In the 442nd episode of the "Join Us in France" podcast, host Annie Sargent engages guest Helen Talley-McRae in a discussion about her Mediterranean cruise experience. The cruise, offered by Viking Ocean Cruises, embarked from Rome and concluded in Tarragona, Spain, stopping at French ports such as Marseille and Sète. Helen selected this journey to celebrate a milestone birthday after her 2020 travel plans were postponed due to the pandemic. Helen highlights both pros and cons of cruising. Positives include the ability to visit several locations quickly, simplified logistics, excellent onboard service and facilities, and an all-inclusive package. Drawbacks, however, encompass substantial upfront costs, superficial visits due to limited shore time, potential dependence on organized excursions, occasionally disappointing food quality, and unexpected itinerary changes due to weather. The journey included stops at numerous locations, with Sète, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence, and Monaco emerging as Helen's favorites. In Sète, she enjoyed a local guided tour and the chance to interact with locals. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Les Baux-de-Provence captivated her with their rich history and local markets, while Monaco surprised her with its traditional old town, contrasting with the known glamour of Monte Carlo. Despite some limitations, such as an industrial port at Marseille and missing out on certain attractions due to time constraints, Helen appreciated the overall experience and expressed interest in future river cruises. She believes this type of cruise is ideal for individuals desiring a resort-style vacation or those who might be visiting Europe for the first time. After her memorable trip, Helen is excited about her upcoming visit to family in Paris and Brittany.

Vennero sottoposti a fermo giudiziario e poi arrestati.
Monaco is the wealthiest nation in the world per capita. It's also the country with by far the highest average age of citizens. It has the highest cost of land of any country in the world, it pretty much breaks any kind of list you want to make ranking countries cause you can pretty much bet that this 2 square kilometer spit of land off the south of France is going to win any economic top ten list out there. So, what is really going on with the economy of Monaco? Most people know it as a playground for the rich and famous, a parking garage for superyachts, a glorified formula 1 track, a country built around a casino, and above all else, a tax haven. But is this criticism really fair? ... let's explore in today's video!

As we see an increasing number of culturally diverse patients in our US-based practices or on the mission field, our understanding of cultural influences in healthcare and our own biases is essential. How can we develop an eye to see where a patient’s values and worldview may differ from our own? We will review an approach to cultural humility highlighted by medical missions case studies. Readers looking for a quirky Cold War spy story will find much to enjoy in Like Dolphins, the latest spy thriller from Andy Onyx. In the latest installment of his Barbell spy book series, spy author Andy Onyx takes us on a journey through the world of Cold War spy fiction. With a cast of intriguing characters and a plot that delves deep into the world of espionage, this episode is a must-listen for fans of cold war espionage novels. 'Now in Like Dolphins it was to place my existing characters of BREAKSPEAR (Bradley) and KESTREL (Wallace) in the last knockings of the Cold War, right at the end, in a plot like no other. The tag lines “Withnail and Spy” and “ A Cold War Trainspotting” set the scene of late 80s culture, music, style, the end of football hooliganism, the rising rave scene. We're at a critical point in the Cold War with an ailing GDR behind the Wall further de-stabled by reforming winds of Glasnost and Perestroika coming from the senior partner, the USSR. Add to that action in the hedonistic capital of Europe, Amsterdam.' n this episode, we learn that the plot centers around a key football game between Monaco and Dynamo Berlin and that football hooliganism plays a key role in the story. The introduction of ecstasy changes the culture of violence surrounding this subculture and sets the tone for the action to follow. The cast of characters is explored in depth throughout the episode, with each one complementing one another and creating tension when in the other's presence. The protagonist, KESTREL is tasked with rehabilitating BREAKSPEAR, a previous partner who had a psychological issue and was out of action. The dynamic between the two former partners is fascinating to read, and adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story. As Andy Onyx reveals more about the plot but keeping spoilers to himself (this is the way on Spybrary), it becomes clear that loyalty will be tested, and betrayal is a constant risk. Andy Onyx also recommends some must-read books for Cold War spy fiction fans, including "The Outsider" by Frederick Forsyth and "The Fist of God" by the same author. Andy also reveals some of the books on East Germany that he used for researching East Germany. Onyx has also created an eclectic Spotify playlist featuring music relevant to the story. From "Ride On Time" to "Sympathy for the Devil," the music adds another dimension to the storytelling. Overall, Like Dophins is a quirky, intriguing, and informative exploration of Cold War spy fiction. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the spy genre or just looking for something new to read, Like Dolphins is well worth a read. So what are you waiting for? Tune in to the latest episode to find out how the story unfolds.

Welcome back, you filthy animals! Buckle up for the most outrageous episode 259 of The Rich Dickman Show: Deadpets.com, featuring the triumphant return of the one and only, Steven! Can you believe it? He's back, and we're losing our minds over here! In this wild ride of an episode, our hosts tackle a motley crew of topics, from giving advice to Jumpy Jillian about getting down and dirty in public without getting caught, to discussing a listener's morbid obsession with taxidermy. They even delve into the bizarre world of BrewDog beer, which is bottled inside taxidermy squirrels. As if that wasn't enough, the idea of strapping a Roomba to a dead raccoon and sending it off to a battle bot competition has us questioning our own sanity. Then there's Miller High Life, the so-called "champagne of beers." The hosts roast Belgian customs for destroying 2,300 cans of this precious brew, wondering if someone just wanted to drink it all. They also kick off a hilarious segment called "What Would Jesus Draw?", imagining Jesus as a firefighter in various bizarre scenarios, such as marrying another firefighter just for the health insurance. But the pièce de résistance is the return of Steven, who graces us with tales of his upcoming entourage-filled trips to Malta and Monaco. The hosts joke about Maltese language and Monacan people, while also sharing their own hilarious stories, like Cody's seafood adventure with his girlfriend and his embarrassing pizza-eating incident at a doll-sized table. So get ready for an episode that will have you laughing, cringing, and questioning the very fabric of reality. And remember, if you love what you hear, leave a review and tell a friend! Because nothing brings people together like bonding over dead raccoons and taxidermy squirrels.
