In this week's episode of the B2B Marketing Podcast in association with Differentiated, we are joined by Jon Buckthorp, Commercial Director, Differentiated to discuss the agency's latest report: Art & Science: Exploring new horizons built on belief. The conversation begins with a thought-provoking look at the difference between trust and belief, before Jon shares some striking findings from their in-depth research. For example, did you know that decision-makers are spending around two hours a day engaging with marketing material, yet many don't finish what they start, and two thirds never make it to the conclusion? This was just one of many takeaways discussed in the episode. From there, Jon defines content dysmorphia and thought theatre, and explains how these play out in today's marketing landscape. Jon also considers the role of AI in an increasingly sceptical climate, raising important questions about how brands can cut through and connect meaningfully. If you're curious about any of these themes from the report then this episode is a must-listen.

FleetWallet³ is an AI in-vehicle payments solution that initially eliminates the need for physical fuel cards, prevents fraud and delivers seamless and compliant automation. By combining data intelligence with secure payments, it sets a new standard for AI connected and efficient fleet management and operations, all without additional hardware. As part of its rollout, firstly across Europe, Cubic³ has partnered with GoCar, a leading car-sharing service, which will showcase FleetWallet³'s potential to support mobility providers, leasing companies and corporate fleets alike. Paul Foley, Commercial Director of FleetWallet³, said: "Fraud and card misuse remain some of the most persistent pain points for fleets and car-share providers. By integrating telematics with secure payments, our platform protects against both internal misuse and external compromise, delivering over 10% savings on fuel costs while dramatically reducing administrative overhead." Joe Quirke, Head of GoCar Ireland, commented: "Our partnership with FleetWallet³ aligns perfectly with GoCar's commitment to smarter, more sustainable mobility. As an early adopter of this solution, we're excited to demonstrate how secure, automated and increasingly intelligent payments can reduce risk and improve efficiency across shared mobility and fleet operations." The Platform Addresses Five Key Challenges: Intelligent, Adaptive Fraud Prevention - Real-time telematics and data analytics help fleets prevent theft and misuse, unlocking over 10% in fuel savings while minimising manual reconciliation. Seamless, Secure and Automated Payments - Fully integrated, PSD2-compliant fleet payments enable hands-free management across Europe's strictest financial and tax regulations. Real-Time Insights for Smarter Fleet Management - Transparent, data-driven reporting provides instant visibility into fleet performance and fuel consumption. Centralised, GDPR-Compliant Control - A single platform to manage vendors and services securely, simplifying operations across Europe's diverse fuel and mobility networks. AI-Enabled Fleet Intelligence - FleetWallet³ will leverage AI to evolve with every transaction, learning from vehicle data to predict needs, optimise costs, and enable intelligent connected services. The Future of AI-Powered Fleet Intelligence Looking ahead to 2026, Cubic³ is advancing FleetWallet³ with AI-powered fraud detection, Smart Transaction Intelligence, and predictive analytics. A new conversational assistant will let managers "talk to their data," detect anomalies, and act instantly - building intelligence that helps forecast costs, cut emissions and drive real-time sustainability. AI Partnerships and Software-Defined Vehicle Integration As part of its ongoing AI roadmap, Cubic³ is exploring new data-exchange partnerships with fleet-management providers and automotive OEMs to unlock the next wave of intelligence - from predictive maintenance and driver-behaviour analytics to EV charging optimisation and machine learning. This approach positions Cubic³ as the AI orchestration layer for software-defined vehicles, bridging operational, financial and environmental data into a unified intelligence ecosystem. "AI marks a defining moment for FleetWallet³ and the mobility and automotive industries," said Foley. "Leveraging this technology, FleetWallet³ will become a self-learning platform that evolves with every transaction - predicting needs and connecting services from parking and tolls to EV charging, transforming vehicles into intelligent hubs within a smarter, more sustainable mobility ecosystem." On this week's episode of the Pilgrims Podcast, we're delighted to be joined by James Greenacre. James is the current Commercial Director at Plymouth Albion, but previously worked for Plymouth Argyle in various capacities over a 19-year period. In Part One, we discuss some key moments from James's time at Argyle, including administration and the promotions he experienced while at the club. We also turn our attention to Argyle's new CEO, Paul Berne, and what he will bring to the role. James also shares his thoughts on Andrew Parkinson, his predecessor, and the