The Israel News Talk Radio podcast is a fantastic source of information and entertainment for anyone interested in the happenings in Israel. With a variety of shows to choose from, there is something for everyone every day. The hosts, including Brian of London and Tamar Yonah, are interesting and knowledgeable, making appearances that add value to the discussions. It's refreshing to hear voices that don't regurgitate leftist talking points and instead offer straight talk on important issues.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the diverse range of guests that are invited onto the shows. Experts in various fields comment on different issues, providing informative and insightful perspectives. This adds depth and credibility to the discussions and allows listeners to gain a well-rounded understanding of the topics at hand.

However, one possible drawback is that some listeners may find certain shows or segments missing from the lineup. For example, some may miss Shai ben Tekoa's hard-hitting commentary on the conflict in Eretz Israel or his introduction to lesser-known Hebrew musicians. Bringing back beloved contributors like him could be a positive addition to the podcast.

In conclusion, The Israel News Talk Radio podcast is a great platform for those seeking news, views, and insights into Israeli affairs without a filtered perspective. The hosts provide no-nonsense, unfiltered reporting that goes beyond what mainstream U.S. media offers. With its informative yet entertaining content, this podcast is worth listening to if you want truth and substance about Israel. Overall, it's clear why many listeners appreciate this outstanding show and continue to support Israel News Talk Radio.

Former Undercover Agent Details Gaza Missions; The Real Life FAUDA: Interview With Tomer Tzaban - Alan Skorski Reports

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 12, 2026 50:07

Tomer Tzaban, a former Israeli counterterrorism operative who spent a decade conducting undercover missions in Gaza, has detailed his experiences in a podcast interview about his book, “The Ghosts of Rafah: An Undercover Counter-Terrorism Agent in the Heart of the Middle East Conflict.” Tzaban spoke with Alan Skorski on the Alan Skorski Reports podcast about his years with the elite Shimshon unit, where he served from 1986 to 1996. The unit operated undercover inside Gaza, with agents frequently assuming Arab identities and relying on disguises and carefully developed cover stories. Tzaban described operations that involved tracking terrorist suspects, preventing attacks and targeting members of armed groups. One operation involved a group of terrorists who, according to Tzaban, had disguised themselves as young Orthodox Jewish men as part of a plan to abduct Israeli soldiers and hold them for ransom. Tzaban also described an operation in which an intended target was located in a heavily populated area. The team abandoned the mission after a large number of children emerged from a nearby school, he said. Protecting civilians took precedence over completing the operation, consistent with the procedures under which the unit operated. Maintaining a convincing disguise required attention to details that went far beyond clothing and appearance. Tzaban said operatives had to understand local customs, speech patterns and even seemingly insignificant differences in daily life. He recalled that agents avoided strongly scented personal-care products because unfamiliar fragrances could make them appear out of place. Teams also worked with local Arabic speakers who could navigate regional dialects and social nuances. According to Tzaban, Gaza's different areas had distinct dialects, making language a potentially dangerous vulnerability. An operative could speak Arabic well and still attract attention by using words or pronunciation associated with another region. The conversation also touched on “Fauda,” the Israeli television series about undercover counterterrorism operatives. Tzaban said he knows several actors involved with the series and believes some of the show's early storylines drew heavily on the kinds of missions conducted by units such as Shimshon. His book recounts individual operations while also examining the personal cost of spending years working undercover. Tzaban described the constant pressure of maintaining a false identity and the psychological effects that could continue long after an operation ended. Tzaban also discussed security concerns in Europe, arguing that some extremist organizations have pursued strategies for decades that are now becoming more visible. He warned that Western countries, including the United States, should study those developments rather than wait until similar threats emerge at home. The interview concluded with a discussion of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and the intelligence failures that preceded it. Tzaban said the attack represented a profound turning point for Israel and had consequences that extended far beyond the immediate security failure, changing the way many Israelis and Jews view the country's security and the threat posed by Hamas. “The Ghosts of Rafah” draws on Tzaban's experiences to provide a firsthand account of Israel's undercover counterterrorism operations in Gaza during the 1980s and 1990s. Rahm Emmanuel Bashes Israel; The Sin of Sinas Chinum: Interview With JNS Senior Editor in Chief, Jonathan Tobin. - Alan Skorski Reports

