He might be the greatest writer about love that the world has ever known. But as is so often the case with Shakespeare, the biographical record raises as many questions as it answers. How often did Shakespeare fall in love, and with whom, and what happened? Who was Shakespeare's greatest love? In this episode, Jacke talks to David Medina about his book Shakespeare's Greatest Love, which argues that the answer has long been hiding in plain sight. Mike “C-Roc” welcomes Dr. Jenn Simmons, a trailblazing breast surgeon turned integrative oncologist, for a deeply personal and eye-opening conversation. Dr. Jenn opens up about growing up in a family marked by generations of breast cancer, including the tragic loss of her cousin, Linda Creed—the legendary songwriter behind hits like “The Greatest Love of All.” Driven by that heartbreak, Jenn pursued a groundbreaking career in breast surgery, becoming the first fellowship-trained breast surgeon in Philadelphia and a pioneer in oncoplastic surgery. But when her own health crisis led to a shocking diagnosis and conventional treatment recommendations she couldn't accept, Dr. Jenn chose a different path. Her journey through illness, self-discovery, and spiritual guidance led her to functional medicine—redefining how she helps women not only treat but prevent breast cancer. In this episode, Dr. Jenn and Mike "C-Roc "unpack the broken healthcare system, the dangers of a reactive medical model, and the power of reclaiming agency in your health. If you've ever questioned the status quo or wondered what else is possible when it comes to healing, this episode will ignite your curiosity and courage.Website-realhealthmd.com Social Media Links/Handles-https://www.facebook.com/DrJennSimmonshttps://www.instagram.com/drjennsimmons/?hl=enhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx_fzdw4ps8eSa1JPRrIsIw/videoshttps://www.tiktok.com/@drjennsimmons / https://keepingabreastwithdrjenn.buzzsprout.com/

Did you ever notice in the greatest love stories, defeat is never final, brokenness is just a vehicle to more beautiful, and aloneness is only an illusion. In the greatest love stories, love perseveres, love is ever present, and love redeems, restores, and revives. Did you ever notice the greatest love stories all have a dragon and someone who will fight the dragon to the death, for love. Do you know your life is a greatest love story? In 1986, Whitney Houston sang a powerful, positive message about nurturing our children and believing in their potential, titled "The Greatest Love of All." Fast forward to today, and the UN Secretary-General urgently reminds us of our duty: “leave no child behind” in the battle against human trafficking—a grave violation of human rights that preys on the most vulnerable among us. Tragically, one-third of trafficking victims are children, who endure unimaginable suffering, from forced labor to sexual exploitation and even recruitment as soldiers. The rise of online platforms has further exacerbated their vulnerability, allowing traffickers to exploit these innocent lives across borders. The long-lasting psychological and physical trauma these children face robs them of their innocence and future. It is imperative that we bolster our protective measures. This means implementing justice systems that are sensitive to children's needs, raising public awareness, supporting unaccompanied minors, and addressing the root causes of exploitation by aiding families in distress. We must rally governments, civil society, and the private sector, including tech companies, to work together to create an environment where no child falls victim to this crime and no trafficker escapes justice. In the United States, approximately 10,000 children are subjected to the horrors of commercial sexual exploitation each year, forced to perform unimaginable acts multiple times daily. Yet, those who perpetrate this abuse often evade accountability, blending back into their communities without facing consequences. The current fight against child trafficking is far from effective, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive and coordinated efforts to safeguard our most vulnerable populations and support child survivors. Now is the time to act. Let's commit to listening, learning, and taking meaningful steps to address this critical issue. Together, we can make a difference and protect our children's futures. Take a listen, learn things, and then share.

