This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-e, This week it’s another drum & bass show with my mix in the first hour and the guest mix by DJ Bonnie Blaze in the second. So there’s no techno and no safety net, it’s 2 hours of pure drum and bass!! Bonnie Blaze, rom Peterborough in the UK, has been DJ-ing since 2001 and mixes jungle, tech, liquid and jump up drum and bass. She’s DJ’d at many events including Moondance, Rave Utopia, Deep in the jungle, Renegade Hardware and many more. She’s currently a resident DJ for Moondance. She’s also one half of a jungle and drum and bass duo called Weave n Blaze with her partner DJ ZootWeaver. Initially meeting at school through a mutual love of forward thinking music, Ali & Ed the Brighton based DJ and production duo soon started building a studio together. Quickly discovering and exploring sequencers, synthesizers and samplers they began to experiment within the blueprint of Drum & Bass to create the soundtrack to the Allied mind. Their first release came in 2007 with ‘Unseen Sun // Lunar 3’ on SINUOUS RECORDS. The 2nd half of the year saw the release of the exceptional and blissful ‘ANESTHESIA’ as part of the METHLAB // 1 EP on BAD TASTE RECORDINGS, a stunning collaboration with MACHINECODE in the form of ‘ABYSS’ on SUBSISTENZ and a remix of DnB pioneer SKYNET – with ‘ATLANTIS (Allied Remix)’ on Full Force Recordings. 2016 brought with it a new wave of detailed production from Allied, with him responsible for the first EP on award-winning label MethLab’s BNKR series with the ‘OBSCURITY’ EP, as well as releasing on Critical Music with Omega Point and Omega Point VIP. Fresh material is under construction, with rumours of a very significant release in 2017.
