Fertility may be more about the daily choices we make rather than factors like delayed maternal age, says fertility physician Dr. Natalie Crawford. Markers of metabolic health, such as chronic inflammation, affect women's egg quality. Crawford, who experienced four failed pregnancies before having her children, began studying the link between inflammation and infertility. Taking charge of your fertility, she says, means having early conversations about hormonal health and taking steps, like better sleep and nutrition, to improve your chances of getting pregnant. She speaks with Pamela Brown, anchor and correspondent for CNN, about her new book The Fertility Formula: Take Control of Your Reproductive Future.

It's been a busy first half of the Kansas legislative session, and even more busy when the Chillin' team also has to cover some happenings outside the Legislature. Then add in some technical difficulties that we hope have been straightened out. Regardless, we're back and ready to talk about the biggest legislative accomplishment so far this year: an anti-transgender bathroom bill that also bans gender marker changes for state identification.

Your metabolism isn't about how fast you burn calories. It's about how well your cells create energy. And when cellular metabolism slows down, everything slows down — including ovulation. In today's episode, we're breaking down the 3 key markers we use inside fertility recovery to assess metabolic health: Your metabolic type (via HTMA) Your basal body temperature (BBT) Your full thyroid panel (not just TSH) Because when we support metabolism at the cellular level — whole body healing becomes possible again, and this is what restores your fertility. If you're ready for personalized support, there are 2 spots left in Premier Period Recovery for Fertility this month. Apply HERE.
Pathfinder Church | January 15, 2026 | Dion GarrettConventional wisdom says it's a bad idea to change horses in midstream, but when it comes to Grace, the very thing that all Christians acknowledge as the means for our salvation, we seem to struggle to live by it. Unfortunately, too many churches, seeing the reality of sin in the world, abandon grace and reach for a different means to motivate and grow people. This episode of Pagecast is brought to you in collaboration with the ARTdacity podcast, just in time for the Investec Art Fair later this month. This week, Jo-Ann Strauss interviews Nicola Brandt about her book, The Distance Within, which features photographs and video stills made over more than a decade. The Distance Within reflects on Nicola Brandt's German and Namibian inheritance and deconstructs certain established ways of seeing Namibia. Brandt traveled the country extensively, documenting landscapes and people, structures and encounters, to reveal ensnared histories of German colonialism, National Socialism and apartheid. Markers of these histories range from the ephemeral and private, such as a dilapidated mound of stones as a roadside memorial, to official sites of remembrance and resistance, particularly for colonial atrocities. Alongside her images, Brandt assembles texts by thought leaders in photography, postcolonial cultures, memory and genocide studies, as well as material from private and public archives, to understand enduring blind spots. The result is an intersectional argument in favor of reclaiming suppressed indigenous stories and identities, undoing romantic notions of whiteness, and, ultimately, illuminating what has not been visible. Pathfinder Church | January 25, 2026 | AJ MasticIf we see the whole point of life as getting to heaven, then what point is there to doing anything but evangelizing and baptizing people? Why would churches ever pay attention to the real-life needs of the people or the world around them? Was it just proof of his power? Was it bait to reel people in? Pathfinder Church | January 11, 2026 | Doug MaussThe world has changed a lot since Jesus, but especially in the last 100 years! Heart disease is the #1 cause of death, and most people don't realize their risk is building silently for decades, even if their cholesterol test looks “normal.” In this episode of Live Lean TV, I break down why your standard cholesterol panel is missing the most important heart disease markers, and what Dr. Peter Attia actually recommends tracking for long-term cardiovascular health and longevity. According to Dr. Peter Attia, your total cholesterol number is only slightly more relevant to heart disease risk than your eye color. Instead, the real predictors are ApoB and Lp(a), two blood markers most people never test. ► Free 7 Day Trial To My Workout App: