Guest: Mary Anastasia O'Grady. O'Grady criticizes Brazilian Justice de Moraes for arbitrary rulings on free speech and transgender laws, alongside corruption allegations involving his wife and a bank.
John is joined by Christopher L. Eisgruber, President of Princeton University and author of Terms of Respect: How Colleges Get Free Speech Right. They discuss the state of free speech on university campuses. While public perception often emphasizes crisis and failure, many institutions are upholding speech rights more effectively than they are credited for. The broad constitutional principles of free expression, protecting even offensive or unsettling speech, are a good starting place for academic environments. However, these principles alone are insufficient. Universities must also foster a culture of mutual respect, encouraging civil discourse and meaningful dialogue even amid disagreement. Some of the specific challenges universities face in the current polarized political climate include the impact of the Israel–Gaza conflict, protests, donor pressures, and calls for institutional statements. Institutions must balance their commitment to free expression with efforts to elevate discourse and promote inclusive learning environments. Chris believes that university leaders should not use censorship as a tool to enforce civility. Instead, they should model and promote norms of respectful engagement.Online culture has intensified the scrutiny of campus speech. Events that once remained local can now gain global attention instantly, raising the stakes for how universities manage protests and controversy. Students today often self-censor due to fears of online backlash, which complicates efforts to foster open exchanges of ideas.A tension exists between scholarly standards and political identity in faculty hiring. While Chris acknowledges there is an ideological imbalance in American universities, he believes that hiring decisions should prioritize scholarly excellence and viewpoint diversity within academic norms, rather than political quotas. John and Chris also discuss how and when university leaders should speak publicly on societal issues. While university presidents should not weigh in on every political controversy, there are moments, particularly when institutional values are at stake, when silence is not tenable. The goal is to preserve the university as a space for rigorous, inclusive, and respectful exploration of ideas.Podcast Link: Law-disrupted.fmHost: John B. There is a strange ritual in America. A man buys a jersey with another man's name on the back, a man he has never met, and then proceeds to argue with strangers about that man's greatness as if he raised him from birth. We understand this in sports. It is tribal. It is harmless. But now we've taken the jersey mentality and strapped it to politics.Enter Bad Bunny.Bad Bunny was selected for success, likely by a cabal. STARMER SHOULD APOLOGISE — NOT SIR JIM RATCLIFFE #Starmer #SirJimRatcliffe #IllegalMigration#Brexit #BorderChaos #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #Live #LiveShow #UKPolitics Let's get this straight from the off. Keir Starmer has got some cheek. Some brass neck. The man who never apologises suddenly wants one from Jim Ratcliffe? You couldn't make it up. Starmer — Mr Flip-Flop, Mr U-Turn, Mr "I Didn't Really Mean That" — is now posing as the nation's moral referee. Fifteen U-turns. Fifteen. On policy, principle, and promises. Has he apologised once? Has he heck. Not to pensioners. Not to voters. Not to the people he's taken for mugs. And while he's busy wagging his finger at Sir Jim, let's talk about the apology Britain actually deserves. Because the entire political class — Labour, Tory, the lot of them — owe the British people a massive apology for the abject failure on illegal migration. Years of chaos. Billions wasted. Borders that exist in name only. And what do we get? Lectures. Excuses. And being told we're wrong for noticing. Sir Jim didn't say anything outrageous. He said what millions of people are thinking but Westminster is too frightened to admit. People are fed up. Fed up of being ignored. Fed up of being patronised. Fed up of being told to shut up and accept it. Immigration. Brexit. National sovereignty. These aren't fringe obsessions — they're the issues voters keep shouting about while politicians stick their fingers in their ears. And here's the bit that really rattles them: the polls are coming. The next set will show it again. Ordinary Brits aren't buying the spin anymore. They don't want apologies demanded from businessmen who speak plainly — they want accountability from politicians who never do. So no, Sir Jim doesn't owe the country an apology. Keir Starmer does. And until he finds the courage to say sorry — properly, honestly, and without a lawyered-up script — he might want to stop lecturing the rest of us about decency. Because people are watching. People are angry. And this time, they're not being ignored. Leftists take pride in talking down America. It's clear in everything they go.It's sinister, when you consider the number of fronts they attack. For example, the Super Bowl.I'm not dwelling on the Super Bowl, because I know that's what the Left wants. Everything they attack is for a much bigger reason than stated.Democrats are fawning over Bad Bunny. And you have to ask yourself why? The guy is disgusting. He's not the second coming of Elvis or the Beatles. In fact, I will make you a bet that BB will be a nobody very soon. He will be the covid of performers, with people hardly caring about him.But whatever promise he has, why would the NFL hire him? The Kaepernick people. They just got their audience back, and I'm not even sure why because they didn't earn it. They remain “woke”, as the hiring of BB more than suggests.Megyn Kelly questioned the decision in an interview with Piers Morgan. She asked why have an entertainer