POPULARITY
Making much of the Easter celebration. What it is, why it's so important, and how it's necessary.
The Triumphal Entry
The triumphal entry begins the final act of the gospel of Mark. The last five chapters of Mark cover one week in the life of Jesus. Jesus has finally arrived in Jerusalem, and the triumphal entry is a great declaration of intent to His people. In the past He has been careful not to openly declare His kingship. But when He shows up in Jerusalem, He openly declares who He is. Everything in this story is by Divine design. When Jesus walks into Jerusalem, He wants everyone to know the true King has arrived. Palm Sunday. This Sunday we reflect on Jesus' Triumphal Entry and the Kingship of our Lord.
Building God's Kingdom, God's Way!
The Lord "needs" us to accomplish His Purpose. Therefore we must release to the Lord all that He asks of us. After all, everything and every one belongs to the Lord. He created everything and everything belongs to Him. But, the Lord gives back what we have given to Him, in time and in abundance. The Lord takes whatever we give and uses it for His glory.

His reign isn’t measured by how many people serve Him but by how many He serves. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 (NLT)

Mark 11:1-10 (NRSV) 1 When they were approaching Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples 2 and said to them, ‘Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden; untie it and bring it. 3 If anyone says to you, “Why are you doing this?” just say this, “The Lord needs it and will send it back here immediately.” ’ 4 They went away and found a colt tied near a door, outside in the street. As they were untying it, 5 some of the bystanders said to them, ‘What are you doing, untying the colt?’ 6 They told them what Jesus had said; and they allowed them to take it. 7 Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it; and he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields. 9 Then those who went ahead and those who followed were shouting,‘Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our ancestor David! Hosanna in the highest heaven!’ John 19:29-30 (NRSV) 29 A jar full of sour wine was standing there. So they put a sponge full of the wine on a branch of hyssop and held it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus had received the wine, he said, ‘It is finished.’ Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Pastor Jason teaches on Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem
The final week of Jesus' life starts with Him entering Jerusalem on a donkey to much pomp and fanfare from the assembled Jews. How did the crowd go from celebrating Jesus to yelling "Crucify Him!" by the end of the week? We can gain useful insight into our relationship with Jesus: the multitude had high expectations about what Jesus was supposed to do that week, but He carried out His Father's plan (much to the dismay of the people). How does our relationship with God change depending on our circumstances? Listen in as Pastor Leo gets into the heart of our servant Lord Jesus Christ.
