Congress is considering legislation on credit cards, and the future of your credit card rewards could hang in the balance. Paul Weinstein, a senior fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute and Brian Kelly, founder of The Points Guy website, join the podcast to discuss a proposed bill that would regulate US credit cards. We discuss the guts of how credit cards work, why Americans are used to getting points or airline miles back on every purchase but Europeans are not, and how proposed legislation to lower credit card interchange fees would impact banks, airlines, merchants, consumers, and ultimately your points balance. Can you believe it's been over 20 episodes of our gaming/chiptune podcast and we HAVEN'T had an actual chip musician on to interview?? Well, it's time to fix that! That's right, this week we are talking to one of the OGs (and the artist who introduced Jared to chiptune), Philly's own Paul Weinstein aka Chipocrite. We talk about discovering the medium, getting involved with the community scene, and the differences between writing music for games versus standalone songs. Naturally the songs this week come from Chipocrite too! LINKS:
Radically Pragmatic, a podcast from the Progressive Policy Institute
On a bonus Radically Pragmatic Podcast episode, Paul Weinstein, Jr., Senior Policy Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute, sits down with Rep. Seth Moulton (MA-06), for a special conversation about infrastructure development and high-speed rail. Congressman Moulton serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, as well as the House Budget and Armed Services Committees. They discuss the need for more high-speed rail funding in the American Jobs Plan, the history of public and private investment in high-speed rail, and the potential for growth of high-speed rail projects across the country. Representative Moulton recently introduced a new bill, the American High-Speed Rail Act, which would invest $205 billion federal dollars into high-speed rail and create at least 2.6 million direct American jobs over five years. He shares his story and his collection with us. Thanks again to our sponsors; AMES PERFORMANCE AUTO SMART TTA PERFORMANCE Sign up to be a member of the Cruisin' Tigers Pontiac Club here

Show host Mark Zander talks with Paul Weinstein of The Cruisin' Tigers Pontiac Club and Don Keefe, Editor of Poncho Perfection about their connection to Pontiac's and what you can expect from this new and exclusive podcast focused on the Pontiac hobby!
On this episode of V8 Radio, Mike Clarke and Kevin Oeste reflect on the day this episode was recorded, which happened to be September 11. The whole show is not somber, however… not by any stretch, as they discuss the merits of swapping a 180 HP Olds 403 in favor of a hot 500 HP LS3 into a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Mike also chats with Paul Weinstein at the 29th annual Indian Uprising All Pontiac Show! And this show’s trivia question is absolutely epic… especially Q-Ball’s guess!

Sorry for the late episode, (recorded 7/10/12), but its the summer, and vacations happen! Tons of Fallout: New Vegas DLC was on sale (you've played that, right?), but the biggest news was the new Android powered console, Ouya, which has seen amazing success on Kickstarter. Or maybe it was the announcement of Greenlight, a new service on Steam where fans can vote to have their favorite developers or games appear or the service.