https://www.liveleantv.com ► Live Lean Body Quiz: https://www.liveleantv.com/quiz ► Free 7 Day Meal Plan And Recipes: https://www.liveleantv.com/free-stuff ⏱️ Table of Contents 00:00 Intro 00:59 Why You Need To Be Aware Of Cardiovascular Disease In Your 30's and 40's 01:32 ApoB: Your Cholesterol Test Is Missing This Heart Disease Marker 02:16 Why Lp(a) Testing Is Important For Cardiovascular Disease Risk 04:31 The Truth About Dietary Cholesterol And Heart Disease 05:53 HDL vs LDL Cholesterol Levels: What's The Difference In this video, you'll learn: ► Why heart disease risk starts building in your 30s and 40s ► What ApoB is and why it matters more than LDL cholesterol ► Why Lp(a) is a genetic risk factor you should test at least once ► The truth about dietary cholesterol, saturated fat, and heart disease ► HDL vs LDL explained in simple terms ► Why standard cholesterol tests can give a false sense of security ► The exact blood markers I personally track for heart health and longevity Subscribe Here! http://bit.ly/SubLiveLeanTV Check Out Our Top Videos! http://bit.ly/LiveLeanTVTopVideos Read the blog here: https://www.liveleantv.com/blog Listen to the podcast here: https://www.liveleantv.com/podcast WANT MORE DAILY TIPS ON HOW TO LIVE LEAN?: ► INSTAGRAM: http://www.instagram.com/bradgouthro ► INSTAGRAM: http://www.instagram.com/JessicaGouthroFitness ► INSTAGRAM: http://www.instagram.com/LiveLeanTV ► SNAPCHAT: https://www.snapchat.com/add/bradgouthro ► FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/LiveLeanTV ► TWITTER: https://www.twitter.com/bradgouthro ► TWITTER: https://www.twitter.com/LiveLeanTV ► TIK-TOK: https://www.tiktok.com/@bradgouthro ► TIK-TOK: https://www.tiktok.com/@liveleantv #cholesterol #hearthealth #LiveLeanTV About Live Lean TV: Welcome to Live Lean TV. In this episode, Dr. Datis Kharrazian explores longevity medicine and the hallmarks of aging and disease. How do early signs of loss of resilience—like cognitive decline or changes in physical appearance—offer clues about our biological age? What can cutting-edge studies, such as the Dunedin Longitudinal Study, teach us about predicting poor aging trajectories and preventing chronic diseases like cardiovascular issues and cancer, before they silently take hold?Dr. Kharrazian uncovers the mechanisms underlying tissue degeneration, explores why resilience is central to healthy aging, and explains how functional medicine clinicians can use biomarkers and in-depth assessments to help shift morbidity later in life. Whether you're a healthcare practitioner, a nutrition enthusiast, or facing chronic health challenges, this episode bridges the gap between complex science and actionable steps you can implement right now.Learn functional longevity strategies from Dr. Datis Kharrazian. Pathfinder Church | January 4, 2025 | Dion GarrettWhile trying to live out your purpose, you can easily get lost in it. That's the story of numerous organizations and people; they start out with a clear reason for existing, but they lose sight of it and fail to keep the main thing, the main thing. 2025 brought us Philly sports fans a lot. We saw an Eagles Super Bowl win. We saw the Flyers pull off a great trade for Trevor Zegras. Tyrese Maxey has been a NBA superstar. The Phillies still remain a relevant team in the National League. But we also learned some very bizarre and ridiculous things in the world as well. As 2025 comes to a close, we dove into some of those bizarre and ridiculous things we learned and wanted to share them with you. We'd love to know what you think about these subjects as well. We need to talk about the "intern" sitting on your desktop...Come on, you know the one. Sure, they are fast, very eager to please, and can process data at lightning speeds. But they also have a bad habit of hallucinating facts and making things up just to make you happy.Of course, I'm talking about AI.It is fair to say that we are past the initial "wow" phase of generative AI. Now, for us service design professionals, the real question is: How do we actually hire, train, and trust this new digital colleague? That is the focus of this episode of our Inside Service Design series. We sit down for a chat with two brilliant professionals: Jessica Dugan and Judith Buhmann. They share a grounded, hype-free look at how they are integrating AI into their own existing workflows. Not as a replacement for our work, but as a "Junior Associate" who needs some (sometimes a lot) management. To make this real, Jess walks us through the framework she uses for building her own custom AI agents. She explains how to define their "persona," scope their tasks, and curate their knowledge base so they can