Do you know someone who believes themselves to be appointed by God to save the world? Do they claim to hold the ultimate authority on Truth and Goodness? Do they believe that they (and they alone) have all the answers to all of mankind's problems? Have you ever experienced some of these feelings yourself? In this discourse episode, we discuss the "Messiah Complex". Some highlights include: -How it originates and how to avoid adopting the complex yourself, -Whether or not a messiah can be recognized as such -The nature of arrogance and narcissism -How to can grow and integrate some of these negatively charged self-delusions that seem to riddle even the most intelligent individuals. In this book review we discuss "DMT and The Soul of Prophecy", Rick Strassman's follow up to "DMT the Spirit Molecule", in which he tackles the major unresolved issues left behind after finishing the DMT project 20+ years ago. In this text, he attempts to find a model that fit the data from the original volunteers' reports of the psychedelic-induced state. This ultimately led him to the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) where the notion of a “prophetic state of consciousness” began taking shape. DISCLAIMERS: Our intention behind each of these episodes is mainly to unpack some of the general ideas within the text that pertain to The Archive's philosophy, rather than to solely "review" or critique the text. We also do not advocate the use of drugs in any way. In this episode we discuss Disney's decision to fire Gina Carano, an actress/ ex MMA fighter from her role in hit series, "The Mandalorian". Cancel culture, hypocrisy, post modernism. These are far more than just buzzwords that we enjoy using. Where is the West headed? Will the new paradigm of dissolution, separation, division, and destruction of "antiquated" ideas and social constructs lead us to a Utopia of peace, love, and unity? In our very first Union of Opposites episode, we compare old paradigm religion and dogmatism with the New Age movement. Although we touch on many things in these episodes, they are not meant to flesh out the histories or every nuance relating to the given topics. Our intention is to find a practical way to adopt principles from polarized ideologies or world views, and to demonstrate how two oppositely charged ideas or philosophies might be held simultaneously, so we might truly evolve in the way we feel, behave, and interact with the world around us. -

In this episode we engage in an epistemological discussion highlighting some differences between knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, as well as how we come to interface with them via our personal experience. We also explore fun questions such as: - Can we know or understand something that we have not experienced? - Is it OK to preach wisdom that you never practice? - Should we pay any serious attention to the ideas of hypocrites? - Is there value to be gained from a person's ideas/philosophies even if that person is malevolent?
