In the sixty-second episode of Making Mt. Rushmore, host/moderator Steve Riddle welcomes Jeremy Nichols to discuss which Bio Pics deserve a place on their respective lists. Is Schindler's List a no-brainer? What about Goodfellas? Does Hacksaw Ridge grab a spot? Does The Founder and The Mule deserve a place? After that, they discuss which Movie Remakes will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that A Star is Born (2018) shouldn't get a spot? Will True Grit (2010) be included? Is Casino Royale (2006) in the conversation? What about Scarface (1983) or Friday the 13th (2009)?

How heavy is too heavy when it comes to your Disney or Universal park bag? This week, John, Dayna, and Shawn go head-to-head in the ultimate packing debate: the over-prepared pack mule
Hosts Kevin and Alex navigate a rainy, warm Thursday, providing weather, sports, and political updates. Senator Tim Sheehy's "common sense" approach to politics—secure borders, safe streets, cops are good, criminals are bad, boys are boys, and girls are girls—is praised as the antidote to Washington's chaos. The Supreme Court's debate on redistricting is featured, with a critique of Justice Sotomayor's views. In a bombshell report, Sandra Smith discusses how drug cartels are placing bounties on the heads of ICE agents. The show also features Bridget Riedel giving a surprising lesson on equine genetics, and Steve Carney offers an update on deer hunting and fishing conditions, noting the lack of ducks due to warm weather. Political & Social Headlines Common Sense Warrior: Senator Tim Sheehy is hailed as a common-sense rock star, with hosts praising his simple statement of core American values: "Secure borders, safe street, cheap gas, cops are good, criminals are bad, boys are boys, and girls are girls". His background as a Navy SEAL and successful businessman who doesn't have to be in politics is highlighted. Cartel Bounties: A report from Sandra Smith's America Reports details how drug cartels are putting bounties on the heads of ICE agents. Nancy Pelosi's "Shut Up" Moment: Former House leader Nancy Pelosi is heavily criticized for her physical and cognitive state, particularly after snapping "Shut up!" at a reporter asking a simple question. The Race Card & Redistricting: The hosts criticize Democrats for using race in redistricting, arguing that voters of all colors are tired of victimhood and affirmative action. Agricultural & Outdoors Report Equine Genetics Class: Bridgette Readel gives a surprise lesson in livestock genetics: A Mule is the product of a male donkey (jackass) and a female horse (mare). A Hinny is the offspring of a male horse (stallion) and a female donkey (jenny). Mules and hinnies are almost always sterile. Hunting & Fishing: Outdoors expert Steve Carney is seeing "scrapes" (where bucks paw the ground and rub scent) in the woods, indicating that the rutting season (best hunting) is about three weeks away. He notes that duck hunting is pathetic due to the lack of cold weather , but fishing is excellent as it's the best time of year for walleye. Weather, Sports, and Culture Rainy Thursday: The morning starts with rain and thunder, and is expected to reach a high of 69°F. Drivers are warned…

Sermon for Sunday, October 12, 2025 - 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Novus Ordo Mass)
Homily from the Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Break the cycle and build your life on a relationship with the God who saved your life. We often find ourselves in the same cycle as many people in the Bible: We find ourselves in desperate need, we cry out to God, He answers, we thank Him...and then we forget. There is a way to break this cycle and build our lives on a relationship with the God who saved our lives. Mass Readings from October 12, 2025: 2 Kings 5:14-17 Psalm 98:1, 2-3, 3-42 Timothy 2:8-13 Luke 17:11-19

This is the show Rochester turns to when it wants to laugh, to look at the real world situations going on all around us and get a real perspective. Through the example of an unnamed, untrained donkey, we're reminded that God can use us despite our location, limitations, or lack. The real question is: Are we willing to carry Jesus into our community, even if no one knows our name? Pastor Jeremy discusses what it means to embrace humility and purpose.