who does a show all in Spanish? DO MPs REALLY WORK FOR US – OR JUST THEMSELVES? #PMQs #KeirStarmer #KemiBadenoch #UKPolitics #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV PMQs today wasn't politics — it was a slanging match in a circus. While millions are skint, scared, and angry, MPs were back in their natural habitat: shouting, sneering and doing absolutely nothing useful. No serious focus on the cost-of-living crisis. No urgency on public safety. No answers people can actually use. Instead, in the Commons, Kemi Badenoch accused the Prime Minister of "stuffing government with paedophile apologists" And what did the country get in response from Starmer? Evasion. Silence. Lawyer's answers to moral questions. This is why trust in politics is dead. This is why people feel unrepresented. And this is why voters increasingly believe MPs are in it for themselves — not the people who pay their wages. Tonight we ask the question MPs hate: Do they work for us — or are they just feeding at the trough? Live. Interactive. No manners. What happens when three people with completely different identities and perspectives speak up in the same room, each saying they don't feel safe? In this episode, Raj Vinnakota shares a powerful moment from a university auditorium where tension was thick, fear was real, and the stakes couldn't have been higher. He unpacks what it actually takes to create spaces on campus (and in everyday life) where people with deeply different views can stay present, curious, and human. We're all in the same boat. The question is: how do we stay in it together? ABOUT GUEST Raj Vinnakota is the president of the Institute for Citizens and Scholars (https://citizensandscholars.org/). Idaho was the first state to slap a slogan on a license plate, “Idaho Potatoes,” which may not seem like a big deal, but it turns out this idea would end up having outsized consequences, and not just for Idaho. Because what started in one state would soon spread. And when it did, the question of what should go on a license plate, and what shouldn't, would prove surprisingly contentious. Jenin Younes rose to prominence on the right by defending medical professionals like Jay Bhattacharya who claimed that they were being censored over opposition to vaccination and masking mandates. Younes worked for the New Civil Liberties Alliance, a group described as libertarian, and appeared at events with the Federalist Society. As the political winds have shifted, she says that the Trump Administration's attacks on free speech are worse than anything that she saw during the Biden Administration. Younes is currently the national legal director for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. David Remnick speaks with her about her unlikely trajectory and about how her commitment to free speech—regardless of which side of the aisle the issue arises from—has left her in a uniquely lonely political position. New episodes of The New Yorker Radio Hour drop every Tuesday and Friday. Join host David Remnick as he discusses the latest in politics, news, and current events in conversation with political leaders, newsmakers, innovators, New Yorker staff writers, authors, actors, and musicians.
I look at the news feed daily and for hours. I see how easy it is to get disgusted. Leftism is rampant. There are far too many of us willing to speak up about it, and then ACT on it.And there is SO much out there.Bad parenting, bad teachers, bad role models…I didn't discuss the Super Bowl yesterday, because I didn't watch it. I did watch the TPUSA halftime show just to give my support for Charlie's team.I heard much about the Super Bowl after the fact. For example, John Kasich former governor of OH loved the halftime show with Bad Bunny.I read the lyrics to one of his songs, and I'm not sure how this person won a Grammy and was allowed to perform at the Super Bowl.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
You can believe little of what you see when it comes to Leftism, Leftists, etc…Take for example the so-called racist video the Left say President Trump posted. It was nothing close to what really happened, and Democrats know it. Still, they immediately branded him a fascist. The stunt backfired, as Trump lost NO ground. But it's not just Leftists for whom Conservatives must beware. Because there are many Leftists posing as conservatives. The Conservative movement is full of deceitful people, profiteering on the naïve. Candace Owens has been outed, as has MTG. And now we get Steve Bannon. Each of these people represents how Leftism works. Leftism is selfish, self-serving, and worships the god of idolatry. Every Leftist either openly or secretly wants the spotlight and all the accoutrements that come from it, particularly power.Consider other so-called Republicans, like Ana Navarro, Joe Scarborough, Michael Steel, and many others.Steve Bannon was no exception. He a con man. And I said this when I did an interview with him at a CPAC a few years back. We were discussing the situation in the Black community, and Bannon's comments had all the markings of a Leftist.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Conservative, not bitter—my friends, today's Toddcast tackles a disturbing trend: American Olympic athletes publicly expressing shame about representing the United States. Todd reacts to comments from Team USA skier Hunter Hess and others, responding to President Trump's blunt criticism and the media's predictable framing. This episode dives deep into patriotism, free speech, law enforcement, immigration enforcement, and why loving your country doesn't mean pretending it's perfect. Todd contrasts modern anti-American sentiment with the historical reality of America as a force for good in the world, from the Cold War to the founding principles rooted in God-given rights. You may disagree—but you won't leave confused about where Todd stands. Proudly American. Always.
