Christ-less Conservatism will not save America. It's not the Elephant, not the Donkey, it's the Lamb! How should Christians be viewing the times, the culture (and the election) we're living in? God judged his Chosen Nation for the sin of child-sacrifice. Will He not judge us? We come into this election with a pro-abortion candidate vs one who no longer fights for the unborn. Does it really matter which of them gets the title? How should we be preparing? Beans and bullets? Lots of questions, but ultimate answers are found in God's Word.

Antisemitism and the Destruction of the Jews: The Evil Supreme Council of RulersThe Supreme Commander, Lord Lucifer, called the meeting to order.“Prince of Persia, give me your report now.”“My Lord, Persia has been very obedient. Its human leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei hears my commands clearly and he obeys. Under the direction of my subordinate, the Marquess of Tehran, he has funded and empowered humans to develop Hamas and Hezbollah. Both are wreaking havoc with the Chosen Nation and the Chosen People, especially Hamas. The Earl of Gaza and the demons in Rafah are hard at work. Of course you know, my lord, what Hamas did on October 7.”“Of course, I know Prince. But I think we'd better review my ultimate purposes, my goals. I'd better quote from the Word of God again. I hate the Word of God, but you and I know that it is eternal and, so far, we've not be able to thwart it. My plan is for that to change but for now we can't ignore it. So here is the bedrock verse that must guide me:“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."” (Genesis 3:15, NKJV)“Now, you and I both know that where the Word says “the Seed shall bruise your head” that means that on His return the Messiah is going to crush my head. That would be the end of me and that would mean the end of all of you. We can't have that! The Seed will only return when the Jewish people cry out for Him and say this:“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.” (Psalms 118:26, NKJV)“Yeshua told them that He won't return until they say that, all of them. Damn Him!”“If I can destroy the Jewish people in Israel through Persia, Hamas, Hezbollah, Yemen, and other middle eastern countries, and then everywhere else in the world through my other principalities and powers, then there won't be a single Jew left to say this and the Seed won't return to crush my head. And then my ultimate purpose can be fulfilled:“I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'” (Isaiah 14:14, NKJV)“But, back to preventing the return of the Messiah and the crushing of my head. I'll never be like the Most High if my head is crushed! Now, you all know that I nearly succeeded in eradicating European Jewry through Hitler and the Holocaust. And that was to be just the beginning. But I failed and the Prince of Europe did not come through for me. Damn him for failing!”“I'm sorry, Lord Lucifer. I'll do better next time. You know that even now, with the help of a great many demons I'm reactivating Jew hatred in the European countries. And the Prince of America is working with me. And so are the other princes. And you know what that will lead to, my lord. I just need a little more time.”“Time is what we don't have, Europe! And you, Persia. What in hell, may we never end up there, were you doing when you failed to stop Gabriel and Michael from bringing understanding from God to Daniel about what will happen to the Jews in the latter days? Remember what Gabriel said centuries ago:“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come."” (Daniel 10:13-14, NKJV)“But the Jews were given understanding through Daniel. They can even know now, through Daniel's book, about the coming of the antichrist, whom I will direct to annihilate the whole Jewish race. Don't you realize that some Jews today have gained understanding from Daniel 9:24-27 and have come to believe that Yeshua is the Messiah and have received eternal life? Do you have any idea how badly my ultimate plans will be derailed if that knowledge, that understanding, spreads?“And don't you dare forget that we must continually kill Gentile Christians too so that the full number of the Gentiles will never come in and so the blindness of the Jews will continue to prevent them from recognizing their Messiah:“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” (Romans 11:25, NKJV)“Now, it is true that Isis and Al Qaeda killed many Christians. But more killing must be done! Have you forgotten that when the blindness is lifted the whole Nation of the Jews will believe and the Messiah will then return?!? And we are then all done for! My head will be crushed and so will yours! We must all work harder! Much harder! Kill more Jews, you demons! Kill them all!! Now!! And continue to deceive Jews and Christians so that they will keep failing to understand the root cause of antisemitism. They think their Messiah is the cause of it. They don't realize that I am the cause of it and that when their Messiah returns, I'm doomed, and antisemitism comes to an end. So, kill them all!”“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12, NKJV)My dear Jewish brothers and sisters. Please understand that I've written this for your benefit. It's a true picture. I've written this because I love you and because someone must tell you the truth. Your Messiah is Jesus, Yeshua, and He already came once. Many individual Jewish people accepted Him but most of our Jewish leaders rejected Him and so our Nation rejected Him. Please, accept Him today. You will then have a personal relationship with your God and your place in the World to Come will be assured. You will be blessed beyond measure!Art Wolinsky This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit awolinsky.substack.com