way he professionalised the club overnight when he took charge in 2019 — perhaps not receiving the credit he deserves for helping to kickstart a positive new chapter in Argyle's modern history. In Part Two, the focus shifts to James's boyhood club, AFC Wimbledon, who visit Home Park in a week's time. We talk about his long association with the Dons and the club's rebirth following the you-know-what merger with MK. James outlines their impressive journey under Johnnie Jackson, who has taken the club from a difficult start to a recent play-off final victory at Wembley — one that James was finally able to enjoy from the stands. There's plenty more too, including James's insights into his current role at Albion, and how the club offers a great alternative day out for Argyle fans on an Argyle-free weekend. I recorded this episode at Barracuda TechSummit25 in Alpbach, Austria, a mountain village that looks like a postcard and hosts some of the most grounded security conversations you will hear all year. My guest is Richard Flanders, Commercial Director at Aura Technology, a managed service provider on the south coast of England that supports public sector organisations and tightly regulated commercial clients. Richard arrived as part of Barracuda's Partner Advisory Board, which means he spends as much time feeding customer reality back into product teams as he does comparing notes with peers in the hallway. We talk through his first TechSummit experience and why the event's focus on hands-on engineering matters for MSPs who live in the weeds of configuration, policy, and response. Richard shares early thoughts on Barracuda's secure edge service and the continued maturation of XDR, but the heart of our chat is the pressure he sees on customers. Compliance is no longer a side quest. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, supply chain reporting, and new European rules are shaping budgets and expectations. Boards want proof. Auditors want evidence. Buyers want to know a supplier chose fit-for-purpose tools. That makes documentation, contracts, and the ability to show your working as important as the tech itself. We also get into the human side. In a world that loves point solutions, many teams are tired of alert noise and tool sprawl. Richard explains why a single, coherent view helps his engineers move faster and train better, and why MSPs are leaning into prevention-focused workflows rather than waiting for the next fire. He is candid about the conversations no one enjoys, like end-of-life systems that keep a legacy app alive, and the need for tougher stances when risk sits outside an acceptable boundary. AI comes up too, without the hype. Aura is hiring a Head of AI and Automation, standing up a private AI platform, and committing to ship a handful of small, useful apps for customers in the year ahead. The lens is productivity and safety, with an emphasis on teaching teams how to question outputs and rethink everyday tasks. Add in security awareness training, phishing simulations, and tabletop exercises, and you start to see a culture shift from annual tick-boxes to regular, lived practice. There is a lovely moment of serendipity in here as well. Richard's first conversation on day one was with another partner from Pune, the same city where Aura runs its network operations. They swapped ideas on automation and integration that might never have surfaced on a video call. That is the value of getting people in a room together, especially when the room happens to be carved into the side of a mountain. If you work with an MSP, this episode will help you ask better questions. If you are an MSP, you will recognise the balance Richard describes. Pick the right controls for the risks you actually face. Prove what you do. Keep training. And give your teams a single place to see what matters, so the next incident stays small. ********* Visit the Sponsor of Tech Talks Network: Land your first job in tech in 6 months as a Software QA Engineering Bootcamp with Careerist https://crst.co/OGCLA

The industrial sector faces a growing challenge: how to train a rapidly evolving, inexperienced workforce to safely and effectively operate aging and complex infrastructure. Traditional training tools like PowerPoint presentations and passive classroom learning no longer cut it, especially in high-risk environments like oil refineries and offshore rigs. Enter immersive training platforms—tools that provide guided, interactive learning experiences in virtual environments. These platforms bridge the comprehension gap by enabling engineers to interact with equipment and scenarios in a simulated setting before ever stepping on site. The benefits are substantial: improved cognition, faster onboarding, safer operations, and better cross-functional awareness. In this episode, I speak with Matt Trubow, Commercial Director of Hidden Creative, where we discuss how their browser-based immersive platform “Simmerse” is transforming how engineering-heavy industries onboard and train personnel. From AI-driven hazard detection to gamified safety walkthroughs, Matt illustrates why immersive tech is not just a nice-to-have but a must-have for the future of industrial training.

