queen Esther, “In the fortress of Susa the Jews have killed and destroyed five hundred men, including Haman's ten sons. What have they done in the rest of the royal provinces? Whatever you ask will be given to you. Whatever you seek will also be done.” Esther answered, “If it pleases the king, may the Jews who are in Susa also have tomorrow to carry out today's law, and may the bodies of Haman's ten sons be hung on the gallows.” The king gave the orders for this to be done, so a law was announced in Susa, and they hung the bodies of Haman's ten sons. The Jews in Susa assembled again on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and killed three hundred men in Susa, but they did not seize any plunder. The rest of the Jews in the royal provinces assembled, defended themselves, and gained relief from their enemies. They killed seventy-five thousand of those who hated them, but they did not seize any plunder. They fought on the thirteenth day of the month of Adar and rested on the fourteenth, and it became a day of feasting and rejoicing.Next Steps: Believe: I need God to change me today.Become: I will serve someone in need this week.Be Sent: I want to see God change my city, one person at a time.Discussion Questions: When was the last time you faced opposition for doing the right thing?Who in your life does God most need to change?Has there been a situation you thought was too far gone for even God to change it?If God is the only factor that matters in our problems, why do we worry about our circumstances?Describe a time when you persevered, even though you wanted to give up. How did it turn out?How does it affect your faith when God doesn't respond when you want him to?Pray for the Holy Spirit to make you an agent of change in your city.

At 29 years old, Matt Grace weighed 129 pounds and walked into his mother's house after a three-day crack and alcohol binge. She told him that if he was going to die, it would not be in her house. That was the boundary that started everything. On this episode of The Hard Way, Joe De Sena sits down with Matt Grace, author of God Doesn't Relapse: Sex, Drugs, and the Life That Almost Killed Me, a former ABC TV reporter who overdosed in a newsroom and spent 13 years destroying every relationship through addiction, manipulation, and enabling. Matt breaks down how his father's well-intentioned spoiling robbed him of grit and ambition, how his family's enabling nearly killed him, and what happened the morning he got on his knees with a rifle beside him and prayed out of sheer desperation. They also dig into why parents loving their kids too much can be a death sentence, why service is the foundation of lasting recovery, and how structured accountability and community pull people out of destruction. Why doesn't God answer the prayer you have been praying the longest? The one for the marriage that fell apart anyway. The one for the loved one who still died. The one for the addiction you keep falling back into. If unanswered prayer has shaken your faith, you are not alone, and this sermon was made for you.In this message, Pastor Brandon walks through Luke 18:1 through 8, where Jesus tells a strange and surprisingly hopeful little story about a powerless widow, a heartless judge, and the kind of prayer that simply does not give up. Jesus actually tells Luke ahead of time why he is telling this parable. Verse 1 says it plainly. So that we should always pray and not give up. That is the whole point.Pastor Brandon is honest about something most pulpits quietly avoid. Unanswered prayer is one of the most common reasons people walk away from their faith. He is not talking about small prayers for a parking spot or a suit that fits. He is talking about the prayers that come out of desperation. The ones whispered through tears at 2 AM. The ones that get a deafening silence in return. The widow in the parable is helpless, voiceless, with no one in the world to fight for her. She is the picture of someone who has nothing left but a plea. The judge has all the power but no heart. He does not care about God or the woman. Eventually he gives her justice just to get her off his back. Then Jesus flips the whole thing. He says, if even that judge eventually came through, how much more will the just, loving, compassionate Father bring justice for his chosen ones who cry out to him day and night.Pastor Brandon also walks through the story of Joseph from Genesis, a 17 year ordeal of pits, slavery, false accusations, and dungeons. At every step, Joseph almost certainly prayed for one thing, to get back to his family. God answered, but in a way Joseph could never have scripted. The prayers were never ignored. They were folded into a bigger plan. In the end Joseph could look his brothers in the eye and say, you intended this for evil, but God intended it for good (Genesis 50:20).One of the most arresting lines in the message is this. God will always answer your prayer. Every prayer. But it is going to feel unanswered. Because God's timing is not Amazon Prime. He does not give a delivery date. He guarantees a delivery. And when you finally see what he was doing in the silence, you will realize his hand was in it all along. The whole teaching lands at the cross and the empty tomb. The greatest injustice in human history did not get the final word. God rolled the stone away. And because Jesus rose, you can trust that whatever pit you are sitting in, whatever prayer feels frozen, God is still moving. He is moving every chapter toward the day when he makes all things right.
In a world where everything feels more expensive and financial pressure keeps rising, many people feel like generosity is impossible. But what if the problem isn't just lack of resources — what if we've been following a financial system that simply isn't working? In this message, “God Doesn't Want A Tip,” Pastor Keith explores God's plan for generosity through three simple questions: When should I give? How much should I give? And why should I give? Discover how biblical generosity is not about guilt or pressure, but trust, worship, and becoming more like Jesus.

