Laurie Cardoza-Moore, a prominent Christian Zionist leader ranked No. 2 on the Jerusalem Post's list of top 10 leading Christian Zionists, has resigned from her position at the Heritage Foundation after clashing with its president over the organization's refusal to cut ties with Tucker Carlson. Cardoza-Moore, founder and president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations and host of “Focus on Israel,” stepped down from her role on Heritage's task force to combat antisemitism. The move followed Heritage President Kevin Roberts' decision not to sever relations with Carlson after the former Fox News host interviewed Nick Fuentes, a self-described Hitler admirer. During the interview, Cardoza-Moore expressed frustration with Carlson's pattern of platforming critics of Israel and alleged antisemites since leaving Fox News. She cited his interview with Bethlehem Pastor Munther Isaac, whom she called a “fraud,” during which Isaac claimed Israel is “occupying Palestinian land.” Cardoza-Moore said she confronted Carlson directly after the interview, asking why he failed to challenge Isaac's statement. “You're a Christian, you've read your Bible, haven't you?” she recalled telling him. “You're supposed to be educated and informed.” According to Cardoza-Moore, Carlson dismissed the historical inaccuracy as unimportant. Tal Hartuv, a survivor of a brutal 2010 terrorist machete attack in the hills outside Jerusalem, is preparing to mark the 15th anniversary of the ordeal next month — as one of her assailants walks free under a hostage exchange with Hamas. Hartuv, then known as Kay Wilson, was leading a nature tour for her American friend Kristine Luken on Dec. 18, 2010, when two Palestinian terrorists ambushed the women. The attackers bound and gagged them, tormenting them for half an hour before stabbing Luken to death. Hartuv survived by playing dead after being repeatedly slashed with a serrated machete. In a recent interview with podcaster Alan Skorski, Hartuv detailed the horror and her long road to recovery, chronicled in her memoir The Rage Less Traveled: A Memoir of Surviving a Machete Attack. “I was forced to my knees while he stabbed me over and over,” Hartuv recalled. “I watched my friend die. Miraculously, I lived.” The attack left Hartuv with severe physical injuries and PTSD. She later confronted her attackers in court and legally changed her name from Kay Wilson to Tal Hartuv to distance herself from being perpetually labeled a “victim of terrorism.” “It made my skin crawl,” she said of the constant reminder. “Changing my name let me live as a survivor, not shackled to that day.” Hartuv's story has resurfaced amid controversy: One of the convicted terrorists was released from Israeli prison as part of a November 2025 deal to free hostages held by Hamas. Col. Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, praised Hartuv in a book endorsement: “An ‘ordinary' woman who resisted terrorists, battled for her life, struggled with appalling injuries and PTSD, confronted her assailants in court, and went on to fight against governments that fund terrorist violence.” The memoir, called a “must-read” by supporters, is described as both horrific and uplifting. Retired Israeli Ambassador Yoram Ettinger warned in an interview that the United States and Israel are misplacing focus on Gaza and proxy groups while the core danger remains Iran, which he likened to a swamp spawning mosquitoes. “Chasing Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah is like chasing mosquitoes coming out of the Ayatollah's swamp,” Ettinger told interviewer Alan Skorski. The comments come after President Trump's 20-point Middle East peace plan and a joint U.S.-Israel operation inside Iran on June 13 that severely damaged Tehran's capabilities. Despite the setback, Ettinger said Russia, China and North Korea continue to rearm the Islamic Republic, endangering Israel and all U.S. interests in the region, including oil-producing Arab states. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance and top U.S. generals have visited Israel since the June strike, Ettinger noted. A 2026 threat assessment jointly compiled by the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and Director of National Intelligence warns that Iran, Russia and China are expanding sleeper-cell terror networks inside the United States, the ambassador said. On Palestinian statehood, Ettinger cited decades of PLO violence — from the 1960s and 1970s in Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon to the 1990s when Yasser Arafat's group backed Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait despite Kuwait hosting hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with full rights. “Every Arab country knows what a Palestinian state would mean,” he said. Saudi Arabia and others publicly tie normalization with Israel to Palestinian statehood, but Ettinger called it “talking the talk, not walking the walk.” President Trump's recent declaration against Israeli annexation of the West Bank is temporary and diplomatic, not a permanent endorsement of a future Palestinian state there, Ettinger said. Mauro originally broke the news during an interview with Glenn Beck, who for years has warned Americans about Soros' dangerous ties to anti-Israel and anti-American movements. In a 90-page report titled Exclusive: Soros' Open Society Gave Terrorist and Pro-Terror Groups Over $80 Million, Mauro documents how since 2016, Soros' Open Society—now operated alongside his son Alexander—funneled more than $80 million into extremist groups. According to Mauro, “The evidence is stark: Open Society has sent millions of dollars into U.S.