Loving G-d as one would love their father, means you would do anything for the sake of G-d.
Yetzias Mitzrayim showcases Hashem's attribute of lovingkindness.This is the deepest conception we can have of Hashem. All other attributes of Hashem-Judge, Lawgiver, etc. are all to advance the greater purpose of Divine chessed(much like a loving parent who disciplines solely for the child's benefit).This epiphany of a Supreme Being of chessed was a radical departurefrom the prevalent belief of the idolaters in cruel, authoritarian deities.