Synopsis: To understand Romans 11 and the Future of ethnic Israel, we must first understand the biblical revelation of God's Election of Israel. Election must be handled with great care, for it is a deep mystery. The Bible reveals that election is a Trinitarian Decree, that the church is elected in Christ; being a personal grace, not fatalistic or mechanistic. Sermon Text: 1 Peter 1:9-10; Deuteronomy 14:2

The past week has been horrific for Israel. The evil attacks by Hamas, the brutal killing of innocent civilians and the pleasure they take in it should be unilaterally condemned in the United States. But in our Universities and in our major cities, Hamas' brutality is being celebrated. God warned that there would be unrest in this part of the country—a never ending struggle between the descendants of Isaac and of Ishmael. But has God's heart toward Israel changed? And how should Christians respond? Talking about the things of the black chosen race
Welcome to Embrace Shabbat. The Midrash famously teaches that during the six days of creation, Shabbat approached Hashem and complained, “each day of the week has a match. Sunday has Monday, Tuesday has Wednesday, and Thursday has Friday- but I don't have a match!” Hashem responded that the Jewish people would be its match. The famous question is that just as people don't necessarily get married in order, the days of the week don't necessarily need to pair up in order. Perhaps Friday would match with Shabbat and Sunday would pair with Tuesday. What is the meaning of this Midrash? Rav Shimshon Raphael Hirsch explains by discussing the difference between a husband and wife. A wife actualizes that potential that her husband brings home. This can be seen with the development of a baby, where the wife actualizes her husband's physical potential and carries the baby in her womb, or in day-to-day life, where the wife takes the money that the husband earns and transforms it into a nutritious meal. The power of a wife is in transforming the potential into action. The same is true in the setup of the days of the week. The first three days of creation set up a foundation for the last three days of creation. On the first day, light was created and on the fourth day, the luminaries were placed in the heavens. On the second day, water was created and on the fifth day, the fish and the birds, which need the water, were placed on earth. On the third day, the land was created and on the sixth day, the animals and man, which come from the earth and develop it, were created. The first three days created the potential for the latter three days to actualize their forces. Shabbat was alone. Hashem reassured it that He would match it with the Jewish people. Shabbat's “job” is to bring out the beauty of the Jewish people. The neshama yetaira comes in, we don't work, and the beauty of the Jewish people is revealed through Shabbat. It is for this reason that Shabbat is called a “kallah” and we bring in Shabbat with the pizmon of Lecha Dodi. We recite בּואִי בְשלום עֲטֶרֶת בַּעְלָה ּ, come in peace, the crown of her husband . A woman is her husband's crown. Just as a crown indicates the greatness of the king, the wife is her husband's crown and represents his greatness, and Shabbat is our crown. גַּם בְּשמְחָה וּבְצָהֳלָה , we accept Shabbat with happiness and joy; we show the excitement we have, like a Chatan has with his new wife. We end with תּוךְ אֱמוּנֵי עַם סְגֻלָּה , among the faithful, the Am Segulah . Hashem called the Jewish People “His עַם סְגֻלָּה ” at Har Sinai, when we became known as the Chosen Nation. The greatness of the Jewish people, the עַם סְגֻלָּה , is brought to fruition through Shabbat. Shabbat is the crown of Klal Yisrael because it brings out the best in us. This is even represented in Halacha. The Gemara Yerushalmi teaches that when a person buys food from an am haaretz , an unlearned man, they must take tithes from the room. However, on Shabbat, if the am haaretz claims that the food was tithed, a person can trust him because אימת שבת עליו , the fear of Shabbat is upon him . Rav Tzadok HaCohen explains that even the lowest person feels some kedusha on Shabbat. Surely, we will feel something on Shabbat. That feeling is the kallah bringing out the potential beauty of her husband. Similarly, the power of Shabbat brings out our greatness and reveal the special soul and עַם סְגֻלָּה status that we possess, but is hidden beneath the surface. Just as there is a delicious meal hidden inside the husband's $100 bill which cannot be seen until the wife buys the food and cooks it, Klal Yisrael has special kochos that Shabbat reveals to the world. Have a wonderful day and a Shabbat Shalom.

