The ASX 200 finished the week up 40 points to 8628 for a 70-odd point loss for the week. Banks were firm, CBA up 1.8% and WBC up 1.3% as the Big Bank Basket rose to $274.68(+1.3%). MQG rose 1.5% despite a $35m fine for reporting short sellers. Insurers better. Financials generally better too. ZIP up 3.3% and CGF rising 3.1%. REITs gained slightly as CHC jumped 2.3% and GMG up 0.5%. Tech was a winner today, something we haven't seen for a while. WTC up 3.2% and XRO rising 2.3%. The All -Tech Index rose 1.5%. The legality of the working hours done by the Shannon unit of the Coast Guard has been questioned in an Oireachtas Committee. Since, Bristow Ireland took over the contract from CHC, workers completing a 24-hour shift have been required to sleep on-site during breaks, rather than going home. Now, however, unless crews are tasked during expected rest time, their shifts will only be logged as 16.5 hours long, with Coast Guard personnel only allowed to work a maximum of 2,000 hours per year. Speaking in the Oireachtas Transport Committee, Clare Fianna Fáil TD Cathal Crowe says the practice is artificially lowering employee work time.

Zachariáš 5,1-11 1 Znovu som zodvihol zrak, pozrel som a videl som letiaci zvitok. 2 Spýtal sa ma: „Čo vidíš?“ Odpovedal som: „Vidím letiaci zvitok, jeho dĺžka je dvadsať lakťov a šírka desať lakťov.“ 3 Povedal mi: „To je kliatba, ktorá vychádza na celú krajinu; každý zlodej a každý, kto krivo prisahá, ňou bude odtiaľto odstránený. 4 Vyvediem ju,“ znie výrok Hospodina zástupov, „vojde do domu zlodeja a do domu toho, kto krivo prisahá v mojom mene; usadí sa v jeho dome a úplne ho zničí — jeho trámy aj jeho kamene.“ 5 Potom vyšiel anjel, ktorý hovoril so mnou, a povedal mi: „Zodvihni zrak a pozri, čo to vychádza!“ 6 Spýtal som sa: „Čo je to?“ Odpovedal: „To sa ukazuje efa.“ A pokračoval: „To je zjav celej krajiny.“ 7 Vtom sa zdvihla olovená pokrievka a jedna žena sedela uprostred efy. 8 Povedal: „Toto je bezbožnosť.“ Sotil ju do efy a jej otvor zakryl oloveným poklopom. 9 Zodvihol som zrak, pozrel som a videl som prichádzať dve ženy: vietor im dvíhal krídla — mali totiž krídla podobné krídlam bociana —, zdvihli efu medzi zem a nebo. 10 Vtedy som sa spýtal anjela, ktorý hovoril so mnou: „Kam berú tú efu?“ 11 Odpovedal mi: „Chcú jej postaviť dom v krajine Šinár. Keď ho pripravia, tam ju položia na jej podstavec.“ Zvláštne videnia – varovanie pre hriešnikov. Dnes tu máme šieste a siedme videnie „malého“ proroka Zachariáša. To šieste nám hovorí o tvrdom treste (úplné zničenie ich domov) pre zlodejov a tých, čo zneužívajú meno Božie. Ide o prekročenie dvoch Božích prikázaní, pričom je každé z inej dosky zákona: „Nebudeš brať meno Hospodina, svojho Boha, nadarmo; lebo Hospodin nenechá bez trestu toho, kto Jeho meno zneužije!“ – to je napísané na prvej tabuli, teda ide o náš vzťah voči Bohu. Boží Syn tieto prvé prikázania zhrnul do jedného – ako to „veľké a prvé prikázanie: Milovať budeš Pána, svojho Boha, celým srdcom, celou dušou a celou mysľou“ (Mt 22,37-38). Naproti tomu „Nepokradneš“ je z druhej tabule zákona, ktorá sa týka našich povinností voči človeku. Pán Ježiš Kristus (aj apoštol Pavol) tieto stručne zhrnul takto: „Miluj blížneho ako seba samého“ (Lk 10,27; Rim 13,9). Preto je možné, že aj tieto dve skupiny hriešnikov (zlodeji a krivoprísažníci) nám symbolicky ukazujú na náš celkový nedostatok lásky voči Bohu a ľuďom. Je ešte zaujímavé, že ten letiaci zvitok má presne také rozmery, aké mala predsieň pred chrámom (1Kral 6,3). Akoby nám aj to pripomínalo, že tá hrozba trestu prichádza priamo od Boha. Berme ju preto vážne. – – Podobne rieši Boh v siedmom videní aj vinu celej krajiny – bezbožnosť. Modlitba: Odpusť mi, Pane náš, že bez Tvojej pomoci nedokážem plniť ani to Tvoje veľké a prvé prikázanie o neobmedzenej láske voči Tebe, ani to druhé podobné – milovať svojho blížneho ako seba. Ty sám mi prosím pomôž, aby moja láska k Tebe i