-based organizations that engage in ‘direct actions' the FBI defines as domestic terrorism.” The investigation breaks down Soros' funding into three categories: Direct Assistance to Domestic Terrorism: At least $23.2 million to seven groups engaged in violence, property destruction, sabotage, and other FBI-defined domestic terrorism. Support for Terrorism Abroad: Over $50.5 million to 41 groups that endorsed attacks such as Hamas' October 7 massacre or are tied to foreign terror groups. Associates of Terrorist Groups: More than $9.3 million to five organizations that provide material assistance to pro-terrorism networks, even while condemning attacks publicly. Among the groups cited in the report is the BlackOUT Collective, which published a pro-Hamas guide glorifying the October 7 attacks and providing detailed instructions on illegal actions including property destruction, using fake IDs, evading police, seizing assets, and blockades—all of which qualify as domestic terrorism. Other beneficiaries include Movement for Black Lives (at least $18 million) and Dream Defenders ($1.85 million), which partnered with BlackOUT Collective to produce the pro-Hamas guide using Ruckus Society materials. Even the New York Times acknowledged the merits of Mauro's findings, which multiple outlets have covered. Following the revelations, President Trump's DOJ has reportedly launched an investigation into George Soros, his son Alex, and the Open Society Foundations. Mauro told Skorski that the American public must understand the danger of allowing billions of dollars in foreign-backed influence operations to support groups working hand-in-hand with terrorist movements: “This is not just political activism. Alan Skorski sat down for an in-depth interview with Leah Harris, activist/spokesperson for Mothers Of The IDF Combat Soldiers Organization, who has appeared numerous times before the Israeli Knesset demanding that the Government take harsher measures against Gaza so that Israel can win the war, defeat Hamas, bring back our hostages, and allow the soldiers and their families begin to heal from the trauma they have all suffered through a war that seems to not have a game plan to win. Leah is the mother of 5 soldiers, each who have served hundreds of days since October 7, and is the mother-in-law to another 2 reserve soldiers. Their message is very clear: The lives of our soldiers must always take precedence over the lives of our enemies! Early in the interview, Alan asked Leah about a quote from her Knesset appearance on September 8; You said before the Knesset: Why is it “normal” and acceptable that so many of my grandchildren need therapy now, because their fathers haven't been home for much of the last 2 years? I have one son who just finished 460 (!!) days of reserve duty - leaving his wife, children and business behind - because he knows that it's a noble cause, but the price is great. They are willing to continue serving their country, but they want to know that their service is meaningful. That they are being given the tools to actually win this war. Later in the interview, Leah addressed a common concern from many Israeli's who have sacrificed so much, and are asked to provide safe haven and protection for aide going into Gaza: My son-in-law is on reserve duty in Gaza now. He left his family from the end of July through the entire holiday season, until the end of October. I spoke to him, and he said - “I'm willing to do this, but did I really leave my wife and children in order to provide security for those endless trucks going straight into the hands of Hamas, and putting me and my fellow soldiers in danger?? That's what I left my family for?? And even when we see the armed Hamas terrorists taking over the trucks, we're not allowed to shoot them, unless we have written orders from above!!” Leah said that she has been well-received by Knesset member from Likud and those politicians on the Right, but treated most rudely by some members from Yesh Atid. When asked if she has met with families of the hostages, many of whom just want their family back, she said that some of them agree with her, that winning the war and defeating Hamas comes before anything else, while other hostage families see the release of their loved ones as the first and most important priority.
