I have Rondal joining me today and we are talking about translation and languages, which is very helpful to the world traveler. Rondal has spent his entire career as a translator of the Bible and is more than qualified to discuss translation and languages. The first half of his field work was done in Papua New Guinea, so we also cover that nation in-depth, which I find to be fascinating and very remote. Consider subscribing to the Guiding Light Podcast with the button above, so each new episode is delivered as soon as it is aired. Below are links to several of the subject matters we discuss in the podcast: Pioneer bible translators Switzerland Papua New Guinea Port Moresby Madang Africa Crimea Travisa Polish language Dagestan

In this episode, CT drives around Texas and has actual nerd lunches with members of the Texas Fourth Chair Army. First up, Jasmin from 1 Fine Cookie and we did a round of Andrew Bloom-inspired "would you rather?" questions. After that, Rondal from Strange Kids Club was up and he talked about the relaunch of his Kickstarter and we talked through some "Muppet scenarios." Last, but not least, lunch with Miss M from Diary of Dorkette and the Eclectic Mayhem Podcast contained talk of some "action figure scenarios." Don't worry, at no point in the podcast did CT mess with Texas.

In celebration of the forthcoming Strange Kids Club Magazine #5, Rondal Scott takes up the Fourth Chair this week. After talking about the new hero of the magazine issue, BRONARR: SPACE BARBARIAN, Rondal takes the nerds deeper into the world of scifi-fantasy by leading a retrospective on 1983's Krull. The panel kicks around what works, what doesn't, and what the heck is up with the glaive. It's a podcast episode light-years beyond your imagination! Nerd To-Dos include Orphan Black, Furious Seven, SilverHawks, Daredevil, and a lot of C2E2 talk.

Every podcast has to have a guilty pleasures episode and this week we finally do our take. Joining us for the confessions is our favorite strange kid, Rondal Scott. Who enjoys the worst reality TV show? Who likes an emasculating rom-com? Who revels in cheesy flicks from an 80s action star? Listen for these revelations and so much more. In our Nerd To-Dos Jeeg reads a book, Pax plans a Movie Man-athon, CT keeps buying digital comics, and Rondal plans an epic run of SNL viewing.

Rondal from the Strange Kids Club returns to help the Nerd Lunch crew drug CT's milk and put Jeeg in the hosting chair. Up this week is a very special episode about one of our favorite franchises, The A-Team. We spend the first part of the episode discussing the original and what made it one of the iconic shows of the 1980s. Then we turn our attention to the 2010 reboot movie and lament the fact that we won't be getting sequels to that flick. In our Nerd To-Dos, we learn about Trash Can Trolls and somehow get a reference to the 90s kung-fu cop show Martial Law.