Chosen Nation Sorting through the Myths With Rabbi Ari Sollish (Recorded live at the Intown Jewish Academy on July 27, 2022) Is it racist to make the claim that we're the “Chosen Nation”? What does that even mean in the first place? A closer look at the Chosen Land (spoiler: Israel) uncovers an edifying take on this much-abused idea. Far from privileged pretentiousness, to be chosen is a responsibility and a demand.

Today, Beis Sivan, is the day that Hashem charged us with the responsibility, and endowed us with the privilege, of being The Chosen Nation. How do I fulfill my responsibility of being a Jew? How do I express my pride in being a Jew?
Israel was God's Chosen Nation. Unfortunately, they wouldn't follow His commandments and laws. Repeatedly, God warned them. Over and over again God warned them. Yet, they still preferred the pagan traditions of the neighboring nations before Him. In today's chapter, we find a final parable demonstrating how God will cleanse the “scum” and “corruption” from Jerusalem. Sadly, Ezekiel loses his “dearest treasure”, yet he must stay silent. We once learned from Rav Yehezkiel Levenstein that we have to appreciate what it means, and how great it is to be a Yisrael, and then we will love every Jewish person. In Parashat Yitro (19,5) Hashem tells us that if you listen to the Torah and keep His covenant, וִהְיִיתֶם לִי סְגֻלָּה מִכׇּל־הָעַמִּים כִּי־לִי כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃ You'll be a segula/ treasure to Me, from all the nations, and the whole land is Mine. Hashem calls us by this great title- a Segula. This is like someone who owns a lot of diamonds calling us the Hope Diamond. God has everything. In Devarim him he says, “God lifted you up..” He lifted us up to be an Am Segula, a treasure nation, when He said these words וִהְיִיתֶם לִי סְגֻלָּה You'll be My segula/treasure We, the Jewish people are His, as it says in Devarim (32,9), כִּי חֵלֶק ה׳ עַמּוֹ We are a part of God. Sefer Yikarim (in Ma'Amar ג chap 37), tells us that His love for the Jewish people is like the unexplainable love of a couple. He says that the whole Shir HaShirim is written on this love, that God had for the Jewish people. It's not because of our numbers. As it says in Devarim (7/7) לֹא מֵרֻבְּכֶם מִכׇּל־הָעַמִּי it's not because you're so many.. Hashem doesn't love us because of our numbers, or became of our righteousness, as it says in Devarim (9,6) לֹא בְצִדְקָתְךָ God loves us because He loves us … כי חשק בלי טעם That's what it means, וִהְיִיתֶם לִי סְגֻלָּה You'll be My treasured nation When we received the Torah, it created this love. He says that a segula is a treasure that can be very small, but it's perfect. It's more beloved than anything else. He says that, “A little bit of service that He receives from a Jewish person is more precious to him than from a lot, or all the nations.” There is a mashal that if you have nine people waiting for a minyan, and another billion non-Jews join, you still can't say Kaddish. But if just one 13 year old boy walks in, now you can say Kaddish. That is the segula. That is how special every Jewish person is. He quotes a sefer Seder Hayom that says it's not just referring to Sadikim. Even sinners. We have to appreciate what a Jew is, and that includes everybody. Every Jew that you see has that in them, and this is the reason to love every Jewish person.

This week's Parsha tells us about Avraham Avinu's commitment to Hashem, and Hashem choosing him to be the progenitor of the Chosen Nation. What does it mean to you to be part of the Chosen Nation?
This Sunday we look at the application of Yahweh's incomparably character and power as that which stands at the heart of the covenant which He made with His people, and how God's character and power are to shape the way Israel thought of themselves, the nations around them and how they were to be a people wholly other from the nations of the earth, and wholly devoted to being unique throughout all the earth. An incomparable God who calls and leads an uncommon people, this who Israel was to be and the Church even to this day.