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 4, 2026 29:03

JNS Senior Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Tobin told podcast host Alan Skorski that the truth remains the strongest weapon for supporters of Israel as Democratic leaders and some Jewish officials intensify criticism of the Jewish state. The interview focused on what Skorski described as a decades-long Democratic campaign against Israel, highlighted by former Obama adviser and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's recent trip to the country. During the visit, Emanuel told Israeli audiences that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had isolated Israel and that the longstanding U.S.-Israel relationship had essentially run its course. Skorski opened the discussion by reviewing earlier Democratic administrations. He recalled how President Bill Clinton pressed Israeli leaders to stay in the Oslo Accords despite Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat's repeated violations and calls for violence that contributed to the first and second intifadas. Under President Barack Obama, Skorski said, the White House deliberately created “daylight” between the United States and Israel. Obama likened Palestinian suffering to the Holocaust, the group J Street rose to prominence, and delegates at the 2012 Democratic National Convention booed recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Skorski asked Tobin about the responsibility to challenge Jewish officials such as Emanuel and groups including Jewish Voice for Peace and Neturei Karta. He connected the issue to sinat chinam—baseless hatred among Jews—that Jewish tradition links to the destruction of the Second Temple. Tobin's Tisha B'Av column, “Denial Inside the Modern Siege Lines,” argued that those who demonize Israel, rather than those who defend it, must internalize the holiday's lessons. Tobin said those who confront such critics hold the moral high ground. The conversation also addressed remarks by Caroline Glick at a recent JNS conference in Jerusalem, where she told the audience that “we still have the truth on our side.” When Skorski asked what that truth achieves, Tobin replied that it provides the moral authority to fight back and to mobilize Israel's supporters around the world. He added that debate is pointless with those who traffic in blood libels, because their aim is Israel's destruction rather than honest discussion. Tobin warned of a further danger from a new generation of “activist journalism” whose mission, he said, is to reshape both the United States and Israel according to its own ideological goals. The interview reinforced Tobin's position that publicly challenging Jewish voices aligned against Israel is both legitimate and essential to defending the Jewish state's security and legitimacy. The Ideological War Against Israel Is A War Against GD: Interview with Heritage Foundation Visiting Fellow, Luke Moon - Alan Skorski Reports

Alan Skorski recently interviewed ordained Minister and Heritage Foundation Visiting Fellow, Luke Moon, who returned to Heritage following the Tucker Carlson fiasco last year, in which President Kevin Roberts initially refused to distance the think tank from Tucker Cralson, following his interview with Holocaust denier, racist groyper, Nick Fuentes. During the interview, Moon said that he had several conversations with Carlson, who sought his counsel on how to shed the “antisemitism” label. After advising Carlson on the necessary steps needed to redeem himself, “Tucker doubled down on his antisemitism,” according to Moon. Luke returned to Heritage as a Visiting fellow to combat antisemitism, from both the right and left. Moon spent last decade focusing his attention on raising awareness about persecuted Christians in the Middle East and encouraging Christian support for Israel and the Jewish people. During the interview, Moon spoke about the Marxist/Islamist alliance. While taking about Wisconsin Gubernatorial candidate and other DSA candidates, the frequent refrain is, " "None of us are free until Palestine is free." Moon asks, "Why is it important for the DSA activists and candidates to declare this idea? It is because the liberation of Palestine means the end of Israel. And Israel is a stand-in for God. To destroy Israel is to destroy God which would bring about liberation from God's commands and expectations." Israel is the living testimony that the God of the Bible makes promises and keeps them. You cannot look at a reconstituted Jewish state in the ancient homeland — after two thousand years of exile — and call it a coincidence. It is a provocation to every worldview that denies a sovereign God who acts in history. Karl Marx was once asked who he hated the most in Britain and his answer was a British preacher named Charles Spurgeon. Spurgeon was a revivalist preacher who was leading thousands of working-class people to faith and taking away Marx's army. Marx hated him for it. Similarly, the Islamists demand total submission to Allah. The God revealed in scripture, particularly through Israel and the Church, is a rival truth claim that must be suppressed. When Islamists come to power, the churches and synagogues are destroyed. The ones that aren't destroyed are turned into museums or government-controlled PR outlets. Back in 2014, when I started advocating for Christians in the Middle East, there were over 450,000 Christians in Iraq. Twelve years later, there are less than 185,000. There are more Christians in Israel than Iraq. Alan Skorski Reports 16JULY2026 - PODCAST

50th Anniversary of The Rescue At Entebbe, Operation Yonatan, The Greatest Military Rescue in History: Interview with IDF General Matan Vilnai - Alan Skorski Reports