In this episode, Ghost digs into a deeply unsettling domestic story with global implications: the discovery of an illegal biolab operating out of Las Vegas, its connections to a previous California case, and the foreign nationals tied to both. He breaks down what was found, how authorities responded, and why the lack of national media coverage raises serious questions. From there, the conversation shifts to the erosion of free speech, examining testimony from a White House religious liberty hearing and the growing push to label political dissent as hate speech. Ghost challenges the expanding definitions being used to police opinion and belief, and what that means for Americans going forward. The episode then moves overseas as Ghost analyzes rising tensions in the Middle East, including Israel's actions in Gaza and the West Bank, Netanyahu's visit to Washington, and the broader geopolitical consequences taking shape across the region. This is a wide-ranging, no-holds-barred look at power, narrative control, and the collisions forming on the global stage.

This wasn't leadership. This was pure self-preservation. These morally bankrupt MPs weren't backing Starmer — they were backing their own snouts staying firmly in the trough. And while they clapped like trained seals, Starmer still hasn't delivered the documents he promised last week explaining how the vetting process cleared Mandelson. Who approved it? How? On what grounds? Silence. Now ministers are being warned not to "do a Wes Streeting" — no more cosy texts, no more receipts, no more evidence. Keep it quiet. Keep it buried. Nothing to see here. Let's play “Spot the Desperation”. It's an easy game. Just listen to Democrats discuss any topic, and see if you can…spot the desperation.Trump is a racist, again. This time because of a video that depicted Democrats as animals. Democrats jumped at the chance to paint Trump as a racist, when the Obamas were depicted as apes. Trump didn't play the video, but it play AFTER a video that Trump's team did play. The hoopla over the incident lasted exactly 1 minute and 13 seconds, before it lost steam.Hakeem Jeffries wanted to make sure to register his dismay at President Trump doing nothing, and dropped an f-bomb in one of his comments. Dollar Store Obama is worse than Joe Biden when it comes to acting tough. After the “Trump is racist” tactic failed, Democrats moved on to criticize Trump RX. Lifelong grifters like Elizabeth Warren who championed for lower prescription drug prices poopooed on Trump RX calling it a “Trump vanity project”. How can we have too much free speech? And should everyone have access to large platforms to express increasingly outrageous and unbridled opinions? That was what I was asking in this conversation in the context of the infamous Tucker Carlson interview with avowed Nazi sympathizer Nick Fuentes. Why platform him and extend his audience four times beyond what he otherwise would have? And given that the emotional fragility of many in this moment might incite someone listening to act out in some manner? And while my guest, Dr. Chloe Carmichael, a clinical psychologist, and author of “Can I Say That” finds his remarks detestable, as well, she holds the view that free expression, when suppressed, leads to greater psychological problems in the process. It’s an interesting discussion. I paraphrase a lawyer who questioned Sen. Joseph McCarthy, during his Red Scare moment, in the 1950’s asking the question ‘have you no decency, sir.’ The lack of civility and restraint now occupies the speaker’s corner in America and in an era of social media the amplification of it is very loud and unsettling. And while the First Amendment is often cited as giving me the right to say anything I want, it refers specifically to the government’s inability to suppress that speech. Your employer can do it. Owners of professional teams can throw you out of the stadium for being obnoxious. Perhaps mom had the right idea. If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything at all. Mr. President, are you listening?
FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageFeeling overwhelmed isn't a personal flaw; it's often the predictable outcome of how we've redesigned childhood and campus life. We trace the surge in teen anxiety and sadness to safetyism—the belief that emotional safety should trump all other goods—and show how that lens reshaped parenting, schooling, and university culture. When we treat discomfort as harm and words as danger, we smother the very friction that builds judgment, courage, and resilience. We walk through how overprotective parenting quietly removed unstructured play, risk, and negotiated conflict, leaving kids with fewer chances to fail, regroup, and try again. We look at the role families, faith communities, and civic groups play in giving young people identity and duty, and what's lost when those institutions weaken. Then we tackle the 24/7 pressures of smartphones and social media—comparison, outrage, and performance—along with a therapeutic framing in education that trains students to scan language for threats instead of weighing ideas on evidence. On campus, we connect these trends to call-out culture, speaker disinvitations, and the rise of bureaucracies that police expression. A university that treats offense as injury can't perform its core mission: stretching minds with hard questions and unpopular arguments. The solution isn't more programs; it's recovering proven practices. We share concrete steps: restore unstructured play, coach rather than rescue, delay social media, keep phones out of bedrooms, and set device-free meals. For universities, reaffirm robust free speech, enforce rules against shout downs while protecting peaceful protest, and shrink administrative sprawl that chills inquiry. The throughline is simple: strength over safetyism, formation over perpetual therapy, free speech over the emotional veto. Prepare kids for life rather than shielding them from it, and demand institutions that challenge rather than coddle. If this resonates, tap follow, share it with a friend who cares about kids and campuses, and leave a quick review with your biggest takeaway—what's the first norm you'll change?Key Points from the Episode: rising teen sadness, anxiety and self-harm linked to cultural shifts• safetyism replaces resilience as the top value• speech reframed as harm on campuses• soft authoritarianism crowds out debate and inquiry• overprotective parenting reduces risk and free play• weakened families, faith, and civic groups thin identity and duty• smartphones and social media amplify comparison and outrage• therapeutic framing turns conflict into trauma language• practical fixes for home, school, and tech norms• universities recommit to robust free speech and due process• build character through service, challenge and mentoringBe sure to check out our show page at teammojoacademy.com, where we have everything we discussed in this podcast as well as other great resourcesOther resources: Want to leave a review? Trump's return to power didn't fracture GOP donors, it consolidated them. Whatever corporate media fantasy existed about “donor fatigue” collapsed under the reality of 2025. Republican donors are not confused. They're not hedging. They're not waiting to see how things shake out. They're funding outcomes. This is why the RNC could build reserves instead of debt. It's why Democrats had to borrow to keep the lights on.And when the money falters, distraction becomes policy.Enter the street chaos.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
STARMER SHOULD HE STAY OR GO? McSWEENEY RESIGNS! #Starmer #UKPolitics #PatMcFadden #MorganMcSweeney #Resignation #PeterMandelson #Epstein #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #JonGauntTV BREAKING: Morgan McSweeney has resigned. Another senior figure gone. Another fall guy exits the stage. And once again, the same question refuses to go away: how many people have to walk before the buck finally stops with the boss? Earlier today Pat McFadden was out defending the Prime Minister, urging calm and insisting this is all being overblown. But tonight, that defence looks weaker by the hour. Because Keir Starmer didn't just inherit these problems — he made the appointments, he trusted the judgement, and he signed off the decisions. Now one of his closest operators has gone. So let's be honest: If advisers fall on their sword… If senior figures resign… If reputations are sacrificed… Surely the buck stops with Starmer. Let's also restate the uncomfortable fact everyone keeps dancing around: Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted sex offender. That is not opinion. That is public record. So why were associations waved through? Why were warning signs ignored? And why are we still being told this is all about how difficult Donald Trump is to deal with? That excuse is wearing thin. And one final question the media still won't touch: should the three months' salary taken after being fired be paid back — or do the rules simply not apply at the top? This isn't gossip. It's about judgement. It's about standards. And it's about leadership. Tonight, you decide.
