Eric Van Allen and Kenneth Shepard come together for a multi-part Mass Effect retrospective. Normandy FM goes mission by mission through the Mass Effect series, discussing the decisions and characters of Bioware's science fiction universe. Tune in to the discussion and join in by playing along with…
If you're a fan of the BioWare series, specifically Dragon Age and Mass Effect, then The Normandy FM podcast is an absolute must-listen. I stumbled upon this podcast a few years ago and it has since become one of my absolute favorites. Every episode from every season is consistently good, which is quite a feat in itself. The hosts, Kenneth Shepard and Eric Van Allen, are incredibly passionate about the games and their love for them shines through in every episode. They go into great detail when describing the mechanics and storylines of these games, providing listeners with a thorough analysis. Additionally, they aren't afraid to share their opinions on various aspects of the games, sparking interesting discussions.
One of the best aspects of The Normandy FM podcast is the genuine delight that Shepard and Van Allen bring to each episode. Their chemistry is fantastic and listening to their back-and-forth banter feels like hanging out with friends and chatting about games. They also frequently have stellar guests on the show, adding different perspectives to the discussions. This variety keeps the conversations fresh and engaging.
On the other hand, while I generally enjoy hearing different opinions on these beloved games, there are moments where I find myself strongly disagreeing with Ken and Eric's viewpoints. However, even during these "I wanna fight you on that" moments, I appreciate the diversity of opinions and find it refreshing in a fandom that often rehashes the same topics repeatedly.
In conclusion, The Normandy FM podcast is an exceptional show for fans of BioWare games. It offers detailed analysis alongside passionate discussions about these beloved series like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Despite occasional differences in opinion, Ken Shepard and Eric Van Allen provide an entertaining listen that feels like hanging out with friends who love these games as much as you do. If you're looking for an in-depth exploration of your favorite BioWare titles or just want to join in on some lively game-related debates, The Normandy FM podcast is definitely worth a listen.

Hey folks! It's been a minute. At this year's PAX East we had a fun panel with returning guest Janet Garcia and newcomers Carli Velocci and Jarrett Green. Hey everyone. We wanted to take a moment ahead of the Cyberpunk 2077 finale to set some expectations, as the show will have to go on a brief hiatus ahead of the Nier season. Shuyin threatens Spira with destruction, but we first need to make sure things are in order for after the fight. This episode we're wrapping up most of the Chapter 5's side stories. From Wakka and Lulu's baby, Kimahri's status as a Ronso elder, and we get to the bottom of how Maechen knows so much about Spira's past. Enjoy the show! Jenny Windom is back to help us talk through Final Fantasy X-2's fourth chapter. It's the shortest in the game, but one of its most memorable. Yuna wants to help bring the warring factions of Spira together, and what better way to do that than with a concert in the Thunder Plains? This episode we talk about the significance of music in Final Fantasy X-2, and how one song illustrates the parallels between Spira's past, its present, and the two sets of lovers at its center. This episode we finally come face to face with the man Yuna's been searching for. But it's not who she wanted to see. We round out Chapter 3 fighting dark aeons, solidifying our dresspheres, and finally meeting the man in the sphere that started our journey. Enjoy the show!