Her journey into breast cancer care began with a personal tragedy. At the age of 16, Dr. Jenn's cousin, acclaimed singer-songwriter Linda Creed, died of metastatic breast cancer just weeks after Whitney Houston's recording of her iconic song, "The Greatest Love of All," topped the charts. This loss became a defining moment, inspiring Dr. Jenn to dedicate her life to transforming how we approach breast cancer treatment and prevention.Dr. Jenn became Philadelphia's first fellowship-trained breast surgeon and spent 17 years leading the field. However, her perspective changed significantly when she became a patient herself. Through this personal experience, Dr. Jenn saw how broken the conventional medical system can be. This led her to discover and embrace functional medicine, a revelation that sparked her journey towards a more holistic approach to breast cancer care. This personal journey led her to create Real Health MD in 2019, a practice dedicated to holistic healing for breast cancer. It integrates conventional wisdom with root cause medicine and the drivers of health: nutrition, lifestyle changes, detoxification, and stress management. Dr. Jenn's innovative approach doesn't stop there. As the founder of PerfeQTion Imaging, she is establishing safe imaging centers across the nation, armed with revolutionary technology that promises to redefine breast cancer screening. This technology is not only fast and safe but also comfortable, affordable, radiation-free, and boasts 40 times the resolution of MRI. It has received FDA clearance, signaling a new era in breast health and breast cancer screening. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Jenn hosts the "Keeping Abreast" podcast, where she shares her expertise and encourages women to take control of their breast health. Her book, "The Smart Woman's Guide to Breast Cancer," challenges conventional wisdom and promotes a holistic approach. It emphasizes the importance of nutrition, lifestyle choices, and addressing environmental toxins, providing practical steps for women seeking to navigate breast cancer treatment and regain control of their health.Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Jenn is a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and athlete. Her life's mission is deeply personal, rooted in her cousin's memory, and driven by a desire to make a lasting impact on all those who desire breast health. Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15) • We do not claim to have attained to these lofty goals, but we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14) You can donate to this ministry through www.butnow.org and the PayPal button on the homepage.

This isn't your typical business podcast episode—this one's intimate, edgy, and might just change the way you see your business forever. What if your business wasn't just a vehicle for results and revenue, but your most passionate, devoted lover? In this episode, I invite you to look at your business as the greatest love story of all time. Are you deeply connected, or just passing ships in the night? Are you nurturing intimacy, or controlling and fixating on what's going wrong? I dive into how our relationship with our business is a direct reflection of our relationship with ourselves—our pleasure, creativity, life force, and divine connection. Because when we're in deep, committed alignment with our business, we don't just take action—we collapse time, we magnetize, and we become irresistible. This is the episode that will have you falling back in love with your business like never before.

When you pick up a Bible, you're actually holding sixty-six books, written by more than thirty authors over a span of thousands of years. And yet, it all tells one story! And that's the subject of our series titled, The Whole Story. We're going to go from Genesis to Revelation, hitting most of the major events in-between. But before we get to Genesis, Pastor J.D. kicks off the study with a quick stop in the book of Psalms.
What if I told you that love has a story? It’s bigger than you. It’s bigger than me. And it’s a story written just for you by the greatest storyteller of all time. This week on podcast, I had the incredible privilege of talking with Quina Aragon about her powerful new book, Love Has a Story. In our conversation, Quina shares how God, in His infinite love, has been writing a story of redemption and relationship since before the foundation of the world—and you’re a part of it. Through poetic meditations and moving prose, Quina invites us to discover the depths of God’s love: A love that existed before time began. A love that knows and cherishes every intimate detail of your life. A love that gave everything—His life, His blood, His wounds—to bring you into His family. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, lost, or unworthy, this episode will remind you that God’s love is bigger and more beautiful than we could ever imagine. Take a moment to listen and be reminded that YOU are cherished, chosen, and loved beyond measure. I pray this episode and Quina’s book inspire you to enter deeper into the greatest love story ever told—and to share that love with the people in your life. Stories of romantic love are everywhere, but the actor, singer and comedian Bridget Everett says great friendships deserve our time and attention, too. Not just onscreen, but in reality. On the HBO Original series “Somebody Somewhere” (now in its third and final season), Everett stars as Sam, a character inspired by the actor's own life. She tells Anna about how heartbreaking, hilarious and central platonic friendship is in the fictional world of the show, and in Everett's own relationships.Everett also reads a Modern Love essay called “When Your Greatest Romance Is a Friendship,” by the novelist Victor Lodato. Lodato was in his 40s when he accidentally found his “person,” and became the platonic life partner of an artist in her 80s who lived across the street.“Somebody Somewhere” is now streaming on Max.In April 2024, Lodato published “Honey,” a novel inspired by Austin Brayfield, the friend he wrote about in his essay.Want to leave us a voice mail message on the Modern Love hotline?
