Jesus, the Kingdom, and everything else Jesus offers must be received as a gift given and not as a matter of entitlement, merit, right, or privilege.
We must do everything we can to bring our children to Jesus.
Be reminded of how valuable young people are and our need to minister - Biblically and lovingly - to them as unto The Lord; which must be in spite of how our culture tries to mislead and diminish them.

It is a mistake to believe that the best way to live life is to do so independently. It is a mistake to NEVER ask for help, never accept help, never rely upon people - because you believe they won't do it right or because you believe they'll let you down. There's a reason Jesus said that you have to BECOME like a (little) child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And it's probably NOT for the reason you think.

"Keeping it Simple" Wednesday night services. Verse by verse teaching through the book of Mark by Assistant Pastor Darrell Logan of Calvary Queen Creek, AZ.
If we do not accept the kingdom of God on the same basis as children, weak, helpless, unimportant, we will never enter it. Childlike faith lays aside all thoughts of status and privilege, it redefines our definitions of significance. We are not accepted by Jesus because we are special, we are special because we are accepted by Jesus.
Adults tend to look with skepticism on things that are offered for free. Why? As we age, we often lose the ability to receive something with joy because our culture tells us that nothing is free. But what does Jesus say about His Kingdom and what he offers for free? Listen as Pastor Jeremy teaches us from Mark 10:13-16 in his sermon about how to receive the Kingdom of God.

Jésus va être scandalisé de voir que ses apôtres décider de qui peut ou ne peut pas s'approcher de Lui... Leur façon de voir est religieuse et lié au mérites.
His reign isn’t measured by how many people serve Him but by how many He serves. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 (NLT)
No matter how far you have come in your walk with the Lord, we have to come to Christ every day with helpless dependence...we must come as a child. I know this passage is often used to preach that we are to have the "faith as a child" and yet interestingly this passage has nothing to do with faith at all. In fact, Jesus was talking about babies when he spoke these words. What are babies? They are helpless and dependent. It is only through helpless dependence that we can come into the kingdom!
Three aspects of Jesus' heart for children
Ages and Stages – Become like Children
Ages and Stages – Become like Children
Children are the future of any ministry...and just as Jesus bid the children to come to him, we should also rejoice in the joy and privilege of serving the next generation of believers. Being a "Next Generation Church" protects us from traditionalism, keeps us from living in the past, and keeps us pushing forward for the cause of Christ!
We turn from the subject of marriage to children. And we see in Mark the love Jesus has for children, but also the love he has for those who display childlike faith.

We would like our congregation to memorize a verse each month! But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!” Psalm 40:16 (ESV)

Jesus has so much to offer us when we choose to trust and obey him. They problem is that we sometimes struggle to receive what He has to offer. In this message we explore how our heart attitude determines whether we can receive what God wants to give. Mark(ed) by love - Part 8 - How to receive a gift - Mark 10:13-16 and 10:21-23

Deuteronomy 30:14 "But the Word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it."
One Touch of the Master's hand is what it takes to make everything alright. When you have no hope, all you need is that one touch. When you need that victory, that healing, all it takes is that push to just touch the hem of his garment. Let him touch you with his hand. Keep pushing to your victory!
