Sometimes we overcomplicate things in deciding to make that big leap. I love how relatively drama free Tracey Osborne's transition was from working in corporate to becoming a full-time business owner. Starting her virtual assistant business as a side hustle and having networking ties in her community were a powerful combination in allowing her to quit her full-time job in just two months' time. What I also took away from the conversation was Tracey's strong sense of discipline which ties in with her love for Spartan racing. Learn how setting boundaries and structures, can help set the stage for your success in business and life! Who is Tracey? Tracey Osborne is known as The Entrepreneur's Secret Weapon. After specializing in the virtual assistant industry for almost a decade, Tracey coaches and teaches women how to use the skills they have to create a money-making machine working from home as a virtual professional. Tracey is the author of the book, Becoming a VA; The Key to Unlocking the Virtual Assistant Industry. She is a powerful and dynamic speaker and has relaunched her podcast, Coffee With Tracey in April 2017. In her spare time, Tracey can be found training in the gym for her first bodybuilding competition or her next Spartan-style obstacle race. She's an avid hiker and is often found in the woods of Georgia with her husband, youngest kids and of course their beloved dogs, Rylie and Molson. Quotes from Tracey If you don’t continue to grow your skills and if you don’t continue to develop yourself as a person, you just stagnate and your business dies and doesn’t go anywhere. (6:43) I had to create a structure and boundaries and a strict work life balance in order to make it really flow and happen. (10:05) You need to have some kind of balance. Don’t let your phone rule you. (10:43) What You’ll Learn How to set boundaries with clients, even if you're just getting started in your business. It will set the tone for your relationship, put everyone on the same page in terms of expectations and create a space for having a mutually beneficial working relationship. 10 years of experience in the trenches taught Tracey how boundaries are necessary for work and family in order to avoid burnout and longer-than-necessary work days. The importance of a self-care and morning rituals. Tracey starts her day at 4:45 am with creative work. She also works out daily and keeps a healthy eating habit.