We're continuing our Daughters Series with the story of Deborah — a fearless judge, prophetess, and leader who heard God's voice clearly and walked in radical obedience. We talk about what it actually looks like to hear from God in everyday life, why obedience isn't about getting recognition, and how God often uses the unseen and overlooked moments to shape us most deeply. Through Deborah's story, we're reminded that when God is on our side, we truly have nothing to fear — even when the odds feel impossible. So what do you do when life does not turn out the way you prayed for it to?I share about one of the biggest struggles I faced during my divorce. Not questioning whether God could restore something, but wrestling with the reality that He simply wasn't going to. We talk about the tension of knowing God is capable of miracles while also learning that faith cannot be conditional to getting the outcome we want.We look at the story in Mark where Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me,” and what it truly means to have childlike faith. Not naive faith. Not perfect faith. But dependent, honest, trusting faith that still reaches for God even when we do not fully understand what He is doing. This episode is for anyone carrying disappointment, grief, confusion, or unanswered prayers. I want to encourage you that even when life feels uncertain, God will absolutely meet you there. Sometimes He changes the situation. Sometimes He changes us. And I've learned that both, are beautiful. And both, hold so much purpose. We may not understand everything we walk through, but God does not waste pain. And what you've been through may become the very thing that helps someone else heal. What a holy gift that is.Go to https://betterhelp.com/hopemoquin for 10% off your first month of therapy with BetterHelp and get matched with a therapist who will listen and help #sponsoredBook a call - https://stan.store/hopemoquinINSTAGRAM- www.instagram.com/hopemoquinTIKTOK - https://www.tiktok.com/@hopemoquin

Thanks to all who gave during our Spring Fundraiser! Carmen talks a few minutes to thank some who gave at the end of our our on-air fundraiser. Then, Carmen opens up Psalm 7:1 where David appeals to God for protection. How do we apply that to when the governement seeks to silence those of faith? How do you apply it when, like Ben Sasse, when you are facing death? Apologist Daniel DeWitt of Scholar Leaders helps us to remember the grace that saves us, and not our (im)perfect obedience. It's freedom. Plus, he offers a Christian take on being "post-ambition, pre-retirement." The Reconnect with Carmen and all Faith Radio are made possible by your support. Give now: Click here

Jay Gunkelman goes in BLIND — no diagnosis, no report, no hints. Just the EEG that Joshua Moore reviewed live with the panel on The Brain Bar. The next day on Thursday Carnac, Jay cold-reads the same 58-year-old female and finds a 45-degree diagonal line running from her left frontal cortex to her right posterior — the classic geometric signature of a coup-contra-coup injury. Plus a right temporal spike, left frontal alpha hyper-coherence, and Davidson's depressed mood signature. After half a million EEGs, the patterns reach out and grab you. The reveal? Depressed female with a history of a right-side head knock. Jay called it from the waveform alone.
