And though the game may be over, the totally bonk jams are just

Another episode ending on the number 5 means 'One Hit Wonders and Remixes', which has a slightly different definition of 'one hit wonders' to the one used by radio DJs. If you're new here, don't worry! You'll receive a proper definition during the show. If you're a hardcore BCS addict/power user, you already know the drill. As always, we present ten tracks from different eras, genres, and media. If you want to support us you can always write a comment here on the page, on Mastodon or on Instagram which would be highly appreciated. If you're interested in a more relaxed podcast about mostly (city-) building game soundtracks for the PC (think Anno, Settlers, Tycoons from the 90's and onwards) then check out Aufbaumusik. On the rare occasion the Legacy Music Hour goes beyond the fourth generation for an episode. But on this rarest of occasions, they did back-to-back Beyond 16-Bit episodes. Somehow, even in an episode with relaxed rules for what tracks are legal to play, an illegal track slipped though, as "Jewelry (Prize Cue 1989)" from Wheel of Fortune on Sega CD was a previously existing track, not

Pixelated Audio is back from another VGMCon in Minnesota, this time about space! Joining Gene once again from last year are Pernell from Rhythm and Pixels and Carlos from Heroes Three! We did a similar panel last year; we take a broad theme and make it educational, and then use it as an excuse to cram in all sorts of VGM examples. We had some tech issues and lost some of the recording but we were able to rescue it with a more laid back "part 2" we recorded in the hotel room as a way to fill in gaps and riff for a while. Prepare for launch on this massive double episode clocking in at almost 2 hours! We discuss space, its influence on games and computing, and a wide range of games that have a direct or sometimes tenuous link to space. We've got a ton of music this episode so we hope you enjoy it. Pardon the noise in the background, it was the best we could do with a portable recorder. If you'd like to follow along with our slides that we used during the talk, feel free to click through. Blues Progressions was the theme of Episode 253. A classic chord progression used in blues music as well as many other genres such as pop, rock and jazz. While the chord progression is used in blues music, that doesn't mean it necessarily sounds "bluesy." For example, "Wily Tower: Wily Tower 3" from RockMan: Mega World features the progression, but stylistically is more pop-rock

We have a range of new music today, from well composed soundtracks that play homage to earlier console generations to new projects from popular Minecraft composer C418. We also continue to take our definition of music from a certain timeframe liberally and even have music for a game that doesn't exist (anymore). May these episodes help you learn more about new game music releases, and we'll be ready for more next quarter!Featuring: Mike Salbato, Hilary Andreff; Edited by Mike SalbatoLinks for this episodeExtremely OK Games: Final Earthblade UpdateTracklist0:04:58 - Batten Down the Hatches (Winifred Phillips) - Flint: Treasure of Oblivion0:12:08 - Child of the Earth (Lena Raine) - Earthblade ~ Across the Bounds of Fate0:23:28 - Acoustic: Main Theme of FFVII - Battle Edit (Nobuo Uematsu, arr. Welcome back to another episode of Nattering E Trades, your home on Visionaries Global Media for all things trades in sports. After spending the first 10 episodes navigating our way through both how trades work, and the NFL, today will be the final chapter on the NFL. I had a suggestion from a friend about doing a series on the 15 players that went ahead of our Number One best draft day trade Jerry Rice in the 1985 NFL Draft, but that will come at a later date. After today we'll be switching it up to Nattering E At The Movies for next week, and then do a quick show on that 1985 draft, before going into the NBA for more trade magic. Heck we might even discuss the Orlando Magic and some of the trades that have depicted their franchise for better or worse. Today, however, we enter episode 11 seeking to answer one question, E what is the worst NFL draft pick trade on draft day? Now as you know, this list is entirely subjective, as any one of the three worst trades could have been number one on a sports company's site. They also might not even be on any site's radar. Today our number one pick in the Worst Draft Trades in the history of the NFL is number three on NFL.com's list of the worst draft day trades. If you recall in episode 10, we discussed how former Chicago Bears legend and Head Coach Mike Ditka essentially tarnished his own reputation with the Ricky Williams deal that saw the New Orleans Saints trade all nine of their draft picks to the Washington Commanders formerly Redskins for the fifth overall selection to take Williams. Now, you're probably thinking, wait, Eric, there's a deal worse than this. And it involves the Washington franchise? Well, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and diehard sports fans I'm afraid it does. So let us get into it. #1. The worst Draft Day Trade involves draft picks. Washington trades up to get Robert Griffin III in a deal with the St. Louis Rams and the LA Rams. In this episode, Karl & Will finally get around to something that's been hanging for over 3 years...Greatest Hits 2021! That's right, the true final installment of the Greatest Hits series, that was never done due to the transition of the "new" era. Just like the previous installments, this is nothing but bangers. Get yourself a shoe endorsement and put those shoes on, because we're about to hit the ground running with this mixtape. Starting things off we have "Downhill," a high tension track from Winter Olympic Games: Lillehammer '94. We keep the intensity up with "Report 1: The Ghost Train Bound for Hell at 24 o'clock" from GS Mikami: Joreishi wa Nice Body. After that we'll get a bit more
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is almost here, so what better time to dive into this musically fascinating "side" tale from 2015? Many fans were surprised that the first Xenoblade Chronicles was not followed by a "2" (though that happened later), but by Xenoblade Chronicles X. The name and looks alone made it clear this was a different beast: XCX features some now-familiar Xenoblade components and scale, but the more "worldly" nature of its story outside of the "main" plot thread was almost as divisive as its soundtrack to some players. When your first game features music by Yoko Shimomura, ACE+, Manami Kiyota, and Yasunori Mitsuda, pivoting soundtrack duties to "Attack on Titan guy," Hiroyuki Sawano, makes people take notice. The whole Xenoblade series is packed with unforgettable music, but there's no denying that none of them sound quite like the sometimes weird, often catchy, and above all, wholly unexpected, Xenoblade Chronicles X.Featuring: Mike Salbato, Wes Iliff, Stephanie Sybydlo, Sean Cabot; Edited by Mike SalbatoTracklistUncontrollable Wes0:08:25 - Uncontrollable0:11:05 - Don't worryZ5 Sean0:25:55 - Black tar0:29:55 - Z5 MiraWir Stephegen0:43:03 - Wir fliegen0:46:25 - ManonMike X1:00:44 - Shiro no Tairiku1:05:44 - Theme X1:32:44 - Everyone's Bonus TrackAlbum links for places to buy, stream, and more are available in our post on RPGFan.Get in Touch:RPGFan.comRPGFan ShopEmail us: music@rpgfan.comTwitter: @rpgfancomBluesky: @rpgfan.bsky.socialInstagram: @rpgfancomThreads: @rpgfancomFacebook: rpgfancomTwitch: rpgfancom

We've got a new mixtape of tracks as fresh as a cleanly shaved face. Rob brought a few tracks from the Madden series, including "Title Theme" from John Madden Football '92, which has some very cool crunchy bass that the Genesis excels at. That is followed by a very catchy and melodic track ("Stage Theme 6") from Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu for the NES. Your cleanly shaved face
Were you crossing your fingers in hopes of a new mixtape dropping? Well, you're in luck, because we've got a good one for you. After that, Tomoya Tomita hits us with that classic Konami style in "BGM 3" from F-1 Sensation. Gabe shared a very cool,
