Despite all of his achievements, Lomachenko ultimately became a divisive figure among fight fans, particularly in America. Un kāda ir diplomātijas loma šodien un vēsturē? Kā notiek sarunas visaugstākajā līmenī un kā šo sarunu iznākums ietekmēs mūsu nākotni? "Diplomātijas ieguvums ir tajā brīdī, kad neviens nejūtas kā zaudētājs, ka katrs kaut ko no tā iegūst," atzīst Žaneta Ozoliņa. "Ja skatāmies kādus diplomātiskos panākumus vēsturiski, laikam tāds visklasiskākais piemērs ir Kubas krīze 1962. gadā, kad Aukstā kara apstākļos ļoti tuvu Padomju Savienība un ASV bija kodolkonfliktam, bet gan augstākā līmenī, gan arī diplomātiskā līmenī, kur, starp citu, ļoti aktīvi darbojās diplomāti no abām pusēm, tika panākta vienošanās un faktiski šis potenciālais kodolkonflikts tika novērsts. Tajā pašā laikā ieguvēji bija abi - gan Padomju Savienībā, gan arī faktiski Amerikas Savienotās Valstis. Tas bija saistīts ar raķešu izvākšanu no Turcijas un Kubas." "Domāju, ka diezgan liels sasniegums bija arī Parīzes klimata vienošanās 2015. gadā, un tas ir savukārt piemērs tā saucamajai multilaterālajai vai daudzpusējai diplomātijai, ka valstis kopīgi, praktiski gandrīz visas pasaules valstis, tajā brīdī akceptēja šo klimata pārmaiņu radīto ietekmi uz pasauli un vienojās strādāt pie klimata pārmaiņu dažādu pasākumu ieviešanas savās valstīs, lai mazinātu negatīvās sekas," turpina Žaneta Ozoliņa. "Bet es gribētu pieminēt vēl vienu piemēru. Faktiski, ja mēs skatāmies uz Latvijas sarunām un šo pakāpenisko iestāšanās procesu Eiropas Savienībā un NATO, es domāju, ka šeit arī ir ļoti daudz tādu labu piemēru, kur ar pārliecināšanu, arī ar sabiedroto palīdzību ir izdevies panākt labu rezultātu." Pētniece norāda, ka notikumu attīstība no 1997. gada, kad Latvijai atteica dalību šajās organizācijās, līdz 2002. gadam, kad jau iestāšanās sarunas noslēdzās, nebūtu bijusi iespējama bez diplomātu ļoti smaga un pamatīga darba. Protams, būtu pārspīlēti teikt, ka to izdarīja vienīgi diplomāti.
Kā funkcionēja tiesu sistēma totalitārā režīmā un ko ar šo padomju mantojumu izdarīja 90. gados? Viens no aizvadītā gada Latvijas Zinātņu akadēmijas atzītajiem pētījumiem ir profesores Daigas Rezevskas tiesību teorija. Skaidrojam, kāda bija tiesiskuma loma vēsturē un kāda tā ir mūsdienās demokrātiskā sabiedrībā. Stāsta Latvijas Universitātes Juridiskā fakultātes profesore, tiesību zinātnes doktore Daiga Rezevska. Saruna ar pētnieci izskanēja arī raidījumā Labrīt. Liecības par mantošanas vēsturi Latvijā Mantošanas tiesības gadsimtu gaitā, no vienas puses, mainījušās pamatīgi, bet, no otras puses, tās saglabājušas visai nemainīgu kodolu. Lai kādi laiki būtu, nemainīgas palikušas arī ar mantojumu saistītās ķildas. Kādas ir senākās liecības par mantošanas vēsturi Latvijā, ko varēja mantot sievietes un vai arī jaunākie bērni varēja kļūt par mantiniekiem? Mantošanas vēstures pēdas varam samanīt jau antīkās pasaules laikos - grieķu un romiešu kultūrā -, un šie pamati saglabājušies līdz mūsu dienām. Šoreiz skatu vēršam tieši uz Baltijas tiesību telpu, tātad arī Latviju, un skaidrojam mantošanas tiesību pirmsākumus mūsu teritorijā. Kādi avoti sniedz liecības par mantošanas kārtību sākotnēji un pārmaiņām laika gaitā? Stāsta Latvijas Universitātes Juridiskās fakultātes profesors Jānis Lazdiņš. Profesors vispirms ieskicē to, kas zināms par rakstītajām jeb pozitīvajām tiesībām. Fakts, ka mantojuma saraksta augšgalā parasti ir vecākais dēls, ir diezgan nostiprinājies priekšstats. Tāpēc Jānim Lazdiņam vaicāju, vai arī jaunākais bērns varēja izvirzīties priekšplānā un būt pirmais mantinieks. Profesors norāda, ka liela nozīme tam, par kuru laika posmu runājam. Ja skatāmies pēc pozitīvajām tiesībām no baltu un līvu zemes vai zemnieku tiesībām, tad tur netiek izdalīts ne vecākais, ne jaunākais bērns. Skandalozas prāvas tieši par mantošanas tiesībām Baltijā īsti nav zināmas. Skaidrs ir tas - kur mantošana, tur notiek strīdi neatkarīgi no kārtas un mantojuma apjoma. Varbūt, ja mūsu zemē būtu valdījuši karaļi un hercogi, tad mantojumu skandāli mums būtu labāk zināmi. Tā ir vēsture ģeoloģijai, vēsture laikam jau no 50. gadiem pagājušajā gadsimtā, kur viņš savās izjūtas un emocijās par savu dzīvi stāstot, parāda šo posmu no sava skatupunkta," atzīst Vija Hodireva.