Ilhan Omar's political career has always relied on two things: grievance amplification and bloc manipulation. The only thing that changed is the branding. Where the traditional Black Leftist playbook once dominated, Omar localized it, substituting Somali identity politics into the same grievance machine. It worked, until it didn't. Her power was predicated on a national Democratic regime that no longer exists in the form she needed. When Biden collapsed under his own party's weight and Kamala Harris lost, Omar's ladder snapped. That matters because her long-term strategy wasn't Congress. It was inevitability. A coalition presidency. A moral shield built from identity politics so thick that questions themselves could be framed as crimes. That future died quietly. And when futures die, politicians panic. Now place that panic next to Georgia.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
You can usually find common ground with almost anyone. Music, food, mutual hatred of airlines. With today's Democrats, common ground is impossible because they define themselves entirely by opposition. They don't stand for things anymore. They stand against Trump. Trump could cure hiccups and Democrats would condemn him.Look at what they oppose purely because Trump supports it.No tax on tips. Democrats voted no. Let that sink in. The party of the working class looked at bartenders, waitresses, and so on, and said, “We need a cut of that birthday gratuity.” They didn't even pretend it was about fairness. They just shook down the tip jar like a mob accountant.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Who would you rather be, a Democrat or a Republican?I have a lot to discuss and my theme for this hour is snakebit Democrats. They fall into every Trump trap, and in some cases they create the traps they catch themselves in.Did you think Epstein was over?In the latest, Trump is now a child rapist. In what is certain to qualify as performance art with subpoenas, the Clintons have agreed to testify before Congress. The question that immediately hit me? Why do we need both Clintons?I paraphrase the late Tina Turner and ask, "What's Hill got to do, got to do with it?"Is she Bill's moral support dog, there to fetch memories, play dead, and rollover whenever the word “Epstein” is spoken? Here's the straight-faced version, as reported by MSN.Bill and Hillary Clinton have agreed to testify in a House investigation related to Jeffrey Epstein. According to Bill's spokesperson, Angel Ureña, the Clintons “negotiated in good faith,” while Chairman James Comer apparently did not. The Clintons, we are told, look forward to “setting a precedent that applies to everyone.”See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Their biggest fear isn't disagreement, it's discovery. Being found out. And once that happens, everything becomes “dangerous,” “racist,” or “misinformation,” depending on which word fits on a chyron. The political left used to believe sunlight was the best disinfectant. Now they install blackout curtains and accuse the sun of hate speech. Because once citizens started recording what local governments were quietly tolerating, the spell broke. And that's the story Democrats cannot control. Not ballots yet, but cameras. Not voting machines, but iPhones. The age of the credentialed liar is being interrupted by people who didn't ask permission to notice things.Minnesota was supposed to be the wholesome Midwestern buffer. Turns out it's a case study. Massive fraud cases involving nonprofit abuse and taxpayer-funded programs didn't just slip through the cracks. They were marched through the front door, stamped approved, and waved along. The Feeding Our Future case alone involved over $250 million in alleged fraud tied to pandemic relief, with political connections that raised eyebrows across party lines. Jeff Dornik joins Angry Conservative to explain why Pickax was built after experiencing firsthand censorship, shadow banning, and coordinated blacklisting by platforms like Spotify and Twitter while discussing election fraud and COVID. He details how Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter was a facade that replaced overt censorship with algorithmic suppression, forcing creators to self censor within a controlled Overton window, and outlines how Pickax is designed to counter centralized power, algorithmic manipulation, and creator exploitation while integrating directly with Rumble to restore reach, monetization, and true free speech.Follow Angry Conservative on Pickax - https://pickax.com/angryconservative Follow Jeff Dornik on Pickax - https://pickax.com/jeffdornikTune into The Jeff Dornik Show LIVE daily at 1pm ET on Rumble. The human body is an unforgiving truth teller. You can lie to your friends, your coworkers, your spouse, and even your therapist. But your body keeps receipts.A rational person understands this early. Eat decently. Move occasionally. Get checked out once in a while. You do not need to be a triathlete or live on kale smoothies. You just need awareness. When something feels off, you investigate. Tightness in the chest is not a suggestion. It is a warning label.Healthy people catch problems early. They adjust. They survive.Unhealthy people do something else entirely. They normalize decline. This is where the Democratic Party lives. If the GOP is a middle-aged guy who gets a weird lab result and immediately Googles it, schedules a follow up, and cuts back on sugar, Democrats are the cast of My 600 Pound Life yelling at the scale because it refuses to validate their feelings.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Department of Homeland Security has escalated immigration enforcement in recent months, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers conducting raids in Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, and most recently Minneapolis, where ICE agents fatally shot two U.S. citizens, Ren?e Good and Alex Pretti, detained countless citizens and legal immigrants, including multiple children.rnrnThose incidents have sparked widespread protests, bipartisan criticism in Congress, where Democrats have moved to block funding for the agency, and multiple lawsuits, including from the states of Minnesota and Illinois. A federal judge in Minnesota said that ICE had violated nearly 100 court orders.rnrnIn Ohio, Haitian immigrants in Springfield are bracing for ICE activity as their Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is set to expire on February 3rd; and immigrant communities across the state are facing increased anxiety over ICE enforcement in the Buckeye State.
