In this episode, I interview Phil Mains, the CFO at Pat McAfee Inc. Pat McAfee Inc. is the overarching umbrella entity that covers the finances of all of Pat McAfee's post career ventures. He has built numerous shows from the ground up, and now has a combination of verticals going live on YouTube, distributed through the likes of Westwood One and DAZN, and most recently through various FanDuel platforms. Additionally, he has deals with numerous other notable companies such as Seat Geek and Manscaped, and has built a charity based around providing scholarships to military families. Any and all of this goes through one other man at one point or another, and that's Phil Mains. He takes us through his journey with Pat, working with these brands, and how they built this company from the ground up. He can be reached at: Twitter - @philmains Instagram - @philmains
Our guest this time is a stand-up comedian, retired Indiana State Detective, a Veteran of the Marine Corps, a single Dad, and all-around good guy Todd McComas spent 2+ hours talking with us, and literally answered every question we threw at him! He opens up by setting the record straight on his departure from Pat McAfee Inc. and his current (excellent) relationship with Pat McAfee and the Heartland crew. Todd explains how he lived 30 years without the internet, and then advanced the Indiana State Patrol through the internet boom. He shared some amazing stories about his time as a rookie cop all the way through his detective days. Those stories as a cop lead us into talking about one of his three new podcasts, 10-41; which is his brand new True-Crime podcast. Marco's girlfriend (Babysitter) Bree was also on with us and she's been waiting since the first episode dropped to ask Todd questions about her theories on the case he's profiled. We talked about a million subjects, but the new podcasts 10-41, Doc Heads, and Fun Town are all hosted by Todd, were a lot of fun to talk about. We can't wait to follow along with Todd's comedy and podcast career and definitely encourage everybody who listens to check him out. Thanks for listening- please like, subscribe and review! Cheers!! It's Paddy Prizefight this week! This week we had to include our expert (2 Barstoolers with a combined record of 0-0) analysis on the huge Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor fight in Las Vegas. Myself and Gerard O'Leary also chatted about our cracker of a day at the DraftKings Fantasy Sports Fest in Gillette Stadium. We got to chat with comedians/podcasters Michael Rapaport and Pat McAfee Inc. and meet the big man himself Rob Gronkowski -Gronk in rather fortunate circumstances.