blížnemu bola taká, akú ju Ty chceš mať. Vďaka, že si na kríži zaplatil plnú cenu aj za všetky moje hriechy. Tvoj Svätý Duch ma preto iste rád naplní všetkým, čo by si u mňa rád mal. Amen. Jak udowodnić, że coś nie istnieje? Udowodnić, że coś istnieje też nie jest łatwo. Paręnaście lat temu, mówiłem o tym, pewien Kanadyjczyk został uznany za zmarłego przez pomyłkę. I chciał udowodnić, że żyje, że po prostu jest. Przyszedł do urzędu i mówi, że żyje. Może pan i żyje, ale u nas w dokumentach stoi, że nie. A co jest ważniejsze nasze, urzędowe dokumenty, czy rzeczywistość? Wracaj chłopie do grobu i rób bałaganu w dokumentach – tak mniej więcej wyglądał rozmowa. W końcu, poszedł do ichniego urzędu skarbowego i mówi oto jestem, ecce homo powiedział wskazując na siebie. Chcę znów płacić podatki. A Skarbówa na to: aa, jesteś. Ale on udowadniał urzędowi, że coś jest, konkretnie on. A jak udowodnić, że coś nie istnieje? Przed takim problemem stanęła nasza słuchaczka Marysia. Chciała zagospodarować nabytą przez nią działkę, na której nie ma lasu, ale w urzędowych dokumentach sprzed 25 lat las jest. Sprawa trwa 5 lat, były dwie wizje lokalne i Marysia dalej się buja z udowodnieniem, że lasu już dawno nie ma. Stoimy zatem przed filozoficznym problemem: jak udowodnić, że coś nie istnieje?

Ludzie, nie tylko starsi, nie są w stanie odróżnić, co jest syntetyczne, a co nagrane w naszym świecie– zauważył.Sytuację pogorszyło pojawienie się nowych, bardzo zaawansowanych generatorów wideo.Nowe narzędzia sprawiły, że granica już praktycznie się zatarła. Jesteśmy zalewani filmami, których nie da się odróżnić od rzeczywistości– mówił ekspert.Według Świdra prawo istnieje, ale nie jest egzekwowane, a internet pozostaje globalny i pełen treści tworzonych poza UE, czyli poza unijnym nadzorem.„Amerykanie lobbowali, żeby złagodzić AI Act. Chcą, żeby Big Tech zarabiał u nas na danych”Kolejna część rozmowy dotyczyła presji ze strony USA, które mają duży wpływ na kierunek polityki europejskiej.Pojawiły się informacje, że Amerykanie bardzo mocno lobbują, aby niektórych zapisów AI Act nie implementować, niektóre wycofać, inne złagodzić. Chodzi o to, żeby Big Techy mogły bardzo łatwo wejść na europejski rynek i zarabiać na naszych danych– zaznaczał. Jak tłumaczył Świder, Big Techy robią to z prostego powodu: zyski z AI będą kosmiczne.Big Tech zarabia na chaosie. Dr Świder opowiadał o własnych doświadczeniach – prowadząc profil z 100 tys. obserwujących, stał się celem masowych wyłudzeń i kradzieży wizerunku.Powstają profile, które kopiują moje zdjęcia, moje posty i kontaktują się z moimi odbiorcami. To zjawisko masowe – przez kilka lat powstało około 200–300 takich kont– stwierdził gość Magdaleny Uchaniuk.Według Świdra technicznie można byłoby łatwo te fałszywe konta blokować, ale Big Tech nie ma interesu, by to robić.„To walka z wiatrakami. Najważniejsza jest ostrożność”Świder podkreślał, że zgłaszanie profili niczego nie rozwiązuje, bo pojawiają się nowe. Wskazuje na brak skutecznych narzędzi państw – oszuści działają z krajów poza UE i bez trudu ukrywają lokalizację.To jest bardzo trudne do ścigania. Najwięcej mogłaby zrobić Unia, ale jeśli zależymy od USA pod względem bezpieczeństwa, to Amerykanie mają ogromną siłę przetargową– ocenił. Dlatego podkreśla, że „dzisiaj najważniejsza linia obrony to ostrożność użytkownika; sprawdzać profile, nazwy, liczbę obserwujących, bo inne mechanizmy zawodzą.”Zapytany o sytuację w Polsce, Świder przyznaje wprost, że "tego typu oszustwa są bardzo trudne do znalezienia, ponieważ wiele działań jest prowadzonych spoza Europy, przez VPN-y, mafia działa globalnie.Podaje przykład Turcji:„Turcja wyłączyła Instagram na trzy dni i wymusiła dostosowanie algorytmów. Da się. Ale w Europie byłoby to trudne politycznie.”Wniosek jest gorzki: UE była nadzieją na silne regulacje, ale USA i Big Techy skutecznie rozmywają przepisy, a Europa staje się jedynie „rynkiem do zarabiania”.

