Not My Rodrick is a podcast hosted by media fiends, Tara and Mikala. This is a place where we talk about what’s going on in TV, YouTube, internet culture and whatever else. Media defines our culture and how we all view the world, so let’s take a moment and talk about what we’re really watching and/or making. Each week we will be watching a series or movie which we will then analyze for its inclusivity, portrayal of minorities, direction, production value, and MORE. If you don’t know, “Not My Rodrick” comes into this from the historic hashtag that was trending on Twitter back in 2016. This was after the release of the cast list from the reboot, Diary of A Wimpy Kid movie. It was created in protest after a disappointing downgrade from the original actor portraying “Rodrick”. We want to bring this iconic phrase back to life, in place of a “smash or pass”. Join us to find out what is “Not My Rodrick”.
