Your body has been trying to tell you something. For a while now. Maybe for longer than you realize. Maybe for months. Maybe for years. It's been sending signals — quiet ones, persistent ones, the kind you can ignore for a while but never forever. The tension in your shoulders that never quite goes away, no matter how many hot showers you take or how many times you roll your neck at your desk. The ache in your lower back that you've learned to live with, that you've normalized into just how your body works. The tightness in your chest when you think about tomorrow, about the deadlines, about the conversations you're dreading. The exhaustion that doesn't go away after a good night's sleep, that follows you through the day like a shadow you can't outrun.

Alex breaks down the emerging U.S.-Iran peace deal and explains why, after four months of war, the outcome looks remarkably similar to the status quo that existed before the conflict began. He examines why the agreement leaves Iran's missile program and regional proxies largely untouched, why Israel may view the result as a costly strategic setback despite the damage inflicted on Iran, and why none of the major players can convincingly claim victory. Finally, Alex explores the broader implications of the war—from the vulnerability of the Strait of Hormuz to what the conflict reveals about the limits of American power and the future of global trade.

After losing two children and enduring years of silent, suppressed grief, Shruti Trivedi discovered that true healing isn't about “moving on”—it's about making friends with your pain and allowing it to become a gateway for transformation. In this deeply moving episode, we sit down with the life coach and pregnancy loss practitioner to discuss how she navigated over a decade of emotional wounds before finally seeking the therapy that sparked her own profound rebirth. Shruti introduces her “Three-ACE” framework—Acknowledge, Allow, and Align—which provides a compassionate roadmap for parents and professionals to navigate guilt, process complex trauma, and reclaim their balance. By reframing grief as a doorway rather than an end, she illustrates how joy and sorrow can coexist, offering listeners a hopeful, actionable blueprint for rebuilding their lives, honoring their losses, and ultimately returning home to themselves.IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL HEAR ABOUT THINGS LIKE:Reframing grief as a transformative doorway rather than a final destination to foster personal rebirth. The Three-ACE framework utilizing a structured method of Acknowledging, Allowing, and Aligning to navigate deep emotional pain.Mental cleansing practices implemented daily to prevent the toxic buildup of suppressed trauma and internal toxicity. The coexistence of joy and grief understanding that happiness and sorrow are not mutually exclusive and can hold space for one another.Breaking cultural stigmas that suppress vulnerability and prevent healthy emotional expression in both men and women.Meaningful ways to honor loss through active rituals, such as symbolic planting, to facilitate long-term healing.WATCH ON YOUTUBE: https://youtu.be/S6wKUhakEBY?list=PL7judgDzhkAWmfyB5r5WgFD6ahombBvoh
A 37-year 60 Minutes correspondent got fired in a conference room over a dinner he refused to attend.

