The Monday Morning Devo by Arvell Craig, is a weekly Christian devotional. Tune in every Monday for a short message of Biblical revelation to encourage you throughout your week.
"God, what do you want me to want?" Such were the words that came to me last week. As I sat and prayed, I felt I needed to pause. Cease from asking for an abundance of good things and instead, humbly request the best thing. Not my will but thine be done. Create a Great Day! - AC http://arvellcraig.com
In this week's devo, we look into how to truly live the Christian life in victory. It's one thing I've learned to make life work in the midst of chaos and hard-times and confusion. Here's the idea: "Christianity was never meant to be walked alone. " However in the world we live in, the lone-ranger type, self-made man or woman is often desired and sought. After childhood or depending on others we feel the natural next course is independence. We might even feel maturity is the ability to need no one. But I think all of this is weakness. In fact, I'd say it's prideful and vulnerable and dangerous. Read the full transcript at: http://arvellcraig.com/the-greatest-secret-to-christian-living
Romans 10, speaks of believing with the heart and speaking with the mouth. I believe that our own mouths are necessary to get the word from heart to mind. So, this week, I have written 5 different verses paraphrased for you say to yourself. Let them create a new narrative, based on the grace of God through the blood of Jesus. Oh how we need to grow in being others' focused. I see tremendous benefit is shifting out from self centeredness and understanding and looking into the needs of those around us. In person relationships, and business... In how we love God. Much can be accomplished by caring and giving attention to the needs of the people God brings into our lives. Today I wanted to share an overarching perspective or vision for the MMDEVO podcast. Create a Great Day! - AC http://arvellcraig.com
In this podcast, we talk about 4 types of prayers that God LOVES to answer. 1. Innocence 2. Repentance 3. Resistance 4. Revelation See more notes at http://arvellcraig.com
Lately I keep having this thought come to mind; "pray the prayer God loves to answer." I don't know where I got it from but I can't shake it. In all my requests for my needs wants and desires, I can't help but think there are somethings God is begging me to request and that he will respond swiftly. Eventually, I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to pray a certain way... and as it turns out God did move. It wasn't however the way I expected. It wasn't pretty, but it was necessary. Listen to today's devo and be encouraged. God want's to bless you and heal you and help you. Just listen and follow the leading of his Holy Spirit. This is the final message on planning for next year. My heart was overwhelmed recently after spending sometime in God's word. I felt that I needed to just encourage you to let daily time in God's word guide your day and life. The Bible is alive and living. It renews the mind and helps us align with God's nature and his kingdom. As we think about planning for next year, I feel we need to make sure our values and judgements on ourselves are Christian. Not in a legal way, but from a realization that we are more wealthy, more blessed that we realize. Today I'm reading a devotion from Sarah Young, called Jesus Calling. It's a full year devotional that my wife is reading, and our family reads together every Saturday. It is always challenging and speaks directly to you as if God is speaking himself, as compared to talking about God. Please enjoy and consider buying a copy for yourself, if you like it. Phil. 4:8 - Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. James 1:2 - Count it all joy, my brothers when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 1 Thess. 5:18 - Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. "Shameless Audacity" is a principle Jesus taught when it comes to getting your prayer answered. Not your meekness your kindness or gentleness - but something closer to bold, relentless desperation. Do we expect God to come to us with His blessings and save us? He says, “Look to Me, and be saved . . . .” The greatest difficulty spiritually is to concentrate on God, and His blessings are what make it so difficult. Troubles almost always make us look to God, but His blessings tend to divert our attention elsewhere. The basic lesson of the Sermon on the Mount is to narrow all your interests until your mind, heart, and body are focused on Jesus Christ. “Look to Me . . ..” Visit http://arvellcraig.com for more Christian Devotions and message of encouragement for your week and work.

There is a constant flow, a rhythm between our vertical life and our horizontal life. And even though salvation and trusting in Jesus is primary. It is critical. It is foundational. Once you proceed past that state - the rest of our lives is a continuous rhythm between heaven and earth - natural and spiritual. And so, the main point- the lesson here is the revelation that when we don't live rightly - or faithful on earth that can mess up our spiritual health. And when we are not right spiritually - that can affect our natural affairs, relationships and work. Create a Great Day! - AC http://arvellcraig.com
Today's MMDEVO is on Worldviews. I recently read these words, "Ideas have consequences." Fascinating right? Ideas are not agnostic, but they seems to care a perspective and bias. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts." This week I hope to encourage you to be careful about your environment, how you process your experiences and what information and education to choose to study. I am realizing that have often been inappropriately heavenly minded that I've failed to operate on earth. I desire success and progress and to make an impact, and yet I haven't fully understood what it takes. What earth demands. Perhaps there are many like me who long to tap into all that God has for us, but we don't understand that we need to : "Give to Caesar that which belongs to Caesar." Listen to this week's Monday Morning Devo on a discussion on rightly dividing heaven and earth. Create a Great Day! - AC http://arvellcraig.com
A few months ago I was praying for God's blessings. With fervency and persistence... However the request wasn't answered. Two weeks ago I was needing a blessing and I hustled, and worked, and received all that I was need... In this Podcast I discuss how grace seems to work. The needs for hustle or hard work. Maybe even how our talents play a part in receiving a breakthrough. PLEASE send your feedback to @ArvellCraig or email me at arvell@me.com Thanks! Create a Great Day! - AC http://arvellcraig.com
