She joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in 2012 and has served in multiple investigative and leadership roles, including STAR Team Investigator, Special Assignment Team (SAT) member, Assistant State Director for Colorado, and Colorado MUFON State Director (2020–2023).Paige has also contributed to the preservation of MUFON's historical archives through her work with the MUFON Anomaly Research and Reporting System (MARRS), part of Project Aquarius. The archive originated in 2006 under then-MUFON International Director James Carrion and incorporates early MUFON and Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) records, along with private collections donated by Walt Andrus and John Schuessler. Between 2014 and 2015, Clifford Clift and Debbie Ziegelmeyer organized and categorized the archive, and in 2016, Ken St. John developed the MARRS redaction system to support ethical access. In 2017, Paige was appointed MARRS Administrator and Team Lead. MARRS now operates as one of six active Project Aquarius research rooms under the direction of Robert Spearing and his team.Paige is the director of Rocky Mountain Ranch Research, which she founded to investigate the Colorado property historically known as Clearview Ranch in the APRO case files, a site recognized for long-term anomalous activity that predates the Skinwalker Ranch case by more than a decade. Her investigative work has been featured in documentaries and television programs, including Beyond Skinwalker Ranch, The UnXplained with William Shatner, UFO Witness, Beyond Belief with George Noory, On the Trail of UFOs: Night Visitors, UFOs Revisited, and Ron James's films Accidental Truth. This episode features Dr. Glen Broderick and Dr. May Beth Hall, speakers at the 2025 ADSA Ruminant Nutrition Symposium: Anomalies in Analyzed Nutrient Composition of Feedstuffs.Dr. Broderick's presentation was titled “Protein analysis methodology.” The high points of his talk include recommendations for nitrogen analysis in feeds, potential improvements in determining protein degradability and undegradability in the rumen, and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) analysis of amino acid composition of feedstuffs. (7:57)Dr. Hall's presentation was titled “Success and continuing challenges in analyzing nonfiber carbohydrates.” She gives some history of the analysis of non-fiber carbohydrates and talks about starch assays and how water-soluble carbohydrates are not solely composed of sugars. She also explains how microbes make decisions on which substrates to ferment and which to store for later. (12:47)The panelists talk about challenges in obtaining real-time nutrient analyses in order to make ration changes. They recommend using rolling averages rather than a single sample and using milk urea nitrogen as a way to evaluate if something is not quite right with a ration. (21:17)Dr. Broderick notes he recommends that scientists no longer use the Kjeldahl method of nitrogen analysis, that we look for new or alternative methodology other than in situ digestibility to determine protein degradability, and that NIR analysis of amino acids be used to make ration decisions when calibrated for the feedstuff under consideration. (27:10)Dr. Hall recommends using the appropriate carbohydrate standard when measuring water-soluble carbohydrates: sucrose for fresh forages, fructose for cool-season grasses with high fructan content, etc. She also notes that some feeds, like bakery waste or amylase-modified grain, contain soluble starch, which shows up in both the starch category and the water-soluble category in a feed analysis, essentially double-dipping. Lastly, she suggests that nonfiber carbohydrates remain a bit of a nutritional black box and we continue to learn more with improved technology. (29:36)Panelists share their take-home thoughts. His initial interest in Bigfoot began when he was 12 when he checked out a book from the library on the subject. But all that was put on the back burner for years until the interest was resurrected with the cable TV shows popping up about 15 or so years ago.He thought the shows were interesting, and did a little research on the subject at that time which led him to the BFRO website and database. With Missouri being listed a number of times, his interest peaked some more. But it wasn't until 2019 when he discovered a track way of footprints about 20 miles from his home in Cape Girardeau. Goetz Professor of Behavioral Science, Economics and Applied AI and a Vasilou Faculty Scholar at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he has taught Negotiations and Behavioral Economics. He is a Faculty Affiliate of the Center for Applied AI and the Human Capital & Economic Opportunity, an NBER Faculty Research Associate, and a CESifo Research Network Fellow. He is also an Associate Editor at the Journal of the European Economic Association and on the editorial board of Psychological Science. Alex studies behavioral economics with a focus on how people understand and mentally represent the choices they are facing. His research explores topics related to how people learn and make choices in settings with risk and uncertainty. He also studies the economics of artificial intelligence and discrimination. Alex's work utilizes a variety of methods, including controlled laboratory experiments, field experiments, analysis of observational data and theoretical modeling. Alex Imas is the recipient of the 2023 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, the Review of Financial Studies Rising Scholar Award, the New Investigator Award from the Behavioral Science and Policy Association, the Hillel Einhorn New Investigator Award from the Society of Judgment and Decision Making, the Distinguished CESifo Affiliate Award, and the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. He is the co-author, with Richard Thaler, of The Winner's Curse: Behavioral Economics Anomalies, Then and Now (Simon and Schuster, 2025). Standard economic theory informs how we think about business strategy and the economy and presumes that people are selfish, have well-defined preferences, and consistently make welfare-maximizing choices. In other words, we are rational. But what if that is not the case?Nobel Prize-winning economist Richard Thaler is out with an updated edition of his bestselling 1991 book, "The Winner's Curse: Paradoxes and Anomalies of Economic Life." In the new edition, he and his co-author Alex Imas (both professors at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business) reflect on the last thirty years of behavioral economics and how it makes sense of tensions between our psychological biases and impulses that make us less than fully rational in practice. Using a wealth of empirical evidence, the authors explore the behavioral anomalies that contradict the expectations of standard economic theory and explain a wide range of real-world examples from banking crises to social media addiction.Earlier this month, Thaler joined Bethany and Luigi for a sold-out Capitalisn't recording in front of a live audience in Chicago to walk through the anomalies of human behavior that have endured from biblical times to the age of Big Tech. Thaler reflects on how views and the adoption of behavioral economics have changed over the last thirty years, both within academia and beyond (wonder why you can't put down your phone?