Clement Salvadori died on May 1, 2026, and I thought it might be a good reason to rebroadcast his discussion with CTH back in Episode 86. The audio is a bit noisy, but stick with it, as Clem's insights continue to resonate. Chasing the Horizon is brought to you by Wunderlich America and the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America. Ben Affleck wrote, directed, and starred in The Town coming off one of the worst career stretches in Hollywood… and somehow made one of the best heist movies ever made. We break down the wild fan theory that his character Doug MacRay is actually his Good Will Hunting character who stayed in Boston after Will left. We discuss why this is basically a Batman audition tape. We also break down the most iconic scene in the movie, the deleted ending where Doug doesn't make it to Florida, and how Ben Affleck directed his own performance.Chapters:00:00 Announcements0:39 So good it saved a career3:47 This was just Ben Affleck Batman audition7:48 Bad movies bring out the best actors9:54 Ben Affleck has the sad boy look down14:10 Heat in Boston23:42 The FBI kinda dumb in this movie26:34 How the most iconic moment was born28:08 Just missing Matt Damon36:35 Blake Lively good at being annoying40:37 A childhood staple43:14 The scariest dude in this movie47:08 Doug almost immediately blew his cover56:40 Doug character arc shown through woman1:02:08 The alternate ending1:04:58 Our final thoughts
On the lastest episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack podcast we talked to Joe Affe of the band Maximum Penalty. MP is one of Chris' favorite bands so we had to have one of the bands founders on. We talked about the formation of Maximum Pentalty and alot of the lore surrounding them. We talked about the younger generation embracing them with Flatspot putting out music for them and End It covering them on their latest record. MP was definitely one of the most underrated bands of their time and we urge you to check em out as soon as you can if you have not.Episode Music is "Fight My Way Back" by Maximum Penalty
Ikar hateshuva — shyishma bizyono yidom v'yishtok. Hear your humiliation. Be still. That is the way back. Shiur 2 in the weekly Torah series on the Lost Princess of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, at the Sephardic Center on Avenue P in Brooklyn. With R' Nachman Fried. This shiur picks up right where Shiur 1 left off — and walks through the spiritual lull between Shavuos and Rosh Hashana, the moment the words slipped from the King's mouth, and the moment the viceroy stood up uninvited and asked, give me a servant, give me a horse, give me money for the journey. The Rebbe is teaching us, in every detail, who the tzaddik is — and who we are. What we cover: The Rebbe is for everyone — vos art es mir az einer bentcht zich b'kavana un nisht visen az es iz fun mir. What does it bother me if someone bentches with kavana and doesn't know it's from me? The Rebbe never cared if you became his chassid. He cared if you connected to Hashem. The post-Shavuos void — why the Torah deliberately leaves us with no Yom Tov between Shavuos and Rosh Hashana. The trigger we're trying to distract from is underneath the boredom — and Hashem put it there on purpose. The three beliefs — Hashem, the tzaddik, and (the one the yetzer hara works hardest to break) YOU. The ladybug-in-the-pool story. You are relevant. You can't make peace with terrorists — my father olav hashalom, the yetzer hara's real address (not Ibiza — your head), and why the doubt about your own relevance is the yesod of Amalek. Ego = Edging G-d Out — how every time we let our strength protect our weakness, we lay down another iron layer between us and the chelek Eloka mima'al inside. The avoda — yishma bizyono, yidom v'yishtok. Hear your humiliation. Stay quiet. Stay present. That is the kli the light is waiting to fill. The story moves — the broiges, the words that slipped from the King's mouth (vnishtguter zol dir nemen), the lost princess vanishing, and the moment the viceroy stood up without being asked. That uninvited amad is the tzaddik. That uninvited amad is the tzaddik in you. Compassion needs Da'as — feeling someone's pain is rachmanus. Acting on it is l'rachem. The bridge between them is da'as — and da'as is what lets you see the godliness inside the table, the chair, the meshulach at your door. Why he asked for a servant, a horse, and money — chavruta + nefesh habahamis (to ride, not to be ridden) + parnassa for the road. We were the viceroy. We agreed to come down here. We said yes. The action plan — bli neder, one moment of humiliation this week. With your wife if you're married. With a partner. In business. One time. Hear it. Stay. Don't run. That's how the chomah stays standing and the Lost Princess can be heard again. —
