Querétaro 100.3 FMDaiva es un videojuego muy peculiar, tal cual la descripción de un videojuego de Simulación Espacial en Japón, de los cuales no habíamos hablado hasta ahora, ya que de cierta manera es complejo, así cómo lo es Daiva, un videojuego diseñado para siete computadoras y Consolas de videojuegos diferentes con trama diferente cada una de ellas y que en su último capítulo se conjugan todas ellas, Daiva es un videojuego que además de tener la temática de la simulación espacial, se centra más en un videojuego de simulación de guerra que se desenvuelve en un complejo universo espacial y que además incorpora el genero de Scrolling Horizontal; en la música destaca la participación de Maestros compositores como Tomita Shigueru Murayama Keiichi y el mas destacado de ellos, Asakura Daisuke, Maestro en la programación de Sintetizadores y compositor de bandas famosas en el rubro del J-Pop de los 90, como TM Revolution y los Mad Soldiers. Esperamos haber hecho un buen trabajo en relatar parte de la historia de este videojuego y despertar tu interés por este y su música.
La Órbita de Endor se enfrasca en una de las aventuras de espionaje más cinematográficas que ha dado el videojuego de los años 90. Con este especial de METAL GEAR SOLID de 1998, obra del maestro Hideo Kojima y Konami, el primero de la saga MGS propiamente dicha que arrancó en la primera Playstation, rendimos tributo a Solid Snake, uno de los personajes más fascinantes del mundo del videojuego. [School of Everything Else 2025] This is a follow-up to our 2021 episode on the legendary 1998 original PS1 Metal Gear Solid. This time I have brought in Willow to explore the two major PS2 instalments. We begin with what feels like creator Hideo Kojima answering the impossible question as to how to improve upon his first masterpiece (which goes so far beyond the two MSX games as to leave them feeling like prototypes) by trolling the fanboys who wanted a power fantasy. In the most audacious bait-and-switch of all time, our grizzled hero Solid Snake is snatched away from our control, and instead we are slid into the skin-tight bodysuit of blonde-haired rookie, Raiden. What follows is metatextual in the extreme, frequently absurd, occasionally groan-inducing and at times frighteningly prescient. Then we go back in time to the mid-1960s with Snake Eater; an epic Cold War crawl through the Russian jungle. This entry in the series houses one of the most memorable and tragic antagonists in video gaming history, coupled with one of the most powerful conclusions. This one, with its overly complex camouflage, foraging and first-aid most definitely warranted its recent Delta remake. In my playthrough the mechanics effected the story in a way that even meta-minded Kojima could not have intended. (NOTE: These were originally released as barebones, raw footage After School Club episodes. This presentation involved an editorial overhaul with music and game clips finally in place.) Trece podcasts distintos han unido fuerzas para rendir homenaje, repasar, analizar y disfrutar a fondo de una de las sagas más icónicas del mundo del videojuego. Metal Gear, con Hideo Kojima a la cabeza, vuelve a ser protagonista gracias al empuje del grupo Podgaming y de todas las voces que han querido sumarse a esta misión colaborativa. En este episodio te traigo una recopilación de los 13 capítulos que forman parte de esta iniciativa. Desde el primer título hasta los más modernos, cada uno tiene su propio espacio, su enfoque particular y, en muchos casos, una duración que da vértigo. De hecho, el episodio que abre esta serie, publicado por Chaydgam Corps, dura más de nueve horas. Sí, has leído bien: nueve horas y ocho minutos dedicadas a Snatcher, una de las primeras incursiones del universo Kojima. Como ya es habitual en estas colaboraciones nacidas del grupo Podgaming, cada podcast se encarga de abordar una entrega de la saga. Hay títulos para todos los gustos: desde los clásicos de MSX hasta los más recientes, pasando por entregas míticas como Metal Gear Solid 3 o The Phantom Pain. We have four stories for you this week: Inspired Flight has secured $12 million in funding, Anzu Robotics V3.8 is out, Japanese drone maker ACSL is releasing new stuff and pricing leak for the upcoming DJI Mini 5 Pro.First up, American manufacturer Inspired Flight Technologies has raised $12 million in Series A funding. The investment was led by Tri-Valley Ventures and is aimed at accelerating new product releases and, most importantly, scaling up the company's U.S.-based manufacturing. Inspired Flight is known for its NDAA-compliant and BlueUAS-certified platforms, like the IF1200 Hexacopter and the IF800 Tomcat. These drones are used in government and commercial sectors for everything from mapping and inspection to public safety. It takes a LOT of time and money to build up manufacturing capacity, and this is a step in the right direction. Next, Anzu Robotics has introduced Version 3.8 for their Raptor Series. This update introduces augmented reality overlays for street names and custom airspace. Also included in this update are some bug fixes, map layer customization, and other map upgrades. The company also enhanced its SAMO payload, which is now ITAR-free and features Teledyne FLIR's Hadron 640R camera module. This payload is a dual-sensor system, combining a 64-megapixel optical camera with a 20x zoom and a 640x512 Boson radiometric thermal camera. ACSL says it will also support FLIR's MSX fusion technology by the end of the year, which overlays visual details onto the thermal image for better situational awareness. And finally, a European online store allegedly listed the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with the RC2 controller for 1129 euros. That's the exact same price as the current Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo. Getting a 1-inch sensor and LiDAR for the same price seems almost too good to be true, but we'll have to wait and see. Leaked accessory prices also seem to be in line