The energy grid is facing a new kind of challenge: enormous, fast-arriving demand from hyperscale data centres, driven by AI and digitalisation. These “giga-campuses” are no longer talking about tens of megawatts they're applying for a gigawatt of capacity in a single location. That's the same scale of demand Portugal expects to add across the entire country over a decade - now requested in one UK town. For National Grid, developers, and policymakers, the question is urgent: how do you connect this demand without waiting 15 years for traditional reinforcements? It is increasingly clear that the future of large-scale demand isn't just about building faster, it's about building smarter. Flexible connections, real-time load management, and accurate grid modelling will be essential to connect AI-era demand without crippling the network or wasting resources. In this episode of Transmission, Ed sits down with Paul Manning, Commercial Director at Novogrid, about how real-time data and control can transform grid operations. From improving renewable integration to reducing connection delays, they explore the technology, market design, and operational shifts needed to build a more dynamic and efficient electricity system. ⚡ Why hyperscale data centres break the old rules for grid planning and capacity allocation.⚡The bottleneck: why firm connections could delay projects for over a decade.⚡ Flexible (non-firm) connections as a faster route and what this means for data centre operations.⚡ How to align computational load with grid availability to avoid stranded assets and wasted capacity.⚡ The role of grid analytics in de-risking curtailment and speeding up the transitionAbout the GuestPaul Manning is Co-Founder and Commercial Director at Novogrid, a grid analytics company acquired by Danish energy services firm Opora. Advise, the AI-powered data analytics platform provider, has announced its expansion into the UK, fuelled by a recent investment of €1.8M. The company will hire 10 new team members in the UK to facilitate the expansion and bring its agentic AI platform, designed specifically for consumer-packaged goods (CPG) companies, to the market. The Advise platform, leveraging GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities, automates data from multiple sources at speed, producing personalised insights and recommendations for CPG companies to increase their market share and enable informed decision-making. Entry into the UK marks the beginning of Advise's international growth strategy. The UK's CPG market is worth approximately €24BN and the current addressable market for Advise's services in the UK stands at approximately €2BN. With the expectation that this will continue to grow as, increasingly, CPG companies embrace AI, Advise forecasts that its customer base will double in the next 12 months. The company also expects revenues to grow two-fold by the end of 2026 and annually thereafter. The company's expansion comes on the back of its sustained success in local markets. Advise currently counts Britvic, Pilgrim Food Masters, Tayto, Kerry and Dr Oetker as customers. Advise's first UK customer, G's Fresh, have been successfully using the platform for the past 12 months. With annual revenues in excess of £550 million, the family-owned company is one of the UK's leading fresh food producers, cultivating crops on 17,500 hectares of land and offering an extensive product range, from salad leaves to fresh vegetables, across the UK, Europe and North America. John Phelan, Co-Founder and Commercial Director, said: "Our expansion into the UK is just the first step in our international expansion strategy as we continue on a path of rapid and ambitious growth. The size of the UK market and its strong appetite for innovation will allow us to extend our market reach and grow our customer base. "Globally, brands are coming under increasing pressure to boost efficiency while reducing costs. Although the demand for smarter, more agile solutions is evident, many companies are struggling to identify the right AI solutions to meet their needs. "Our team has more than 20 years of experience in researching and developing AI technologies. As a result, we have a product that can not only make recommendations, but explain them, too. It will change the way an entire industry does things - for the better - and now, the time is right for us to expand into the UK. Our entry into the market also marks our first year working with G's Fresh, one of the biggest brand names in fresh produce. For them, and many others, we are redefining how they approach analytics to make the right decisions, faster." Matt Godbold, Category Marketing Director at G's Fresh, said: "The Advise platform has been a game-changer for my department. Gone are the days where we would spend hours processing data. Advise delivers high-quality, customised insights to the G's Fresh dashboard at speed. It's easy, it's efficient, and effortlessly combines multiple data sources from EPOS, panel and survey data to show