On Christmas 2016, Kevin Breen wasn't feeling well. A few days later, he was in a coma. Unbeknownst to him, he had strep throat that turned septic. Doctors told his wife and young kids that he might not make it. Thank God he did, but doctors ended up having to amputate both of his legs below the knee, his left forearm, and his right fingers. He's a quad amputee and one of the most incredible men I have ever met. Kevin is one of my patient stories, one that will stay with me forever! I have partnered with Lauren Befus of Heirloom Life Story Books by Memory Lane Jane to share patient stories once a month on the Class2Clinic podcast.
