What if clinical trial sites could focus entirely on research? What if sponsors could have immediate access to trial patients during and after the study, and use those insights to improve trial design? What if all of that could be done without burdening an already strained site? What if those didn't have to be “what ifs”? In this sponsored episode of The Top Line, Julia Douthart talks to Jessica Jones, Director of Strategic Technology Delivery and Experience Optimization at IQVIA, about how new technologies are changing clinical trials, reducing the administrative burden on staff and improving insights for sponsors. But can it be done without adding an additional technological burden and learning curve on the site staff? Listen to learn how IQVIA is addressing these challenges. Tonight's guest, Jessica Jones, is a Bigfoot and paranormal researcher, based out of Georgia, who had her first Sasquatch-related experience in 2011. You see, after her interest in them had been piqued by a trip to a Bigfoot presentation, with her mother, she became interested in finding out all that she could about them. At the presentation she attended, with her mother, she spoke with several of the researchers who gave presentations about Sasquatch. After seeing how interested Jessica was in learning, what she could, about Sasquatch, the researchers invited her on an upcoming expedition. Of course, Jessica had high hopes for what would happen, when she went into the field with them, but she got more excitement than she expected. We hope you'll listen to her talk about what happened on that expedition as well as share other experiences she's had. Thanks for listening! The biggest contributors to farm accidents are probably impatience and complacency. Getting in a hurry, or thinking that danger doesn't exist just because nothing has ever happened before can lead one into a dangerous situation. On today's show we are profiling the farm safety education philosophy of the Tunstall FFA Chapter in Dry Fork, Virginia. Dr. Jessica Jones, the FFA Advisor and her colleagues have figured out that impatience and complacency can be overcome by keeping safety in the front of one's mind. If you think safety first, then your chances of not overlooking a dangerous aspect of your job go way up. Two of Jessica's students, Chapter President - Cole Abercrombie as well as sophomore member - Zac Chaney join me on the show today. They will talk about farming in their area, what they see as some of the biggest risks and how farm safety is taught in every agriculture class at Tunstall, regardless of whether or not it is Farm Safety Week.

Film, television and theatre are each modalities in the performing arts Ezra Barnes has been directly immersed into, both as an actor and director. Using performance as a curiosity valve for the preservation of ideals, such as imagination and spirited curiosity, are an important element of Ezra's foundational goals as an actor. Since joining a secret film club in fourth grade, Ezra instinctively knew he was going to be an artist. And going to the theatre starting from an early age, with encouragement from both of his parents, who were heavily invested in the arts, helped lay some of the groundwork for the ideals Ezra became drawn to as a performer. Some of his notable theatre productions as an actor include Fraser Grace's Breakfast With Mugabe, which he also produced; To Kill a Mockingbird, as Atticus Finch; and several productions of the Shakespearean canon. He has directed productions of The Diary of Anne Frank; One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest; Julius Caesar; As You Like It; and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In the meantime, Ezra has appeared in several film and television projects, including Bored to Death; Law & Order; Jessica Jones; Orange is the New Black; and Motherless Brooklyn, opposite Edward Norton. Additionally, he runs the Young Actors Workshop in Brooklyn to inspire the next generation of theatre. In our conversation, we discussed the origins and film adaptation of Group, the group psychotherapy series in which he plays Frank, and its relevance to the present day; the influence of Count Basie on his idea of performance; directing theatre; inspiring curiosity from knowing the script, but not actively thinking about it in the moment; and how height influences the perception of life. His upcoming projects include Birth/Rebirth, the Sundance/IFC horror film which will be released in theaters, and available to stream on August 18; as well as Can't Let it Go, a comedic film on the emotional hangover in the aftermath of the 2016 election starring Mario Cantone.Opening Credits: Plaga de baile - I WAS A MOD (pero ya no) I Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 United States (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 US); HoliznaCC0 - April Showers I CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. Look at us being consistent! It's a light news week so we dive into collective effervescence at movie theaters after a few hot topics This week we have a really great conversation about control (or lack thereof) in the lives of Jessica Jones & her inner circle. Everyone is spiraling. We also dive into the second episode of Secret Invasion, so far we love it and the conversations about race and assimilation it brings up!

On today's episode, I talk to TV and comics writer J. Holtham. Originally a playwright, J. moved to Los Angeles in the early 20-teens to pursue screenwriting, eventually landing a staff writer position on the show Pitch. Since then, he's written for Cloak and Dagger, Jessica Jones, Supergirl and The Handmaid's Tale. As a comics writer, the final issue of J.'s first miniseries Bishop: War College just dropped, and it is delightful! Series Synopsis: The first season of the American streaming television series Jessica Jones, which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, follows a former superhero who opens her own detective agency after her superhero career comes to an end at the hands of Kilgrave. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other television series of the franchise. The season was produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Tall Girls Productions, with Melissa Rosenberg serving as showrunner. Krysten Ritter stars as Jones, while David Tennant plays Kilgrave. The two are joined by principal cast members Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Wil Traval, Erin Moriarty, Eka Darville, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Jessica Jones entered development in late 2013, with Rosenberg reworking a series she had previously developed for ABC. Ritter was cast as Jones in December 2014, and production took place in New York City from February to August 2015. The season addresses issues of rape and assault, and was always intended to be far more "adult" than other Marvel projects, particularly in terms of sex. The show's cinematography took inspiration from noir, while visual effects house Shade VFX focused on creating "invisible" effects that would support its realistic approach.