Alan Skorski sat down for an interview with former IDF General and paratroop commander, Matan Vilnai, who along with Muki Betser and Yonaton Netanyahu, led Israel's elite unit, the Sayeret Matkal, to perform the greatest military rescue of hostages in history. On June 27th 1976, a French airliner was hijacked en route from Israel to France. After stopping in Athens, the airliner was hijacked by members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and West German terrorists, then flown to Entebbe, Uganda, following a brief stopover in Libya. The hijackers demanded the release of 53 terrorists imprisoned in Israel, Kenya, and West Germany. In response, following failed attempts to get the hostages released through diplomatic channels, on July 3, Israel dispatched four Hercules cargo planes carrying over 100 soldiers, and escorted by Phantom jet fighters. While the planes were dispatched on July 3, the mission wasn't officially approved by the Knesset until they were in the air for 2.5 hours of a 7 hour flight. The mission itself took place on July 4. After flying roughly 2,500 miles from Israel to Uganda, the Israeli forces rescued the hostages within an hour after landing. During this historic rescue, 3 hostages were killed in the crossfire, and another hostage, Dora Bloch, was murdered by Ugandan troops while in a Ugandan hospital. The operation, initially code-named Operation Thunderbolt, was later renamed Operation Yonatan, after it's leader Yonatan Nentayahu was killed during the rescue. During the interview Skorski asked General Vilnai questions like where he was when news broke of the hijacking, what thoughts went through the minds of him and his colleagues about the potential of a successful rescue mission, and what his feelings are now, 50 years later. Listen to the interview for the real inside story of how the entire operation unfolded from beginning to end, and whom General Vilnai credits for the success of the mission, and what was the most important lesson learned from Entebbe. HOW HAMAS TARGETED COLLEGE STUDENTS AND WON THE PROPAGANADA WAR: Interview With Warren Kinsella - Alan Skorski Reports

Canadian political strategist, attorney and best-selling author Warren Kinsella described a highly organized, well-funded international effort to spread antisemitic propaganda and delegitimize Israel in the wake of the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre, during a recent interview with Alan Skorski. Kinsella, whose new book “The Hidden Hand: The Information War And The Rise Of Antisemitic Propaganda” is a national best-seller, pointed to the rapid emergence of 2,500 protests worldwide — even as Israel was still identifying its dead, injured and kidnapped — as evidence that the demonstrations were not organic expressions of outrage but part of a premeditated campaign. “The sameness in the protests with the same slogans and messages, even if in different languages, the professional signs, and their acting in a way that was almost with military precision,” Kinsella said. He cited toolkits distributed by groups like Students for Justice in Palestine that instructed participants on whom to call if arrested and assured them that legal expenses would be covered. “It was the organization, money, and coherence that you just don't see in an organic spontaneous response to an event. It was clear that this was a ‘campaign,'” he added. Kinsella traced elements of the strategy back decades, referencing a 1993 meeting between American Jewish activist Gary Wexler and Israeli-Arab NGO leader Ameer Makhoul around the time of the Oslo Accords. According to Kinsella, Makhoul told Wexler that Palestinians would mirror and surpass Zionist campus activism, summer programs in refugee camps, global organizations and PR efforts — ultimately securing more media coverage. “They watched Jewish activism for decades, including programs like Birthright, and created their own infrastructure to dominate an information war against Israel,” Kinsella said. The author emphasized that young people have been prime targets of Hamas and its allies in Iran, Russia and Qatar. He cited a Harris poll showing that 70% of young Americans were more sympathetic to Hamas than to Israel following the Oct. 7 atrocities. Kinsella highlighted Hamas's “binary communication strategy,” noting the terror group's ability to livestream its horrors for recruitment among Arab and Muslim audiences while simultaneously denying responsibility for the massacre and blaming Israel to Western audiences. On the political front, Kinsella wrote that activists understand city councils do not set foreign policy but serve as “pillars and building blocks” that can influence higher offices and ultimately shape federal policy. He rejected claims that criticism of Israel is merely about policy, stating the campaign is rooted in antisemitism. Kinsella also debunked the blood libel accusing Israel of “genocide” in Gaza, describing Hamas as experts at provoking Israeli responses that produce civilian casualties for propaganda purposes. A prime example of media bias cited in the book occurred during President Joe Biden's visit to Israel in solidarity after Oct. 7. A rocket struck a Gaza hospital that day, prompting immediate headlines from The New York Times and other outlets accusing Israel of bombing the facility and killing hundreds. The story was later corrected — the hospital was barely damaged, casualties were minimal, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad was responsible — but the damage had already been done globally. Kinsella recently visited Israel for the premiere of his upcoming documentary “The Campaign,” based on the book, which examines the effort to delegitimize Israel, threaten Jewish communities worldwide and undermine Western democracy. “First they come for the Saturday people, then they come for the Sunday people,” Kinsella warned. -VIN News Watch the Interview on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FARX18QRslI&t=14s Watch the Trailer for Waren Kinsella's upcoming documentary, The Campaign: https://www.campaigndoc.com/ Alan Skorski Reports 24JUNE2026 - PODCAST