This episode discusses what it means to be the chosen nation. There are many confusions on this topic and today's verse clarifies what it means. Tune in for more!
RECORDED IN JERUSALEM - JULY 8, 2020 After the dreadful plague that killed 24,000 Israelites was eventually halted by the zealous act of Pinchas, God instructed Moses to tell the nation that they must “attack the Midianites, and defeat them!” Curiously, despite this clear instruction, we don’t find that Moses told the nation to do anything of the sort. Indeed, it is not until Parshat Mattot that the Israelites are finally told to “avenge the blood of Israel against the Midianites”. At this stage, however, the narrative shifts direction and has God instructing Moses to count the nation — the final count of the Book of Numbers. Rabbi Dunner shares a piece from the Nesivos Sholom, who has quite a different understanding of this instruction to “attack the Midianites” — an understanding that has profound implications for our spiritual wellbeing as God’s Chosen Nation, for our entry into the Promised Land, and for our understanding of the episode of Balak and Balaam in the previous Torah portion. Once again, the Nesivos Sholom offers a refreshing and original interpretation that gives us much to think about and reflect on in terms of our own personal faith journey. https://rabbidunner.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Nesivos-Sholom-Pinchas.pdf
We claim to be "One Nation Under God," but does that make us God's nation?
HASHEM created man with an innate sense of morality and an inborn need to do what is right and proper. One of the difficulties of acting ethically is that in the slippery slope of life that sense of right and wrong becomes dulled. It seems that in the business world this is more clearly felt, where the lines between what is considered honest and moral, and what isn't, quickly get blurred. In the post Enron era, when much of the business community is checking its moral compass, isn't it time for us, The Chosen Nation, to make sure that we are living our lives in accordance with the Torah's standards? In this Shmuz we are introduced to an overview of what the Torah considers the ethical approach for business dealings, and how to conduct our day to day affairs. When a person recognizes that he needs to lose weight, it isn't enough for him to read all the latest diet books and find a great plan - the person has to actually "do it." He has to go on that diet and stick to it. But "doing it" requires motivation, not just the initial motivation to begin, but long-lasting motivation that will withstand the tests of life, allowing changes in behavior to become permanent. Why is it that some people are able to maintain that positive focus and other aren't? Are there techniques for "getting motivated", and maintaining that sense of empowerment? This issue is especially relevant to us, the Chosen Nation. Our mandate is not only to change damaging personal habits, but to change our very nature, our character traits, and our approaches to life -- the types of spouses we are, the types of parents we are, the type of human beings we are. To do this, we must have a constant source of motivation and drive. Changing our very nature is difficult work. Where does this drive come from? How can we stay that motivated throughout life? In this third part of a three-part series on the mechanisms of change, we focus on using moments of inspiration and learn how to lock them in, so that we give ourselves the constant source of inspiration needed for change. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Recent studies show that in 2004, there were an estimated 44.5 million adult smokers in the United States, and 70% of them want to quit. Each year, 35% do attempt to stop, yet only 5% succeed -- clearly change isn't easy. Willpower alone isn't enough. A good program for change alone isn't enough. To make change permanent, we need outside help. Support groups are successful for this very reason. Weight Watchers reports that people who attend meetings lose three times as much weight as those who don't. Same program, same motivation. The only difference is the social component of support. Our goal as the Chosen Nation is not only to change destructive personal habits, but to change our very natures, our character traits, and our approaches to life -- the type of spouses we are, the type of parents we are, the type of human beings we. Clearly it is a formidable challenge- one that we were given a lifetime to tackle. And provided we have the motivation, systems and knowledge of how to change, we can accomplish it. In this second of a three part series on the mechanisms of change, we focus on how support systems function and how important they are in making change permanent. In the decades leading up to the Civil War, antebellum African Americans elites turned to the newspaper as a means of translating their belief in black “chosenness” into programs for black liberation. Benjamin Fagan’s The Black Newspaper and the Chosen Nation (University of Georgia Press, 2016) demonstrates how the belief that God had marked black Americans as his chosen people on earth became a central article of faith in many northern African American communities throughout the nineteenth century. Directed by varying understandings of black “chosenness,” black periodicals helped to frame public debate, shape the black public sphere and to define forms of respectability and strategies for racial uplift. Fagan joins podcast host James West to discuss many of the key protagonists and periodicals of his work in more detail, shedding new light on prominent editors such as Frederick Douglass, Samuel Cornish and Mary Ann Shadd, and important early black periodicals such as Freedoms Journal, the North Star and the Provincial Freeman. As Fagan ably demonstrates, the idea of black “chosenness” played a major role in the early development of the black press, and helped to shape broader understandings of freedom, equality and nationhood on both a translocal and transnational scale. James West is a historian of the twentieth century United States. His research focuses on African American business enterprise and print culture, with a particular interest in Chicago. His current book project examines the role of EBONY magazine as an outlet for popular black history. He tweets @chitownanddown. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Am Levadad Yishkon #8 – “Avraham Avinu: The Man, The Mission, The Challenge” by Rav Asher Haber We’ve reached the point in our series where we can begin to understand the reasons for the strange and almost incomprehensible entity known as “Am Yisrael”. After the events described in Parshiot Bereishit and Noach, the need for a Chosen Nation becomes clear, and Avram was picked to be the one to found that great nation. And yet, some very strange things happened to him that seem to undermine those goals.
