You are just like God Knowing yourself is as important as knowing God. This is because until you know who you are you may not even know how God communicates with you. We will be exploring the aspect of who we are in relation to who God is. Never forget that God created us in His image and after His likeness. In image refers to the structure of His figure whereas after His likeness refers to His character, abilities and purpose You are born of God We are born by the word of God. The word of God is the manual of our lives. You get to know God better and know yourself better by studying and meditating on the word of God. (John 1:12) By what are you born again having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever – 1 Peter 1:23 How to develop consciousness of who you are and live as such But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. – 1 John 4:17 God Himself calls us gods You have to start seeing yourself the way God sees you. The place in the Bible where God calls us gods is the very place he rebukes us for not acting as such (Psalm 82) I said, "You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High. – Psalm 82:6 We have the God kind of life…..eternal life He that has believed in the name of Jesus Christ has eternal life. Jesus said He is with us till the end of the age. You fellowship with God by meditating on his word, praying and, when we fellowship with other believers. We are just like Jesus (1 John 4:17) here on earth. He is with us so we can operate like Jesus on earth; making disciples of all nations (Matt 28:18-20)
