Is anyone beyond the reach of Jesus? Should we ever give up hope on anyone? Today in our study of Acts we come to one of the most dramatic conversion stories in all the Bible. It reminds us to hold out hope for everyone and how to pray for and walk with those we might think are beyond the reach of Jesus. Acts 9:1-22 Teaching Pastor: Dale Durie, Interim Pastor | A New Way | www.thedoor.org
Hi guys! In this episode, I have my brother, Pastor Tim Hamlette, on to talk with me & dissect some of the questions I have heard, asked or know should be asked about our faith, Christianity. This week's music inspiration is religion x PJ Morton. It is a personal fav of mine because it just poetically reflects on how people put their own ideas, beliefs & attitudes that really have nothing to do with their faith ON their God. As I believer, of course, God influences or should influence, what we do, how we think & the way we act. Unfortunately, that is not the case so let's talk about it! As a Christian should you be in a local body of believers and either serving/functioning in the body? Is my faith the “white man’s religion”? Has church hurt blocked people from seeing Jesus? Should we be surprises by people being people? What is the church’s job and is it doing that? What should the church look like today? Misconceptions that are put on pastors: ie. “pastors get all money from the church” → how PKs are affected by gossip. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

What can we expect from Jesus? Should we expect anything from him? This week as we continue through our sermon series through Luke we look at the message Jesus brings, how he backs up his message, and why that message cannot leave you neutral.
Isaiah 6.1-13, Psalm 138, 1 Corinthians 15.1-11, Luke 5.1-11; What happens when you go fishing with Jesus? Should preachers intentionally confuse people? What's a spiritual hangover? These questions and more on this episode of Strangely Warmed with guest Josh Munnikhuysen.

Here is the intro for our new message series: Acts: The Rest of the Story. We begin looking at the events of Acts--a continuation of Luke's Gospel. What happened after the resurrection of Jesus? Should we expect more of the same? What does Acts tell us about "who, what, when and how" of the church?
What does it mean to say that I am a follower of Jesus? Should my life be different as a Christian? From a biblical perspective the answers to those questions seem obvious. But, as you’ll hear today, sometimes people want to change God’s truth into what they want it to be. In our new series entitled, "The am i? Series," Pastor Clay has been taking us through the first chapter of 1 John where the theme for John’s whole letter is being laid out. Some false teachers with distorted views of God’s word were influencing the church, and causing confusion for followers of Jesus Christ. There are still plenty of false teachers around today, so John’s message has just as much application for us today as it did for the church 2,000 years ago.
People sometimes use the term “The Spirit of Christmas” to refer to the feeling or atmosphere that surrounds the holidays. (Ex. “In the Spirit of Christmas, our boss at work decided to allowed everyone to leave an hour early… with pay!”) But the true Spirit of Christmas can only be found in Jesus Christ. When you look at the account of the Story of Jesus in Luke chapter 2, you don't find stress, anxiety, anger (Traffic or Shopping Rage), depression/ oneliness, materialism/overspending or competition. But what you do see is Hope, Joy, Promise of Salvation, Worship toward God and Peace to those in whom God is pleased. These qualities found in the announcement of the angels at the birth of Jesus SHOULD be the prevalent atmosphere of the day… But we have allowed so many things to distract us from the Joy which is found in the coming of Jesus. Let’s go to JESUS…Jesus is the Spirit of Christmas and without Him, we will never find peace.
Kendrick Lamar, of hip hop and rap fame, said recently in an interview " We are in the Last Days". To him, he said that knowing the Lord's return was soon was about being at peace with himself, with others and just living life. Is that what the Word of God says about the return of Jesus? Should the knowledge of Christ's second coming lead us to a "just live life" attitude? In light of Lamar's viewpoint,. I'll examine, the prophecies, promise, and plan of the Lord's return. Tune in to today's broadcast to discover what the return of the Lord should produce in your heart and life.
Who do you run to, lean on, talk to in times of trouble? Who do you run to, lean on, talk to, in the good times? Is it Jesus? Should be. Yes, God blessed his children with a church family, friends, spouses and children, but God should be number one to call on and spend time with for good times and bad. He is a Father to the fatherless, a Mother to the motherless, a Friend to the friendless, A Healer, Deliverer, Advocate, plus he will never tire of being with us.
