Alan Skorski recently sat down with Ruthie Blum, former Netanyahu speechwriter and senior contributing editor at JNS, to discuss her recent column, Hasbara And The Traitors Among Us. In it, Blum highlighted examples of prominent Israelis undermining the Jewish state's image abroad — including Channel 12 anchorwoman Yonit Levy, who accused the government of a “moral failure” rather than a PR failure, and former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who charged Netanyahu with conducting an “illegitimate war” for personal and political gain. Alan noted that this phenomenon is not unique to Israel. “In America,” he said, “we have our own share of Jewish leftists and progressives marching alongside Hamas supporters — and some are even considering voting for an antisemitic Islamist for Mayor of New York City.” Asked why today's Jewish Israel-bashers in Israel seem more vocal and dangerous, Blum traced the trend back to the late 1970s. Until 1977, Israel's political leadership leaned left, as the country was largely socialist. But regardless of ideology, all former prime ministers and generals were hawkish on security and foreign policy. That changed, she said, when Menachem Begin's Likud Party came to power, sparking resentment among parts of the left. Unlike in America's volunteer military, Blum noted, Israel's universal draft means that left-leaning citizens serve alongside more hawkish peers — and some bring their political hostility into the public sphere. The conversation also turned to Israel's public diplomacy, or hasbara. Some have urged the government to hire a “well-financed” PR team to counter the flood of anti-Israel propaganda. But Blum argued that respected voices such as Douglas Murray, Colonel Richard Kemp, and Mosab Hassan Yousef can often deliver Israel's case more effectively than official representatives. She emphasized that the propaganda war is less about rapid rebuttals and more about the sheer numbers and funding behind “Palestinianist” messaging. Ultimately, she said, “the best PR will be victory” — defeating Hamas, rescuing hostages, and restoring security. Addressing reports from liberal outlets that IDF troops are “exhausted” after nearly two years of fighting, Blum countered that many reservists and veterans — even those with severe injuries — are eager to return to service. “They want the job finished so Hamas can never threaten Israel again,” she said. -VIN News Alan Skorski Reports 18AUG2025 - PODCAST

Dr. Kedar also served for 25 years in the IDF Military Intelligence Unit specializing in Syria, Arab political discourse, Arab mass media, Islamic groups, and Israeli Arabs. As someone who is fluent in Arabic, Dr. Kedar is often invited onto Arab and Muslim news programs to give his perspective on the news of the day, especially during times of war and conflict. 30 years ago, Dr. Kedar proposed the “8-state” solution to address the Israeli conflict with those Arabs identifying as Palestinian, having recognized what most of the world refused to, that there can never be and will never be a “2 -State solution” with any faction or offshoot of the PLO or Fatah. In the interview, Skorski reminded the audience that we are coming up on 700 days since the Hamas Muslim Brotherhood slaughtered over 1200 Israeli citizens and kidnapped over 250 innocent hostages on October 7, 2023. Since then, the IDF has surgically crushed the infrastructures in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. The media and so-called “humanitarian groups,” have focused all their attention on Gaza, accusing Israel of war crimes and genocide for allegedly withholding food from Gaza's civilians. In response, the morally bankrupt leaders in Europe, led by France and Britain, and followed by Canada, have threatened to recognize “Palestine” as some sort of punishment against Israel. These leaders claim that only a “2-state” solution will lead to peace and security. Never mind that the Palestinian Authority has rejected every offer made to them, and that Gaza was an independent state, NO PALESTINIAN leader is even calling for “2 states.” From the River to the Sea, opposes 2 states. There is only solution, intifada Revolution rejects 2 states. YET, Europe, western media, and many Democrats in America are calling for a “Palestine” that Palestinians don't want. In early July, the Wall Street Journal reported that Sheikh Wadee' al-Jaabari and four other prominent clan leaders from Hebron had signed a letter pledging peace and full recognition of Israel as a Jewish state. Their plan: Hebron would secede from the Palestinian Authority, establish an independent emirate, and join the Abraham Accords. With this news report, Dr. Kedar's 30 year-old prophecy resurfaced with renewed interest for his “8-state” solution, which would cut out the Palestinian terrorist leadership, and replace them with Arab tribal leaders to rule over themselves in designated Arab-run territories. Dr. Kedar cited Countries where clans have their own separate autonomy are more successful. We see this in countries such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, that have economic stability, safety, law, and order. These countries, by no coincidence, are run by clans: al-Sabah (Kuwait), al-Thani (Qatar), al-Nahayan (Abu Dhabi), al-Saud (Saudi Arabia), al-Hashem (Jordan), and so on. Compare these to the Arab countries where the clans are in disarray, such as Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran. To those of us in the hawkishly pro-Israel camp, the name Hillel Fuld is well known as an unapologetic supporter of Israel and the Jewish people, but in early June, the government of Australia, quite possibly, made Hillel Fuld the most prominent Jew on the planet. Invited to speak at a fundraiser for Magen Dovid Adom about how Israel is a world leader in high tech innovation, the Australian Department of Home Affairs revoked his visa days before he was set to depart from Israel. His crime? They justified their decision on the grounds that he might use the platform to incite hatred “against the Islamic community” based on his social media commentary about the Israel-Hamas war. These baseless allegations were based on tweets and other social media posts made by Hillel, including: “There was no massacre (of Gazans) in the humanitarian zone in Gaza,” which was later confirmed by the Washington Post and other “mainstream” media outlets. Hillel