This week on Fanwidth, we bring out a special guest: Caitlin Galiz-Rowe of Uppercut! They're here to discuss everything from games criticism, and the way we support it, to the very worst characters in Dragon Age. Don't worry, though. We talk about a lot of terrible things. Namely fan fiction and the people who write it (e.g. us) becomes a major point of contention. Did you know Supernatural has a lot of it? Really? Huh. Learn more about your ad choices. It's all about Jaal this week, folks. But in actuality it's about some of Andromeda's worst story beats and the execution of such. Ginny Woo returns and Caitlin Galiz-Rowe comes onto the show for the first time to talk about how Jaal is a vehicle through which Bioware attempts to downplay some of Andromeda's worst truths. In November 2017, Trinket Studios released a unique puzzle-fighting game onto PC and Nintendo Switch. The title, Battle Chef Brigade, had garnered a colossal amount of support following a successful Kickstarter campaign raised over $100,000 in 2014. The game focuses on Mina Han, an up and coming chef who leaves her rural home to make it as a member of the Battle Chef Brigade, an elite group of chefs who battle monsters and use the spoils to make the most delectable dishes in all the land. Battle Chef Brigade currently sits with a spotless rating of 10/10 on Steam and has earned itself a persistent cult following since release.
