Forgiveness is always a choice! No I don't believe it's necessary to forgive in order to heal but in my professional expereince forgiveness is an action it's a decsion and if you don't have the capacity in your nervous system you will struggle with any kind of action and choice. When you are in a dysregulated state your body is in fight or flight a {survial reponse} Check out my book to learn more. I think it's really important that we normalize our pain. When we highlight our problems without normalizing that part of the human expereince it can leave you feeling broken. You are not broken nor should anyone make you feel that way. Of course heal your mind, body and spirit when feeling led to but normalizing is also healing.
