Twenty nine year old Tiffany Moss stood trial on April 15, 2019 for the 2013 death of her 10 year old stepdaughter, Emani Moss. Emani's father, Eman Moss, did nothing while Tiffany systematically starved, neglected, and abused his daughter, and later helped to cover up the murder. Emani was described as a precious and happy child who always had a smile on her face, by everyone that knew and loved her. At age three, she studied ballet and when she was 5 years old, she took guitar lessons. She did everything in her power to escape her abusive situation and was removed at one time, but was returned time and time again. My heart goes out to her and all of her loved ones. The details of this case are disturbing and graphic and involves heinous crimes against a child. This week, Drewby and Yergy discuss the case of 10 year old Emani Moss of Lawrenceville, Georgia, who was beaten and starved to death by her stepmother, Tiffany. Emani Moss was a bright and beautiful 10 year old little girl that died at the hands of her father and step-mother. Listen as Mandy gives you the full story.
A Walmart receipt, a guilty plea, and pencils. Emani Gabrielle Moss was born on April 23rd, 2003. Her life was rocky from the start. In 2009 her father married a woman named Tiffany. Things went from bad to worse. Multiple calls were made to the Department of Families and Children in Gwinnett County, Georgia and Tiffany Moss eventually pled guilty to child cruelty and Emani was removed from her father's care. Six months later DFCS reunified the family. That reunification would spark a string of events that ended in the 10-year-old's brutal murder. This week we're talking about 10 year old Emani Moss and the details of her unfortunate passing. Join us as we go over this case!
This episode was from yesterday i must of forgotten to upload it. This evil stepmother named Tiffany did awful things to poor Emani. While her dad worked two jobs, but don't let that fool you he helped his wife by trying to get rid of her body by cremation. All because she would tell him you can't call the police I'm on probation. And if you call them I'll go to jail and you'll go to jail. And we will lose the kids. Luckily they are both where they are supposed too be. Eman got life in prison without the possibility of parole. He agreed to testify against his wife in order to have the death penalty off the table. Tiffany was found guilty within the couple of jury deliberation and was sentenced to be executed. And still stills on death row to this day. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/heaven-marie/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/heaven-marie/support

This week we are diving into the story of Cinderella, a tale that is almost 2,000 years old. Although her name and appearance may change throughout the generations, the basic story stays the same: a commoner that rises from oppression to a higher social class via marriage. There's also a lot of weird stuff about feet. So, yeah. This week's true crime involves an evil step mother and is truly heart breaking. Listeners beware. Emani Moss' story had all the elements of Cinderella. Except the story of Cinderella didn't have gruesome abuse and murder. Emani Moss was only 10 years old when she was methodically killed by her stepmother. The circumstances of this case are horrifying and cruel, and sheds light on Georgia's inadequate child welfare system.Follow us on Twitter: @TheLCLpodFor business inquiries only: thelostcrimeslibrary@gmail.comSources:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97Ks34UE9mwhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Emani_Mosshttps://www.11alive.com/article/news/precious-and-a-blessing-teacher-remembers-little-girl-at-center-of-stepmoms-murder-trial/85-cd822212-e680-4793-9648-268e778647c7https://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/local/tiffany-moss-death-penalty-trial-begins-with-horrific-telling-of-girls-death/article_df47f336-6694-11e9-a7ec-db5de34aa779.htmlhttps://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/local/who-was-emani-moss-witnesses-in-capital-trial-against-stepmom-describe-victim-as-precious/article_e803ab7a-6822-11e9-8817-63d6b2c802c5.html Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Tiffany Moss abused her step-daughter, Emani Moss, so severely that she lost her job as a preschool teacher. Once that happened, she became a stay-at-home mom to Emani and her own two children. With her husband, Eman Moss, working two jobs to support the family, the mother began starving Emani until she died just days before Halloween in 2013. Then she convinced Eman to burn the body and pretend the girl ran away. For more stories of the worst people on earth, visit our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/thisisMONSTERSYou can check out our new merch on TeeSpring! https://this-is-monsters.creator-spring.com/To support the show, donate a few bucks through Buy Me A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/monstersYou can find more information about ways to support us plus contact info at our website: https://www.thisismonsters.com/

According to the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services statistics, in 2012, the agency reported 152 deaths of children that they had been in contact with. This was an alarming average of almost three children per week. Then the following year, DFCS came under scrutiny once again, when a young girl was found dead and their records indicated a long history of abuse claims.PATREON - https://www.patreon.com/morbidologyShow Notes: https://morbidology.com/morbidology-the-podcast-57-emani-mossPodcast Promo – Brew CrimeTwitter: https://twitter.com/brewcrimeFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/brewcrime/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brewcrime/Audio Credit:Ever Mindful, On My Way, Sincerely & Evening of Chaos - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Density & Time - Water LilliesDark Tranquility - Anno Domini Beats - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6mBav72AkELicensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/Mattia Cupelli - http://www.mattiacupelli.com/Scott Buckley - Undertow

It was the summer of 2012. Police received a 911 call from an employee of an apartment complex, who told them that a 9 year old girl was in their office, after having run away from home. When they arrived at the office, the young girl named Emani Moss, told them she ran away from home, and didn’t want to return because her stepmother was mean, and she hated her. After hearing some more details about the rough living situation of this girl, they visited the home she had run away from. But after some questioning, they determined she wasn’t in danger and left her right back where she started. This decision would have terrible consequences for the young girl.