MULE CONFORMATION - MEREDITH HODGES - LUCKY THREE RANCHThe ideal qualities to look for in a mule. What to look for in the ideal head, neck, and shoulders of the mule. Both the mare and the jack contribute to the qualities desired in the mule. Be selective in your breeding program to produce desirable mules.Bone structure is important when selecting a mule for a job or performance. The mule should have an overall balanced look to its body. Pay attention to the hip, stifle, and gaskin, which should have a smooth, muscled look.Mules and donkeys possess more "long" muscle than bulk muscle (as in the horse).Pay attention to the legs of the mule, the hooves, the rib cage, joints, etc.The most important trait of the mule is his disposition; this characteristic comes primarily from the mare. Matthew McConaughey vs. revolving doors, Jackie Chan's father living off dog food, and Joe DiMaggio's lifelong love for Marilyn Monroe might sound random, but they all lead to one of the biggest broken promises in U.S. History. After the Civil War, newly freed Black people were guaranteed 40 acres and a mule -- This episode of IDKMYDE dives into: what that promise meant, who snatched that guarantee away, and how its betrayal still echoes today.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ken and Dave discuss the Kimmel kerfuffle, Kamala says Americans are homophobic, two more in the Georgia Gubernatorial race, the charges are piling up for a small town councilman, another city getting the National Guard, never ending government shutdown talk, AOC's dreams, and teaching teachers about consequences. Headline Topics College Football: Analysis of Georgia Tech's win over Clemson and the decision to rush the field and tear down the goalposts. Plus, discussion of the Florida quarterback's five interceptions against LSU. Turning Point USA: Erica Kirk is elected CEO, an expected move given her relationship to Charlie Kirk and her sharp qualifications, including several degrees. Robert Redford: Remembering the late actor (who passed at 89) and his fantastic movies, including The Sting and Sneakers. Tax Incentives Ending: The September 30th deadline for electric car tax incentives (up to $7,500) and the year-end deadline for Energy Star appliances like HVAC systems. Late Night Controversy: Jimmy Kimmel's show being pulled following comments by Trump; whether the move was due to government pressure (a First Amendment issue) or Kimmel's consistently poor ratings. Kamala Harris VP Pick: Discussion of Harris claiming she wanted Pete Buttigieg as her running mate but felt the public was too "racist and homophobic" to accept him. 2026 Governor's Race: Jeff Duncan throws his hat in the ring as a Democrat (seen as a publicity stunt) and Brad Raffensperger announces his run for Secretary of State, expected to be a strong challenger. Theodore Hamby Charges: The suspended Gton city councilman faces multiple felony charges for misusing a city credit card, with a potential maximum sentence of 40 years. National Guard in Memphis: Deployment of the National Guard to Memphis due to high crime; local businesses are supportive (offering free food and cover charges) while some city council members object. Government Shutdown: Congress is struggling to pass a short-term CR by the October 1st deadline, contributing to the feeling of public numbness to the ongoing threat of a shutdown. AOC's Future: Positioning for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) to run for President or the US Senate in 2028. Mule of the Week Attorney General Pam Bondi is named the Mule of the Week for suggesting the federal government should go after those who engage in "hate speech," demonstrating a clear misunderstanding of the First Amendment's protections for speech the government dislikes. Social Media Ramifications A discussion of Cobb County teachers who were suspended or fired for controversial social media posts, highlighting the consequences for public sector employees who post hateful content online.

In this episode of the Western Rookie Podcast, Dan and Stanley Lewandowski discuss the intricacies of mule deer hunting, particularly in September. They cover various aspects such as deer behavior, the importance of water sources, food identification, terrain navigation, effective glassing techniques, stocking strategies, and the impact of weather on deer activity. Stanley shares valuable tips for new hunters, emphasizing the significance of patience and understanding deer patterns to increase success in the field. Takeaways: September is a prime time for mule deer hunting. Mule deer are primarily feeding in the early morning and late evening. Water sources are crucial, especially in dry conditions. Look for green vegetation as mule deer are selective eaters. Get high and glass for better visibility of deer. Change angles when glassing to spot hidden deer. Patience is key; waiting for the right moment can yield better results. Weather changes can significantly affect deer movement. Property edges often hold more deer than the middle of open areas. Understanding the 'red zone' is essential for successful stalking. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
