La conferenza stampa di Federica Brignone, campionessa olimpica nel Super-G e nello slalom speciale, che si è tenuta a Casa Italia, a Cortina, lunedì 16 febbraio 2026.
We're revisiting one of our most meaningful conversations — with Olympic gold medalist, ski mom, and mental performance coach Barbara Cochran. Why now? On February 11, 1972, Barbara won Olympic gold in slalom in Sapporo by just .02 seconds. And 54 years to the day later, her son, Ryan Cochran-Siegle, won Olympic silver in Super-G in Cortina. An Olympic legacy — built on a Vermont rope tow.Barbara grew up skiing at her family's backyard hill, now known as Cochran's Ski Area — a nonprofit, community-driven mountain where lift tickets are still affordable, race training happens under the lights, and hot chocolate costs $1.50.We talk about:Growing up in a ski racing familyTraining on the legendary rope towThe “Cochran Way” philosophy of excellence without pressureRaising an Olympian as a single momAnd the mindset that wins medalsBarbara's father believed skiing should be joyful — but that striving for excellence builds character. Before sports psychology was mainstream, Barbara was practicing it. Heading into her Olympic race, she repeated:“I don't know if I'm going to win, but I know I'm capable of winning.”That mindset carried her to gold — and now informs her work helping athletes who “train better than they race” learn to compete with confidence. We also talk about the financial realities of ski racing, how Ryan nearly declined his U.S. Ski Team nomination due to cost, and Ski Haus makes it easy with custom boot fitting that actually changes how you ski and how you feel at the end of the day.
In this KE Report Company Update, we're joined by Craig Nicol, Founder and CEO of Graphene Manufacturing Group (TSX.V:GMG - OTCQX:GMGMF), for a detailed discussion on the company's recent developments - from patent milestones to global product rollout plans and revenue growth strategies. Key Discussion Highlights: Thermal XR Patent Approval (Australia): Craig explains the significance of GMG's newly granted patent for its Thermal-XR® graphene coating, which improves corrosion resistance and heat transfer in heat exchangers. This 20-year patent provides strong IP protection and is expected to pave the way for similar approvals in the U.S., Europe, and other regions. Expanding Global Reach: The company has launched its first multi-language, palletized product line for distributors, featuring G® Lubricant and Thermal XR®. With labeling in 16 languages, GMG is now positioned to sell across key international markets through an expanding distributor network. Go-to-Market Strategy: Craig outlines how GMG is focusing on scalable distribution - moving from bulk industrial customers to retail-ready formats that can reach global partners in the automotive, HVAC, and industrial maintenance sectors. These smaller, ready-to-ship packs will enable more consistent sales growth and global availability. Revenue Outlook: While fiscal 2025 revenue dipped slightly due to lumpy project sales, Craig emphasizes that upcoming palletized product distribution should drive more repeatable, diversified revenue streams. Upcoming Catalysts: Pending EPA approval for Thermal XR® in the U.S. Distributor rollout and initial palletized product orders Updates on Super-G and battery development progress Please keep the questions coming! My guest today had an incredible run with Club Med, working on and off from 1982 to 2009. He kicked off his first season as a Bar G.O. at Club Med Paradise Island—and beyond bartending, he also lent his talents to waterskiing, circus, and picnics. I had the pleasure of meeting him during my very first season, and he's here today to clear up a funny bit of confusion I had about him back then! A Florida State University alum with a business background, he even had the chance to hang out with David Lee Roth back in the day. Please welcome the one and only, Tony Love! Tony shares how he first discovered Club Med through a model friend who regularly did photo shoots at the resorts—and from there, takes us on a journey through his many unforgettable seasons. Tony recounts what it was like rubbing elbows with David Lee Roth of Van Halen at Club Med Paradise Island in 1982, as well as the fierce Olympic Day rivalries with a future Chief of Village at St. Lucia in 1992. Tony also reveals the origin story of the iconic “Super G.O.” t-shirt that he created and talks about the unofficial "Youth Hostel" he ran out of his place in Miami, offering a crash pad for any G.O. passing through town. Tony is a master storyteller, so you're in for a real treat. Enjoy the ride! **My First Season podcast has always been ad-free and free to listen to and is available to download on: Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Samsung Podcasts, Podbean App, Podchaser, Spotify, Amazon Music/Audible, TuneIn + Alexa, iHeartRadio, PlayerFM, Pandora, and Listen Notes. Do something that will create momentum, or simply drag you out of your current state of struggle. We also look at ways to remember that you have been doing amazing things. Things that a lot of people won't attempt. And, how you can use your experience to remind you that anything is possible. *** Be sure to stay tuned after the main podcast for an interview with one of our coaches, Jeremy Scherer. Topics: Injuries, niggles, anxiety, fear, and overcoming. We coach a WIDE range of athletes Endurance sports don't necessarily require a ton of “talent” Who can go to the next level? He was on the high school ski team in the winter racing slalom, giant slalom, and Super G, and played golf in the summers. He met his wife, Kim, at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. They lived in Michigan, Texas, and Indiana before deciding to head back home to Michigan. Most of his career has been spent in the finance and sales management industry. Like many triathletes, he signed up for a sprint triathlon at the urging of a friend. As soon as he crossed the finish line, he wanted to sign up for another one and see how much he could improve. He found that he enjoyed the challenge of improving, and looking to go longer. After a decade of racing triathlons (everything from sprint distance to full distance), ultra runs, bike races, and other events, he still relishes the challenge. But more importantly, he finds the friends and “family” he has met along the way to be the best thing about his endurance sports journey. He and his wife have three very active boys. They are in football, baseball, bowling, and more. During the summer, they like to spend time up north enjoying the lake. He also enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and getting together with friends and neighbors.