also posted that in a world where there are 1.8-2 billion Muslims, and according to polls and all available data, 10-15% of them are radical Islamists, that means there are hundreds of millions of violent Islamist extremists dedicated to destroying the West, “so it is NOT an irrational fear or “Islamophobic” to fear them.” According to Hillel, after several failed attempts to have his Visa ban rescinded, using diplomatic and media support, including a letter from US Ambassador Mike Huckabee, he said that he felt like he was “experiencing 1930's Germany level of antisemitism.” Just to gain a little perspective on what life is like for Jews in Australia living under a government SO concerned about public discourse and harmony, Jewish Australians experienced more than 2,000 anti-Jewish incidents between October 2023 and September 2024, including shul and Jewish day school bombings. In February of 2025, two Muslim nurses bragged on social media about killing or wanting to kill Jewish patients. Under PM Albanese, Australia has adopted a more critical tone toward Israel in international forums. His government supported a U.N. General Assembly resolution in December that called on Israel to end what it described as its “unlawful presence” in the “Occupied Palestinian Territory,” including eastern Jerusalem. According to Imam Salima El Musalima, a Sufi Muslim and the Netherlands' first female Imam, the Koran supports Israel as the Jewish homeland. During the interview, she cited the Koran, Surah Al-Isra (Qur'an 17:104) "And We said after Pharaoh to the Children of Israel, 'Dwell in the land, and when the promise of the Hereafter comes to pass, We shall bring you forth in a mixed crowd.'" The literal interpretation gives us a direct command of Allah for the Jews to live in the land. During the interview, Imam Salima El Musalima – a strong admirer of the Lubavitcher Rebbe – said that “traditional Islam is very inclusive.” Up until the 15th century the majority faith in the Middle east was Christian, and that Judaism played a prominent and essential role in Moroccan culture. Islam in Morocco was founded by the Idrasids, who were direct descendants of the prophet Muhammed. This sect of Islam continues today in Morocco, and Sufi Islam is the foundation of the Idrasids. Imam Salima stated that today's radical Islamists in the Shia, Sunni, and Wahhabi sects, originated in Sufiism, but perverted the Koran to justify violence against Jews, Christians, and the West. The Imam describes herself as an avant-garde Islamic artist who uses her art to bring her closer to Allah. She described her struggle to understand the war in Gaza by creating two fictional characters in her mind; a settler she calls Shlomo, and a Hamas supporter named Salim. Interview with Dr. Hank Sheinkopf, Prominent Democratic pollster and consultant, who was recently featured in a Wall Street Journal article titled, Can Anyone Stop Zohran Mamdani? Dr. Sheinkopf has worked on an estimated 700 political domestic and international political campaigns. June 24, 2025 will go down in history as the day that New York City, the Big Apple, experienced a political earthquake never seen before. A 33 year old Zohran Mamdani, with ZERO government experience, shook the City and beyond to its core, by winning the Democratic primary for New York City. A young man, whose ideology is the furthest to the left that we have ever witnessed. Not only is he a virulent antisemite in a City that has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, but his platform goes against EVERYTHING New York is about; From promising rent control to opening government run grocery stores, to promising free buses, free childcare, strengthening New York City's status as a “sanctuary city,” and defunding the police. All of these issues and more, will be paid for, according to Mamdani, by raising taxes on billionaires, whom he said, shouldn't exist. He was the founder of the antisemitic group, Students for Justice in Palestine, while attending Bowdoin College, he has refused to denounce “globalize the intifada,” which is a call for violence against the Jews worldwide, supports the BDS movement to delegitimize the State of Israel, and even vowed, though he has no standing, to have Israel's PM arrested when he comes to New York. And lest anyone think that he is the typical leftist who is rebellious against his parents, his father is a professor at Columbia University, who believes that “suicide bombers” are a legitimate weapon of war, and that they are soldiers, not terrorists. Mamdani has also said he would appoint former disgraced, antisemitic Congressman, Jamaal Bowman as his Chancellor of Education. As of this Broadcast, there are 3 candidates challenging Mamdani to be the Mayor. Andrew Cuomo, the former disgraced Governor who was forced to resign over sexual harassment allegations, current Mayor Eric Adams who is running as an Independent, and Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa. The problem is, if 2 of them don't withdraw their candidacies, Mamdani is all but guaranteed victory this November. In the interview, Dr. Sheinkopf said, "Mamdani is not a Democrat, he is a Socialist who, with his millions, is "trying to hijack a bankrupt Democratic Party that now stands for nothing." According to Sheinkopf, the reason Mamdani was able to win the nomination during the primaries was thanks to a small group of people, who are generally young, who don't like those in power...but believe they are entitled to take over the world. "They are the most pampered generation in history!" "So in Mamdani, they found a candidate who never had a tough job, never worked very hard, born with 2 silver spoons in his mouth, whose parents' house was subsidized by the taxpayers because Columbia U. pays no taxes, and his father is a Professor there. Dr. Sheinkopf went on to say that "Jewish New York is finished...it's only a question of when the lights get turned out." When asked about the influence of Jewish elected officials who are supporting Mamdani, Sheinkopf said, "(Congressman) Nadler should be tossed out immediately....Should have been gone a long time ago!" Sheinkopf lamented the "stupidity" of some Jewish Democrats who think they will be accepted by a Mamdani Administration, because they don't understand that this isn't about Israel, it's about defeating the West, whose values are steeped in everything Judaism stands for.