The ASX 200 gave up its strong start to close up 70 points to 8607 as the higher-than-expected CPI number took the top off things. It was a monthly number, so can be more volatile, but 3.8% was above RBA and economist's expectations. Banks were mixed with CBA steady as NAB and WBC dipped down. The Big Bank Basket rose to $266.89 (+0.1%). MQG had a good day, up 2.8% and wealth managers also pushed ahead, HUB up 1.9% and NWL up 1.3%. Insurers mildly positive, SUN up 0.8% with REITs mixed, GMG up 1.3% but elsewhere losses as bond yields pushed higher. SCG off 0.5% and CHC down 0.4%. Industrials were firm, WES up 1.9% with retail surprisingly strong, JBH up 1.0% and APE rising 1.4% with TPW crashing 32.3% on a trading update. Fast food also better, GYG and DMP doing well, Travel stocks also better, WEB up 3.4% and FLT gaining 2.3%. Tech stocks continue to stumble around, WTC down 1.2% and XRO off 0.1% with TNE falling 2.8%.  The All-Tech Index steady.In resources, iron ore stocks pushed higher, BHP up 2.0% and FMG up 2.4% with gold miners shrugging off early weakness to push higher, VAUDA did well, up 6.5% after the hedge book news, lithium stocks exploded, PLS up 7.2%and MIN up 3.0% with oil and gas better and small gains in uranium.In corporate news, Brookfield lobbed a bid for NSR at 286c. That is three bids this week. Debutante SEA rose 12.5% after a $20m IPO. EOS jumped 3.6% after a court penalty and DRO was up 8.5% again after its recent order.On the economic front, as above, the CPI was higher than expected at 3.8%. Chalmers and Bullock not happy.Asian markets were firm, although Taiwan in focus on fears of further Chinese aggression.10-year yields rose to 4.53% on CPI. AUD rose too.UK Budget today. Good comeback after a near 50 point fall this morning.  Some signs of confidence returning with banks seeing a resumption of the sell CBA, buy the other three switch. The Big Bank Basket fell to $272.47 (-0.4%) as CBA dropped 1.0%. MQG ex-dividend today, down 2.3% with financials slightly firmer, QBE up 0.5% and HUB up 2.7% with NWL gaining. REITs firmed, GMG up 0.5% and CHC up 1.7% with industrials finding their feet, LNW up 3.3% with WTC up 1.2% although XRO fell another 0.1%. Retailers firmed, UNI up 1.7% and PMV up 2.1% with DMP gaining another 5.1%. GYG continue to fall, down 1.8%. Healthcare eased back, RMD under pressure off 2.1%, CSL down 0.8% and SHL slipping 1.5%. Resources were mixed, BHP fell 0.6% on the UK court ruling, RIO and FMG both better on higher iron ore prices in Asia, lithium staged a comeback, PLS up 3.7% and IGO rising 0.9%. LYC also bounced 5.5% with gold miners mixed. No significant damage done. GMD up 2.5% on a broker upgrade. Energy stocks all better, WDS up 0.9% and ALD rising 3.8%. IPX fell 3.0% after a return to trade following a report from Spruce Capital.PME jumped 4.2% on another $44m deal with Advanced Radiology. Some management changes, RHC rose 1.8% on a new CFO, MSB rallied 5.0% on a new CFO too with FPR better on an acquisition. ELD gained 6.3% on better than expected results.Nothing locally on the economic front. RBA board member wrote a column on the RBA mandate.
