Success is not a destination, it's the process of pursuing your goals after repeated setbacks.Don't let your failures define your life. It's too easy to start to see ourselves as failures because we have failed but this is a false belief. The most successful among us have a very positive opinion of failing. Quotes about failure:Failure is success in progress - Albert EinsteinI've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. - Michael JordanSuccess is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm. – Winston ChurchillSuccess is part of failure, failure part of success - unknown In this episode, we break down some of our biggest failures and how these didn't define us but instead, turned into some of our biggest life lessons. We also tie this into health and that the journey towards health isn't without steps backwards.

Sometimes we start our weight loss journey with the wrong goals. We've been conditioned to think that the number on the scale is what matters but that's what matters the least. People shouldn't be just reaching for the numbers, they should be reaching for the BENEFITS of reaching those numbers. There's quite a few that feel waaaay better than a number popping up on a scale!
We're all caught in trap where we tell ourselves that we'll go after that dream we have when we have more time, more money, more energy, when the timing is right, when the opportunity is perfect. Unfortunately, this rarely happens so we're left waiting for life to happen to us instead of going out and creating the life we want. In this episode, we debunk the concept of the perfect time and the perfect opportunity myth and discuss how we've persevered through the tough challenges.

Imagine holding a glass of water in your hand. For a couple of minutes, it's easy. If you hold that same glass of water for an hour, it will seem much heavier. Now imagine that you have to hold that glass of water for a whole day and how difficult it is. Now put the glass down. How much relief do you experience?Holding on to painful emotions is exactly the same. Forgiveness is for the individual experiencing the painful emotion. It's not about letting the other person off the hook. Forgiveness has turned out to be one of the beneficial practices that we've ever tried and we share a couple of examples of trauma that we've had to work through and how we felt about it. This is the ultimate gift that you can give yourself because it's like putting down a heavy burden that you've taken upon yourself to carry. Even when we aren't actively experiencing pain from our past, we carry it with us like a heavy suitcase that we can't go anywhere without.
In this episode we dissect 'fear' by defining it, discussing top fears among people, giving examples of it, stories of "healthy levels of fear" and stories of when fear becomes debilitating and we ultimately ask ourselves the question "Are we doing things out of fear?" We realize how easy it is to live in fear for the rest of our lives if we really wanted to. Our hope is that you don't. This podcast shines a light on how to manage it better so you can live a life on your own terms and a life of more freedoms. One of the most powerful word in any language in the world, one of the first words we learn and understand as babies yet as we grow older it gets difficult to say…Tune in to this week's podcast as we discuss the power of the word “no”.We personally talk about the biggest catalyst and example of when we said “no” to something 7 years ago that ultimately changed the course of our adult lives...and it's transfer to other parts of our lives.Of course we can't talk about the word “no” without talking about situations where we didn't say “no” and wished we had. As humans, we've all been there and can relate. There are so many reasons why we don't exercise this word more when it really can serve us.