Andrew Barth Feldman and Alex Boniello are a power duo who have most recently teamed up for "Foul Play", a new online murder mystery series that's reinventing how the internet works. The two share where and when their friendship began and why Andrew thinks the two of them are an unlikely pairing—one that works so well. The story behind Foul Play is an interesting one – listen in as they discuss how it all started, how much of it is improv, and how they accidentally found themselves developing an entirely new online technology for entertainment in the process. Alex and Andrew also share what it was like finding the right people for the project through vibe check alone, what makes "Foul Play" special, including not counting on any one person to be a star and allowing them to be exactly who they are and letting people do their thing, which isn't far from what motivates the two of them: doing what makes you happy and supporting other people. Andrew Barth Feldman is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He rose to fame for his portrayal of the lead role in the Broadway musical "Dear Evan Hansen" at the age of 16, becoming the youngest actor to do so. Aside from his Broadway debut, Feldman has also appeared in several theater productions, including "Romeo and Juliet" at the Guthrie Theater and "The Phantom Tollbooth" at the Kennedy Center. He took a role in "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" and starred in "Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical", "A Tourist's Guide to Love" on Netflix as well as in the upcoming comedy film, "No Hard Feelings". He has also performed at various events and benefits, including the Tony Awards and "The Jimmy Awards," where he won the Best Actor award. Feldman is also a talented songwriter, having written original music for "It Could Be Worse: The Musical" and "Normativity," two off-Broadway productions. He is a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and is passionate about using his platform to support various charitable causes. Alex Boniello is an American actor, singer, and musician who's won Tony Awards for co-producing “Hades Town”. He is known for his work on Broadway and off-Broadway productions, as well as in film and television. Boniello made his Broadway debut in 2011 as the understudy for the role of Moritz Stiefel in the musical "Spring Awakening". He later played the role of the voice of the skateboarder in the Broadway musical "American Idiot". In 2018, he originated the role of Connor Murphy in the Broadway production of "Dear Evan Hansen". His other stage credits include “21 Chump Street: The Musical”, “Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical”, and “I Am Harvey Milk”. Aside from his work on stage, Boniello has also appeared in films such as "The Intern" and "Friendsgiving", and in television series such as "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", “Ghosts” and "Jessica Jones". In addition to acting, Boniello is a musician and has released original music as a singer-songwriter. Alex will be seen in the upcoming follow-up to Disney's "Descendants" franchise. Andrew and Alex co-created and hosted Broadway Jackbox and Broadway Whodunit and recently, they have launched a new online murder mystery series called "Foul Play". This is the fourth episode of a special 4-part takeover with cast & creatives from Hulu's new musical series UP HERE. Make sure to stream the entire 21 song UP HERE soundtrack everywhere you find your music. Andréa Burns is currently in the original musical comedy series, "Up Here" playing Rosie, a strong and supportive “Latin Jewish” mother. The actress lets us in on how she ended up in the show and talks about her childhood friendship with fellow actress, Katie Finneran. Being raised in movie musicals, she was always amazed at how you could use your singing voice to tell a story and describes musical theatre as one of the ultimate forms of expression. She speaks candidly about playing a homemade collection of Billy Porter's recordings in the delivery room as she was giving birth, the thrills of moving into New York to meet people and create something, and performing for the sake of performing, regardless of how a show is going to turn out. Andréa also talks about her latest role in "Up Here" and how she found familiarity with the character, Rosie. With the surge of musicals on tv and film, she reflects on its positive outcome, including reaching a wider, global audience to tell real human stories and make an emotional connection. Andréa Burns is an actress who's won a Drama Desk Award for her creation of the role of Daniela in the Tony Award-winning musical "In The Heights". Her other Broadway credits include "On Your Feet", "The Rose Tattoo", "Beauty and the Beast", and "The Full Monty" among others. She was in the original cast of "Songs for a New World" opposite Billy Porter, and was selected by Stephen Sondheim to create the role of Celeste in his musical "Saturday Night". She can be heard on the soundtracks for the film versions of "In The Heights", "Tick, Tick... Boom!", and "Vivo". Andréa's tv and film credits include "The Electric Company", "Jessica Jones", "West Side Story", and "Blue Bloods". Currently, she can be seen as Rosie in the original musical comedy series, "Up Here", streaming on Hulu.