Brendan Greene is a game designer whose work reshaped the landscape of competitive multiplayer video games. Raised on a barracks in County Kildare, he grew up in an army family with little more than an Atari 2600 for company. He studied Fine Art in college, taught himself web design, and spent years freelancing — even moving to Brazil — before rediscovering video games through the DayZ mod for Arma 2. What began as hobbyist tinkering on Reddit forums became something much bigger when he created the Battle Royale mod in 2013, inspired by the cult Japanese film. Three years later, the mod became PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. PUBG's brutal, hundred-player survival format exploded into a global sensation, helping cement the battle royale genre as a dominant force in modern video games. Now, through PlayerUnknown Productions, he has returned to his fascination with emergent storytelling with Prologue: Go Wayback!, a game that challenges players to navigate nature's unforgiving systems and carve their own path through the wilderness.Become a My Perfect Console supporter and receive a range of benefits at www.patreon.com/myperfectconsoleTake the Acast listener survey to help shape the show: My Perfect Console with Simon Parkin Survey 2025 Hosted on Acast. When was the last time your marriage felt deeply connected instead of simply functional? Maybe lately your marriage feels more like roommates than soulmates. You're coordinating schedules, managing responsibilities, handling the kids, building businesses, and falling into bed exhausted at the end of the day. You still love each other, but somewhere along the way, the connection started fading into routine. In today's conversation, I'm joined by my friend Lindsey Maestas for a deeply honest discussion about the quiet disconnection so many couples experience but rarely talk about. This isn't a typical episode for this show, but I truly believe this conversation matters. As Christian entrepreneurs, it can be easy to slowly fall into self-focused thinking without even realizing it. Thoughts like “What about my happiness?” or “What about my needs?” can quietly replace the posture of “What would Jesus have me do?” And over time, those small hidden habits can slowly create distance in a marriage. The truth is, so many couples are struggling silently. From the outside, everything looks fine, but internally, there's emotional distance, exhaustion, resentment, or simply feeling unseen. We sweep it under the rug because we assume this is just what marriage becomes after enough years, responsibilities, and busy seasons. But Lindsey shares why that “quiet disconnection” matters so much and how couples can begin finding their way back to each other before the distance grows even deeper. Lindsey shares wisdom from her book, Don't Burn Your Own House Down: Prioritizing Your Marriage, Your Spouse, and Yourself for a Deeper Connection, along with practical and biblical encouragement for restoring connection in a healthy, God-centered way. Friend, I believe healthy and fruitful marriages are possible. God cares deeply about the health of your home just as much as the success of your business. If your marriage has felt distant lately, I pray this conversation encourages you with grace, honesty, hope, and practical next steps toward deeper connection. I pray this blesses you! Most people spend their whole lives solving problems that aren't the actual problem.I sat down with Danny Morel, transformational coach, speaker, and author of Awaken, to talk about what it really takes to stop outsourcing your power and start doing the inner work that changes everything. Not the kind of change that looks good on paper. The kind that actually holds. What we explore:- Why grief can crack open the questions you've been avoiding for decades, and why that's actually the beginning of something good.- How overachieving quietly becomes its own form of hiding, and why society keeps handing out rewards for it.- What re-parenting actually means, and why the real healing work happens inside you, not in a conversation with your mom or dad.- How to shift from victim consciousness to creator consciousness so every person in your life becomes a teacher instead of a problem.- What the masculine and feminine actually are beneath the culture war noise, and why integrating both is the foundation for everything else.Chapters00:00 Why Danny Morel Started Asking Hard Questions02:39 3 Questions After His Mom Passed 04:43 Sitting Still as the Most Powerful Healing Tool 09:17 Being You Requires No Effort 14:14 How Your Mother's Wounds Became Yours 17:12 When Logic Fails: Plant Medicine and Ceremony21:02 You Learned Pain So You Can Unlearn It 24:55 Re-Parenting Yourself From Within30:58 From Victim to Creator Consciousness36:35 What Ceremony Revealed About Divorce and Kids39:02 How Danny Avoids Becoming a Guru40:10 The Ladder of Consciousness Explained Simply48:27 Breathwork, Cannabis, Mushrooms, and Ayahuasca56:08 Why Religion Taught You to Outsource Your Power 57:29 Why Alcoholics Are Sensitive People in Pain01:04:16 The Truth About Masculine and Feminine Energy01:06:36 The Infinity Symbol and How Energy Really Works 01:10:54 Adam, Eve, and What the Bible Got Wrong01:13:51 Healing Yourself Heals Your Whole FamilyAbout Danny Morel:Danny Morel is a transformational coach, speaker, and the author of Awaken, a book born from his own radical personal reckoning after the death of his mother, a marriage that fell apart, and years of building external success on an internal void.