with current models. With all these details and even a folding animation video surfacing, rumors are pointing to a mid-September release. In 2006, Namco merged with Bandai to form what is now named Bandai Namco Holdings; the standalone Namco brand continues to be used for video arcade and other entertainment products by the group's Bandai Namco Amusements division.The Namco name comes from Nakamura Manufacturing Company, derived from its founder Masaya Nakamura. In the 1960s, it manufactured electro-mechanical arcade games such as the 1965 hit Periscope. It entered the video game industry after acquiring the struggling Japanese division of Atari in 1974, distributing games such as Breakout in Japan. The company renamed itself Namco in 1977 and published Gee Bee, its first original video game, a year later. Among Namco's first major hits was the fixed shooter Galaxian in 1979. It was followed by Pac-Man in 1980. Namco prospered during the golden age of arcade video games in the early 1980s, releasing popular titles such as Galaga, Xevious, and Pole Position.Namco entered the home market in 1984 with conversions of its arcade games for the MSX and the Nintendo Family Computer, later expanding to competing platforms, such as the Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, and PlayStation. También sacamos a relucir Rainbow Islands, un juego tan colorido que parecía diseñado por un unicornio con exceso de azúcar, y que aún así te machacaba con más dureza que un examen sorpresa de matemáticas. Y por supuesto, Aspar GP Master, el único juego donde ibas tan rápido que la moto parecía poseída, pero tú encantado de comerte las curvas como si no hubiese consecuencias. At the end of our MGS Novel journey, we read Project Itoh's Metal Gear Solid 4 novelization. Benson managed to capture the pulpy military sci-fi nature of the first two MGS games, while Itoh managed to beautifully capture the melodrama and emotional affect of MGS4. Bryant explained, "We decided okay, that would be a worthwhile, even though this was very custom to one sort of customer, it would show that we could do the whole supply chain." Deep tech founders should consider strategic partnerships that showcase their technology's role in the broader ecosystem. Navigate the transition from technical founder to scaled leadership: As the company grew, Bryant transitioned from CEO to Executive Chair and CCO roles. He reflected, "It requires different things of you, from being a startup founder to then being an actual manager of people to then being executive chairman...You've got to be willing to change or you'll quickly get swept aside." Founders should prepare themselves mentally for evolving leadership roles as their companies scale. Leverage accelerator programs for credibility: Getting into Halliburton Labs during COVID helped attract investor attention. Bryant noted, "That was great because they helped us not only build a product, but that name helped attract attention to us from investors." It's easy to despair. Fear and frustration spread quickly, and their hold has hooks hard to shake. Through their Mangasplaining podcast (co-hosted with David Brothersand Chip Zdarsky), they've become beacons of what the sequential art form can offer the human experience, and recently, they've taken their passion one step further (maybe several steps further) and actually manifested great comic works. Mangasplaining, in partnership with Fantagraphics, first brought Susumu Higa's Okinawa into American comic shops and bookstores. Now, they're switching gears quite drastically, offering Atsushi Kaneko's radical reconsideration of Osamu Tezuka's iconic Dororo, Search and Destroy. The comic shifts the original story from feudal Japan to an apocalyptic future where machines enhance themselves using pieces stolen from a mysterious young woman. While they taste life with her tongue, she trudges across the sci-fi hellscape, sharpening her rage into a propulsive attack. As we prepare for this week's San Diego Comic-Con International, we revel in the gifts all comics provide their readers. In this week's MBA Admissions podcast we began by discussing the flurry of activity on LiveWire relating to R1 decision releases for a number of top schools. This upcoming week will continue to be busy with UNC / Kenan Flagler, Northwestern / Kellogg, Oxford Said, UPenn / Wharton, UCLA / Anderson, Texas / McCombs and Washington / Foster all scheduled to release Round 1 decisions. Graham highlighted two Real Humans pieces from Clear Admit, focused on IESE and Vanderbilt / Owen. We then discussed the recently published MBA class of 2025 profile from Columbia, and three employment reports, from Harvard, Stanford and Dartmouth / Tuck. The profile of recruiters at Harvard and Stanford is different from other “M7” programs, with more focus on buy-side financial services, and less focus on consulting. Graham also highlighted an Adcom Q&A from Yale SOM, as well as a topical admissions tip that was published last week: how to handle rejections from top MBA programs. For this week, for the candidate profile review portion of the show, Alex selected three ApplyWire entries. This week's first MBA admissions candidate has a very interesting profile, and it appears that she also has really strong leadership experiences. She applied in Round 1, and has received interview invites. Her one clear weakness is a 305 GRE score. This week's second MBA candidate has some pretty amazing entrepreneurial experience from West Africa; they helped start a budget airline. They still need to take the GMAT, which is a potential concern. They are targeting some of the more unique programs like Stanford's one year MSx program, and the Sloan Fellows Program at MIT. The final MBA candidate for this week is an engineer who is targeting next season for their MBA applications. Their combination of a 690 GMAT (with a relatively low quant score) and 3.0 GPA is a little concerning. We are hoping they are able to boost the GMAT, even if only a little.
