The Lemond legacy is carried on through JoJo's oldest son: Newt, middle son: Gunnar, and his youngest daughter: Shaylee. JoJo's drive to be not only a good cowboys but an even better Dad and Husband is very evident, in how he describes his day to day operation. The best phrase to describe JoJo Lemond: Family man. On this week’s episode, Jay Winborn joins the show to address the new rule changes at the 2020 Metallic Cat Summer Cutting Spectacular. We discuss the mandatory stall rule, the back number rule, and the guys also have some other questions about the current state of the National Cutting Horse Association. The Section K Podcast is back, and so are horse shows! This week, Kaden and Cody are joined by Evan Moffitt, and new guest: Kody Porterfield to talk about The Non-Pro Plus the Open that was the first major cutting horse event after the shutdown, due to COVID-19. The guys talk about being back in the horse show atmosphere, Wesley Galyean's unbelievable 230 in the 5/6 Open finals, and even some possum hunting in the RV park. Chris talks about showing early in life in Appaloosa classes, which he feels is the reason for a lot of his success showing and training performance horses for multiple disciplines today. We have a special interview for you this week, with one of the hottest hands in the performance horse industry at this time: Adan Bañuelos of AB Performance Horses in Granbury, TX. Adan has been the leading money earning rider, over the last two show years (2018-2019) and has continued his streak of excellence in 2020. Adan is from a family of horsemen. Cutting is in his blood, and that is extremely evident in some of the anecdotes he shares on this episode.
On another Thursday evening edition of the Section K podcast, we talk about the dominating performance by team Beau Galyean Performance Horses, with Beau and Rodrigo both picking up championships at the Cattleman's. We also dig into the roll-back into the intermediate/limited rule that allows trainers to roll-back to those classes depending on earnings within the last few show years. We end the show talking about a cutting stud making a cameo in Yellowstone: season 3 on Paramount Network and a MLB pitcher, winning team-ropings under a fake name. A little bit of a delayed episode today, due to the Open 4 year old finals being held on Tuesday afternoon. This week: Kaden and CBL watch the 5/6 Open finals and react live to the unreal finals that took place in West Monroe on Monday evening. The second part of the show Cody Hedlund calls in live from the Ike Hamilton Event Center to break down the 4 year old finals and give his reaction to Super G and Rollz Royce marking a massive 229 for the victory, the night before!

Then we shift gears a little and discuss the sudden passing of the late, great, Kobe Bryant, his daughter and 7 others in a helicopter crash.