where the market drivers are. It allows me to shift my focus from manual analysis to driving real business growth." See more stories here. Instead of flying people around the world or relying on death-by-PowerPoint, Simmerse allows distributed teams and customers to step inside a 3D environment, whether it's a ship engine, water treatment plant, or offshore turbine, and engage with it in real time.We dive into the cognitive science behind why this works so well for engineers, the tangible ROI it's delivering, and how tools like AI and digital twins are reshaping industrial communications. If you work in a supply chain function where product complexity, technical sales, or sustainability impact are key, this episode will give you a fresh lens on immersive tech as a practical tool, not a gimmick.Elevate your brand with the ‘Sustainable Supply Chain' podcast, the voice of supply chain sustainability.Last year, this podcast's episodes were downloaded over 113,000 times by senior supply chain executives around the world.Become a sponsor. National Broadband Ireland (NBI), the company rolling out the National Broadband Plan (NBP) has today (Wednesday) hosted an event on Achill Island to mark the first connections to high-speed fibre broadband on the remote island Main build works on the island infrastructure are now complete enabling over 2,500 homes, farms and businesses to high-speed broadband. This means that residents of Ireland's largest island will have the same access to 2 Gig, reliable, broadband as any of the over 380,000 premises that NBI has already passed across the country. Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O'Donovan, T.D., was present at the event which included local public representatives, community groups and residents from the island. Minister O'Donovan said: "The National Broadband Plan is one of the largest State infrastructure projects since rural electrification, and ensures that no community, home or business is left behind from a connectivity point of view. This means that delivering broadband infrastructure to the residents of Achill Island is a natural extension of this mandate. "I'm delighted to be here today to witness first-hand the impact that this investment and connectivity to high-speed broadband is having for homes, businesses and the entire island community who will reap the benefits of it for decades to come." David McCourt, Founder and Chairman of National Broadband Ireland, commented: "At NBI, we are working to the mandate from Government to ensure that no town, village, or community will be left behind under the National Broadband Plan. No premises is too rural or too remote and we're proud to be here on Achill Island - one of 27 offshore islands in our rollout - to mark the availability of our world-class fibre network." TJ Malone, Chief Executive Officer, National Broadband Ireland, said: "The delivery of fibre broadband infrastructure to Achill Island is a significant milestone for NBI, and we are delighted to have end customers already connected and enjoying the benefits of reliable, high-speed broadband. This is a major step forward for digital connectivity, helping people stay connected, work remotely, stream seamlessly, and access vital online services. "Fibre broadband is the gold standard for fast, reliable internet - and thanks to the National Broadband Plan, many homes and businesses across Ireland can already make the switch today. By switching to fibre, users can leave behind the limitations of outdated copper networks, which were never designed to meet the demands of today's digital world." Local connected customer and owner of House of Achill, Anna Sutcliffe, said: "Since connecting to the NBI Network with Imagine, my business has really grown. Traditionally on the island, we are very dependent on the tourism season. Now with fibre, I finally have a fast, reliable connection to support online sales and ensure customer service year-round. I can now focus on what I enjoy most about the business: being creative." Glenda Brady, Commercial Director, Imagine, said:"At Imagine, our roots have always been in rural Ireland and in serving communities like Achill. This is a moment we're really proud of. Fibre connectivity will allow business owners, like Anna, succeed in a much bigger digitally connected market, no matter where they are based." Local connected customer and owner of Lilí Bán Café, John Barrett, said: "I opened Lilí Bán Café in the summer of 2021 and soon realised that running a business on Achill Island has its challenges. Without fibre broadband, the weather often impacted the signal and reliability of the connection. Since connecting to NBI's fibre with Westnet, it's been a real game changer. At the café, we can now manage online bookings and operate a card machine. It's exciting to see a new wave of business starting on the island and fibre connectivity has definitely played a big part in this." Paul Cunnane, Chief Executive Officer, Westnet, said: "Westnet has a long-standing...