actually be useful (and safe). And Judith shares a critical perspective on why we can't fully trust AI yet. We explore why we need to treat AI as an "unreliable narrator" especially when working with vulnerable groups. So if you are feeling a bit somewhat by the pressure to "use AI" but aren't sure how to do it responsibly, this conversation has some key insights you don't want to miss. Here's a question: If you had to give your current AI tools a "performance" review, what rating would you give them? A) Employee of the month B) Promising intern (needs supervision) C) Chaos agent (fires random info at me). Let me know, I'm really curious where we are all at!Be well, ~ Marc--- [ 1. If you have been feeling inflamed, fatigued, overly stressed, or unsure why your body is not responding the way it used to, this episode will help you understand what your physiology is trying to communicate. In today's episode, I sat down with Dr. Ara Suppiah, a functional sports medicine physician who makes complex biomarker data feel simple, practical, and grounded. We explore why health is shaped by patterns and trends rather than isolated numbers and how markers like the Omega-3 index, hs-CRP, cortisol, and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio reveal what is happening beneath the surface. We also discuss oral health as an early inflammation signal, the connection between movement and longevity, and the small daily habits that strengthen resilience. Dr. Ara Suppiah is a functional sports medicine physician known for translating complex physiology into guidance people can apply right away. What's Discussed: (00:00) Why your labs look “normal” even when your body doesn't (04:18) The biomarkers that quietly predict resilience or burnout (09:52) What Omega-3, hs-CRP, and NLR reveal about hidden stress (15:10) How your gums expose inflammation before symptoms begin (21:44) The link between movement, recovery, and long-term vitality (28:30) What natural movement teaches us about microbiome health (36:12) How overtraining disrupts hormones and drains energy (42:58) When tools and medications support longevity goals (51:05) How to build a physiology that ages slowly and feels grounded Thank You to Our Sponsors: IM8: I'm always searching for wellness that's simple, effective, and rooted in science. Acts 11:19-31 demonstrates that gospel hubs develop through three markers: cross-cultural evangelism that reaches overlooked people, encouraging leadership that sees potential in rejected servants like Saul, and practical love that sends relief to suffering believers. Antioch became the launching pad for world missions because unnamed believers dared to speak to Greeks, showing that movements start with ordinary people taking extraordinary steps of faith. When Barnabas saw God's grace and was glad rather than threatened, he modeled how established leaders should celebrate new works.

I am excited to reconnect with Dr. Tom Dayspring today. He joined me before for an extremely popular seven-part podcast series where we tackled topics related to lipids and the physiological shifts that occur as we transition from perimenopause into menopause. Dr. Dayspring graciously agreed to return today for an Ask Me Anything episode, where we explore how lipids change as we navigate the perimenopause-to-menopause transition and discuss the significance of bioindividuality, inflammation, vascular health, and endothelial function in the context of changing estrogen levels. Dr. Dayspring also clarifies how visceral fat affects lipid levels, and we discuss testing for cardiovascular disease, the relevance of particle size, LPIR scores, and physical markers of insulin resistance. Stay tuned for today's valuable and fascinating conversation. I will share the second AMA with Dr. Dayspring later this fall. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN: How estrogen loss impacts lipid metabolism in midlife Shifts in vascular health that occur during the menopause transition What makes endothelial function central to long-term health? Why triglycerides matter more than you think How variations in LDL particle size influence cardiovascular risk What standard cholesterol tests could miss about your cardiovascular health How inflammation can alter your lipid profile How your genes and lifestyle shape your lipid profile Markers women need to track over and above standard cholesterol tests How menopause reshapes women's cardiovascular risk profile Connect with Cynthia Thurlow Follow on X, Instagram & LinkedIn Check out Cynthia's website Submit your questions to support@cynthiathurlow.com Connect with Dr. Thomas Dayspring On X (@DrLipid) On LinkedIn
