As America moves toward its 250th anniversary in 2026, many people are thinking again about the country's founding, its documents, its ideals, and the generations who carried the story forward. America250 describes July 4, 2026, as the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the National Archives is preparing its own Freedom 250 commemoration around 250 years of America and the Declaration of Independence. The Smithsonian is also marking the anniversary with programs meant to examine America's past, present, and future. Sources are listed at the end of this article. That makes this a good time to think not only about what we remember, but how we remember it. In travels around the country, it's hard not to notice that some public history has changed. In some towns, monuments have been removed. In others, signs have been replaced, plaques have disappeared, buildings have been renamed, and local displays have been rewritten. Sometimes those changes happen with public debate. Other times, they happen quietly, and only the people who pass through often notice that something is missing. People will disagree about whether each change is good, bad, needed, unfair, overdue, or unnecessary. That is part of living in a country with a long and complicated past. But one thing remains true no matter where someone stands on those debates. Removing a marker does not remove the history. A sign may come down. A statue may be moved. A display may be changed. A building may get a new name. Yet the event still happened. The person still lived. The community still existed. The letters were still written. The court files were still recorded. The newspapers still printed the story. The land records still show the owners. The pension files still tell of military service. The church registers still name the baptisms, marriages, and burials. The census still places families in a household, on a road, in a town, in a year. Public memory can change, but the past does not vanish because the public display changes. That is why America's 250th anniversary should send us back to the sources. It's the Leatt LVK: More Than Moto show where Start Your Systems' Kellen Brauer and Vital MX's Lewis Phillips debate current SX/MX/MXGP topics as well as general life itself. In this episode, we hand out end-of-season grades to some of the biggest names in the sport. Who passed, who barely survived, and who completely flunked? We also dive into one of the most interesting questions in the paddock right now: what does Star Yamaha do with Cole Davies after winning a title? Is he the future face of the team, or is there a bigger shakeup coming? And of course, we go deep on the Hunter Lawrence vs. Ken Roczen championship battle. Momentum swings, pressure, mistakes, and who we think ultimately has the edge with everything on the line. It's all brought to you by Leatt, Alpinestars, and Partzilla.

Matriarchal Societies of the Past and the Rise of Patriarchy》by Heide Goettner-Abendroth 《有丝分裂细胞的起源》(On the Origin of Mitosing Cells)by 琳•马古利斯 《力比多的转化与象征》、《原型与集体潜意识》by 卡尔•荣格 “Positive Affect and Markers of Inflammation: Discrete Positive Emotions Predict Lower Levels of Inflammatory Cytokines” by Jennifer E. Hypertonic Saline Plus Furosemide Linked to Lower Inflammatory and Remodeling Markers in ADHF

BUFFALO, NY — April 7, 2026 — A new #research paper was #published in Volume 18 of Aging-US on March 26, 2026, titled “Effects of intravenous furosemide plus small-volume hypertonic saline solutions on inflammatory, remodelling markers and epigenetics signatures of patients with congestive acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF).” Led by first author Mario Daidone from University Hospital, Policlinico, Paolo Giaccone, and the University of Palermo, with corresponding author Antonino Tuttolomondo from University Hospital, Policlinico, Paolo Giaccone, and University of Palermo, the randomized trial compared i.v. furosemide plus small-volume hypertonic saline solution (HSS) with i.v. furosemide alone in patients with acute decompensated heart failure due to reduced ejection fraction. The study enrolled 200 subjects, randomly assigning 107 to furosemide plus HSS and 93 to furosemide alone. The authors found that patients treated with i.v. furosemide plus HSS showed lower increases in inflammatory and remodeling biomarkers after saline load, including IL-6, hsTnT, sST2, galectin-3, and NT-proBNP, and the intervention was associated with reduced miR181b expression compared with furosemide alone. These findings suggest that adding small-volume hypertonic saline to loop diuretic therapy may influence both circulating biomarkers and miRNA-related epigenetic signatures in acute heart failure. “Nevertheless, the possible effects of the i.v. furosemide + HSS treatment on natriuretic and inflammatory markers of heart failure deserve further confirmation, whereas the effects of this type of treatment on epigenetic signatures of pathologic mechanisms involved in the left ventricular dysfunction involved in AHF pathogenesis seem to be still not studied.” The authors note that this was a randomized trial in a specific ADHF population, so additional studies will be needed to confirm the durability of the biomarker changes, define the optimal patient groups, and determine whether these molecular effects translate into improved clinical outcomes. Future work may also clarify how the saline strategy interacts with cardiac remodeling and miRNA regulation in larger and more diverse heart failure cohorts. I am thrilled to connect with Dr. Lindsey Berkson today. The audacious and tenacious Dr. Berkson is a distinguished hormone scholar from the highly praised Center for Bioenvironmental Research at Tulane. She is the author of 21 books, and her impact on medical literature continues to grow. With her thoughtful manner and infectious enthusiasm for learning, she educates women about their bodies and health. Our discussion today highlights the importance of supporting the hippocampus and doing targeted cardiovascular exercise. We explore hormone replacement therapy, the timing hypothesis, and why oxytocin is more than just a bonding hormone. We cover endocrine-disrupting chemicals, detoxification, gut health, inflammation, and ways to support immunity, and we examine how oxytocin influences digestion, gut motility, and gut-brain access. We also explain how oxytocin protects our stem cells, prevents gut trauma after colonoscopies, reduces gut inflammation, and supports healthy transit time. Dr. Berkson's new book, The Oxytocin Medicine, is truly an incredible resource and one I will reference often. It is most inspiring! IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN: How a shrinking hippocampus alters women's identity and resilience The value of cardio-respiratory fitness and pushing limits for driving resilience How conservative hormone dosing may fail to protect women's health in perimenopause and beyond Women's Health Initiative messaging created a widespread fear of estrogen. Why Dr. Berkson challenges the timing hypothesis  The difference between synthetic progestins and naturally made progesterone Oxytocin and how it functions as a system-wide hormone Importance of detoxification during the perimenopause to menopause transition  Consistent patterns are common among women who age with physical and cognitive resilience. Rather than chasing isolated lab values like glucose, cholesterol, or testosterone, the conversation shifts toward a systems-based approach — where every biomarker is part of a dynamic network of relationships. Crawford, who experienced four failed pregnancies before having her children, began studying the link between inflammation and infertility. Taking charge of your fertility, she says, means having early conversations about hormonal health and taking steps, like better sleep and nutrition, to improve your chances of getting pregnant.
